I really like the gameplay. A lot of the frustrating things are what makes the game interesting and unique. I think your direction on the gameplay is fantastic and I am happy with it.
My suggestion for increased long term engagement is stat tracking. Some way to see your average stats across all of your lives:
average life span
average subsequent generations
average resource production
mortality rate of your children
Benefits of stats:
Motivation to keep playing to try to keep improving your stats
Motivation to not suicide until you are born into a situation you feel like playing out
Motivation to raise children, even when it is hard
Motivation to try your hardest in each life.
I did something confusing because I thought it was funny... so sorry about that.

I was this Eve West. I spawned in a huge deserted town full of rag clothes and languishing bushes. I thought it might be an old west village so I named myself West. Looks like the town has been resurrected fully now so that is cool. Just spawned as this person http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … &id=319401 and worked on kraut for a while. Very weird that I spawned in a dead town. It was eery, like post-apocalyptic.
I was eve. The successful West family inspired the name South. That spot we picked for town was pretty sweet, close to all the biomes. Only downside was not a ton of good forage opportunities nearby. My kids were awesome, and that was the most successful Eve experience for me so far (only been playing about a week or two).
