There is a low chance of finding that settlement, sorry. Yes you can mod the client to give you coords, and @Atributz you say that helps but for those not PC savvy changing game files or adding things sometimes need more of a walkthrough.
From what I understand there are about 15 servers one of them being a test server that isn't public use. And as long as you die of -old age- and there is -no other Eve's- on the server you will always spawn near your last death.
Personally I play a lot on server 14. I have dotted that place with many starter settlements, while learning to play. I would love to see more people there for a casual chill experience so if that is something that interests you let me know or just show up!
If you need help on how to choose a specific server the method is here... https://onehouronelife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=236 scroll down below the picture. Also this requires you to change a couple things in the game file, but its not too difficult.
I once heard an epic tale of a man who traveled from the past, and saved the entire world! His name was 'Not Sure'
Dont let your name hold you back from great things!
( sorry for the constant idiocracy jokes and not really contributing to thread XD)
I am hoping to see some long lived dynasties with a great many stories for each. I hope that crowns are fiercely held onto and passed generation to generation.
I love how there is no guarantee the family legacy will be carried on. Will there be a black sheep who ends the great line of Carrotis? Will it be by betrayal? Will it be that they have no living heir?
Or will it be because they started using Brawndo Gatorade to water the crops?
Im loving this addition and in my hype am having a hard time seeing a downside. It also sounds like you wont be able to give troll names as there is a database of names that it checks to grab a similar one you typed. Yay!
EDIT: spelling
Zem Im just curious. Was the carrot farmer running up to people and forcing them to eat carrots while complaining about no Eve's? Iirc we were only two or three left at that point. It was such a bountiful setup, even carts full of carrot seed baskets. I think that was me with you at the end
That is true. Honestly, you could just show up with a cart and just steal everyone's stuff. If you are in a small group and all armed, no one is going to stop you. You wouldn't have to kill anyone unless they resist and people would probably respect them more if they roleplayed being raiders and took their stuff. They might still die if you take enough from them but at least they have a chance.
I hope I did the quote right, I usually dont skim forums but this game is fantastic and here I am.
THIS method of raiding would have been epic, it would have created an amazing RP dialogue, shown a more cunning force, and would have made it clear you were after "supplies, stuff" and not some kill thrill.
I wouldnt doubt that it would have given a greater possibility to a past memory pardon, rather then a backstab. But here I am attempting to tell others how to raid or 'play' the game. I think the comparisons between RL and video game have a limit. Can of worms sort of thing.
I do not see anyone really in the 'wrong' here. PvP happened and in a survival game PvP can sting, it can really cut deep. Just remember that when slaughtering unnarmed people trying to have their own fun as well. And always if you -rise to the FIGHT, prepare for the FATE.
Hah! I really appreciate any idea that creates fun things to do in games.
When a random player asks what task they can help with, Mother responds "Find and bring back an Eve, and save us all my son."
With head held high and a spring in their step they leave, charged with their epic and monumental task...
Meanwhile you sit there chuckling under your breath ..."sucker"
And yet, its still a win win! er.. or maybe my imagination runs wild.
But again to actually contribute to this thread, I am never a fan asking for features to be taken or nerfed. And hope this does not become normal or standard practice.
This must be happening more on certain servers. Its certainly not rampant, Ive been playing all day and some yesterday and have been killed via PvP once.
Jason wrote earlier in this thread, "Really, I just need to keep tweaking it until it's possible for "police work" to take place. Right now, it sounds like there's just not enough evidence to pursue or convict."
I love this line of thinking, pvp solutions to pvp problems. Especially when the community comes together against griefers! I just hope he sticks to his original and core ideals for the game. I have no intention of ever killing players but would hate to see the danger of it leave!
Its very much a death sentence sometimes to get a male spawn which is a shame.
When born a male I often leave the village and setup mini bases for the next Eve coming through, make their lives easier if they pass by. Just give me a basket of food and maybe abackpack if you have one and Im happily on my way!
Exploring is often fun sometimes, you stumble across ghost towns or other lone players out there
