I've been succesfully using my "From A to Z how good ar you?" method in order to know what to teach to whom...it reduces the selecting by forum debates, and it gives you as a mother more time to organise. If you have a Z baby, they will know to stay in good temp and you'll have time to run around untill they starve, or if you have the time you can teach a begginer the ropes, etc.

So far, I've been quite succesfull with the kid rating...i succsesfully established a little camp with a "J" and  a "P"...Also raised a "C" and taught her how the game works...i will keep using the A to Z...i don't think having to many options is a problem at this point. It's subjective anyway..It mostly comes down to splitting the alphabet in 3-4 areas (A-G -> begginers, H-N -> Medium, O-T -> Advanced, U-Z -> Pro) and use the fine tuning to help you make an idea about that kid.
e.g. teach noobies the rules, let mediums run small errands untill they are old enough for you to teach them more complicated stuff, send advanced players to gather resources you need...clay, baskets, seeds, rabbits, branches, etc. and let pros do whatever they want, if you are not a pro yourself...if you are..boss those kids around like it's noone's bussiness.
Also...don't be rude when you have to abbandon children...it will happen...some kids will be too much for what you can sustain...just tell them you're sorry and send them out to find a rattle toy to play with (they don't know it bites).

So yea..so far this has worked out for me and ma bebes...except for the "play with rattle toy" ones. Try it out!:D

Edit: This just came to me...you can also name the kids according to their letter (use it as a first letter to their name), cause if you are like me and have over 9000 kids, you forget who they are...especially in old age. I will keep testing this and post results back here.

i tried it out a bit..i actually got an "S", a "J" a "C"...so non-griefers will probably be honest..i see no point in lying. You just have to realise as a new or newish player that you can learn from your mother or your siblings. And if you are an established player, your mom will be able to tend to the other things that need attention, knowing that you will not starve like an "A" or a "C" or something.
If you try it out, let me know what was your experience with this.

I just thought of a rating system that could benefit everyone.
I started making my kids rate themselves from A to Z at birth as a condition to stay alive...

Hope my kids see this...I am sorry i died kids, but i underestimated my old age...

Back to the matter at hand; I think making people rate themselves can help lone eves to decide if they can establish with a kid. Maybe try to teach a "C" the rules, or get a "O" to maybe start learning smithing, or an "X" as a scout or ruler, and bigger villages to organize better.

Just putting it out there.. I am curious what you guys think of this...is

"FROM A TO Z HOW GOOD ARE YOU?"

a good thing or not?

I was born in what seemed a newly found little farm...Gramma spouting rules to me and my sister i think...didn't see much of her..
Mom said: "I will not fail you"...we were all naked...but i had high hopes...I was named BOB...i was ok..
Gramma and mom were farming and i just spent my time crying for food..
Three years old....Mom took me on a walk....i saw some worms...i asked my mother: "wht wor mdo?"
Mom says: "Hmmmmm"
Those were the last words i heard from my mom as the horizon whitened,
I got to say: "BYE" as Gramma was shouting from the top of her lungs in the background: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

I was three minutes old when it happened...where were you?

yea so everything u made is now gone. every big city is gone. we need to start over.

all the servers getting resetted.

This would have been funnier if the monolith makes eves stop spawning and the server has to survive until it really ends.

BEST IDEA EVER!
And when the last one dies, reset server

My story goes something like this:
I was born to a poor mother. She gave birth to me in a small deserted village. She nursed me to childhood, and shortly after i was able to fend for myself she passed away, leaving me with a cart of carrots i couldn't carry and not much more. But this is not the sad part. My name was Jack Chadwick.

I spent my early days putting some supplies together. I was determined to find civilization if it was the last thing i did. So i started wandering further and further from home. When i was a teenager, luck made it that i met my best friend...It was a wild horse which i tamed and named Stallion. He was my only companionship so i cherished him as another human. I hooked my carrot cart to Stallion, i burried my mother Eve Chadwick and i left in search of civilization.

I traveled maybe half of my life..just me and Stallion, through savanas and snow, forests and swamps, dodging lonely wolves and hungry bears, until i found another person; an EVE! I was the happiest. I had a purpose again...i had hope...we were in a big deserted town...everything was there. i started a fire for my newly found wife and our kids, i trained some of the kids in farming, i sent some of them for rabbits...My wife started baking pies...i was happy, and most of all thankfull for all the people that came before us, allowing our little family develop into something.

But soon enough we had to make compost and i went in search of the domestic berry bushes..they had to be around, right?....and then i saw it...just a bit south of the town...it was a masacre...a huge berry field...a field at least 20x20 tiles DESTROYED....all the berry bushes lied on the ground staring me in the soul...dug up by some monster...all of them...the only ones around for miles...green and alive, but useless...dug up and left on the ground to rot...mocking me..for the whole world to see what HE DID...
He destroyed hours and hours of work..lifetimes of people cooperating to create something beatifull....something sustainable...the basis of a civilization...lifetimes of people desperately running for a pouch of water when they saw the yellow bush, just not to lose it...LIFETIMES WASTED BY A GRIEFER...LIFETIMES...hours me or you sank into that city in order to make it great...HOURS...AND HOURS......

I litterally shed a goddamn tear as these thoughts went through my head...so i did what a man must do...i grabbed an axe, i rounded up all the family (wife+6 kids at this point) i took them to the crime site and i showed them what one monster can do, as i choped each and every berry bush into firewood, under my children's eyes, tears in my eyes....

At this point  my life was closing to an end...i grabbed my old friend Stallion....went on a quick run to find full berry bushes, filled 4 bowls and took them back to my family for compost in order to undo what HE had done...replant those bushes for future generations to come.
I said goodbye to my family, i gave my eldest daughter my knife and my old friend Stallion to keep and cherish and i went and died by those bushes...may my bones feed the ground from wich they came.

That is the story of one of my saddest lives...I hope i was an example for my children and them seeing me turn all that work into worthless firewood made them think twice about destroying other people's sweat and tears.

If YOU are reading this...YOU are what's wrong with the world today!

P.S. I had printscreens but lost them. sry

If you get a horse drawn cart and tie it to a fence, that fence becomes passable by both players and animals. That became an issue when i tied my stallion express to the sheep pen in order to get something to eat and the sheep started hoping out of the pen. The 2 sheep that escaped had to become saddles sadly.
