Inflammatory title aside, how do you kill with a knife? Is it bugged?
An elderly woman was terrorizing a thriving town. She killed about 7-8 town folk, including me. I chased her for most of that and was unable to stab her. I right clicked and left clicked many times. I clicked on her. I clicked on the tile she was on and the tile she was passing through. With the slow, it should have been easy.
My client has auto-updated a couple of times over the past few days. I didn't see any posts on the forum regarding changes. Could we get a link to the change log when the client updates? It's pretty interesting for games like League of Legends, even for bugfixes.
Thanks!
It's funny that you uploaded a picture of your screen instead of a screenshot.
Impressively quick find on the database issues! I have been studying kissDB the past couple of weeks (because of this game), and was thinking that may be happening.
An idea you may consider is to periodically sort the entries in the first N hash tables by most recently referenced, and trim off the end as having "decayed". That should also stop the unnatural despawning of items in front of the player.
I love the intellectual depth of this game, and I admire the developer transparency you champion!
Cheers
Could it be a different server? Unless you hardcoded the custom server setting, you may have been load balanced to a different server.
OT, but how are you logging coordinates to the console?
#metoo. I don't know if it's 3, but at least 2.

I can post it there if you want. Where exactly do I post it, or can only Jason do that?
I was hoping for one from the developer POV. I went though ~15 crashes before calling it, but I've been reading the source and was just curious.
Edit: You can add an issue here: https://github.com/jasonrohrer/OneLife/issues. Looks like this one's fixed though.
Primary function for baskets are carrying multiple items. You shouldn't need a basket on each tile of a city. A structure for storage would be nice, though. A granary, butchery, smithy, etc...
