@WomanWizard
There is no strong commitment, its just a goof really. I'd send the lines through and then you'd record them when you feel ready. Maybe even jump in a discord call together so I can "direct" and make sure the inflection is right.
@Tana
I don't have any real voice in mind for the character, so I am open to any interpretation of her. I'm sure a french accent would be lovely.
To both of you, I have to finish up the script, but once I have I can send you both a couple of the lines so you can give it a go.
So, this happened an hour or so ago... Yes in fact, one lifetime ago, so it was indeed an hour.
I was in a relatively well constructed civilisation. All was going well, people seemed to be thriving. Work was being done without any hitch. I had to say goodnight to my girlfriend, so I figured if I stand still and rush, I can get back before I starve... Did so no problem... However... In the time I was gone, all went quiet.
I returned to find that bustling activity that I had grown to know in this town, was all but a whisper now. As I explored, i found a bloody corpse.
Two men stood not far from it. I asked them "What happened?"
The told me to retrieve the knife that had caused this horrible scene, and informed me it was in the hospital. That's right, this place even had a medics building set up... With a sign and everything. I figure, no problem. better I have the knife than anybody else. Well that would have been ideal... had it not been a trap.
The second I entered the building, they shut the door behind me. it was then i noticed there is no knife, and that there was the corpse of my cousin, laying right next to me. Naturally, I attempt to leave, but find they have locked me inside.
I didn't even know locked doors were a thing until this happened. Obviously I starved...
This seems to me like an all to easy way to grief. Maybe it's my own fault, but even so, I was then doomed thanks to the actions of these two monsters.
Be careful when entering buildings guys, it may end up your tomb.
I am working on a new video, one that takes place from the perspective of a female character. With my previous video (Shameless plug... here is the link: https://youtu.be/YpQ_3bVBJKc
Sorry... Couldn't resist) I voiced a narrator, so the female character wasn't an issue. However this time around I will be doing it from a first person perspective. My female voice just doesn't cut the mutton pie, so I thought I would extend it to the community before searching reddit or other such places.
If you are interested, give me a reply. If I don't find someone in couple of days here, then i will look elsewhere.
Thanks for the interest and happy hour long lives.
Haha that was amazing. I will definitely join the stew crew.
I've learnt the reason to not be a berry person and have a deep admiration for the members who cook us stew. They are the MVP's of any tribe.
Thanks very much RedBug. I just learned how to make a crock pot, so learning how to fill it would be great.
Hey all. Thanks for the kind words.
Jason, yeah you've managed to create a very unique game here, and it's one of the first that really encourages team work in a way that is organic. Hard wiring the benefit of society in to the concept was an incredible idea, and one that I've wanted to see in a game for a long time, so I salute you for pulling it off in such a spectacular way. I may actually make a video essay about how you've designed a game that actively discourages toxic behaviour, which I'm sure well know is a plague on gaming these days.
On a side note, I did say "ILU" to one of my mothers and they literally laughed in my face, but that just made me laugh even more so it still lead to positivity.
DJ, you were a great mother.I wanted to impress you. To show my worth. I'm sorry I let the Ding family down!
Not sure if this is really the right place for this kind of thing, but I made a video depicting a short lifetime on the game, that i feel represents the struggle in it's most basic form. This is not a "Let's play" but rather a narrative driven rendition.
Hope you enjoy.
