a multiplayer game of parenting and civilization building

"Or you could be on the other side planning on how to raid a city ..."
That isn't part of civilization building, nor parenting. Nor is it trying to maximize survival time for all players.
"So what you have done is sucked the concept of SURVIVAL,"
Where is it intended behavior to maximize survival for all. From what the Steam page says it seems like your family is the most important. It seems like it would be intentional design to forcefully conquer other families especially if they refuse to give you needed resources to progress the tech tree? Killing and conflict can be justified with how we build up our towns. I mean technically it would be better for a family to survive by forcefully taking a different family to a town close by so trade is easier.
Although I generally frown upon this like this I think it may be best to require the "code leader" or whatever through the voting system to show some sort of ID maybe doesn't have to be government issued and set term limits/max terms so a "whale" can't just buy the game.
Its true Laggy has already created a lot of accounts, i am one of them, Spoonwood is another, we are all the same person.
Seriously? That is true?
Is your custom server getting info from the actual onehouronelife servers? Maybe you are connected to the actual game code somehow? Multiple different areas in the code that need the values changed? I recall people saying Jason has some interesting coding styles although I think it was on variables not being used in other locations where they could have so hmmm...
Use 2 accounts and make them bots. Have the bots look around town and find food when hungry and when full just stand at the nursery with indoor bonus maybe not a fire needed and to cycle between the 2 bots as mother baby. Just hope no one interrupts the bots.
How the heck did you even get 134 curses? That is just so many that its impressive.
Yes please. Freedom of Speech doesn't give people the right to be toxic or hurtful.
No, Freedom of Speech IS HATE SPEECH. If you take away the right for someone to say specific words then you do not have free speech. Who determines what is hateful speech? A federal government that is corrupt? Your average twitter oh I mean x user? What if these words are used for educational or critical purposes? Have you seen the one from the UK where the woman gets arrested for posting a lyrics of a rap song that contains the N word? The left doesn't like the police either and they consider them "racist" so who's to say the racist authorities wouldn't use the hate speech laws to arrest black people easier and they even used the words more.
Yo photos don't work
The photograph object does absolutely nothing even on vanilla. Checked for a popup and or a difference in pixels on the photo does none. Some of the normal photos taken weren't even showing on the website. On the stage where you retrieve the photo from the camera it was briefly saying NO INFORMATION then I went to vanilla and it gave steps but no photograph.
Revert game to v196!
It takes 72 berries and 12 carrots to make a short and pants. x20 for your village you're looking at 1440 berries and 240 carrots. That's about 27 buckets of water. Not even considering backpacks hats or shoes. I don't think it would be enjoyable gameplay for clothing at such expensive tiers to decay. The issue with dyed clothing is it relies heavily on family specialization. Green clothes for example you will need the jungle and desert families to make which is also not fun gameplay.
You should check your links at the bottom of your foekm messages. I think this player might have been referring to dyeing wool sweaters that are close to decaying to update there decay transition timer?
.... and this is why you have to be *passively mean in cycles* and not go full clown mode. If you are good 90% of the time and 10% of the time bad, people will dislike you for the deviations in play style but they won't go too insane. Anyways I guess it's time to crank out some diesel engines in *good person mode*
Really cool idea it makes sense how that could work out but a few flaws. 1. I highly doubt Jason's engine can support multi layered buildings. 2. We already have a second attempt method for apoc which incites lots of drama in the community. 3. Would be better off creating your own server. One Hour One Moon or something.
Just go back to random iron on the ground and occasional mines.
Posted on github as well. Would be more realistic and help with anti griefing if the sleepy bear moves slower.
Oh yeah I forgot how bad it is being naked gen 2.
When I Eve I find a spot with atleast 2 iron veins, decent swamp, and soil pits nearby. Ideally the spring is in middle of grassland and swamp biomes. The expected non roleplay non griefer goals if the kids aren't noobs is generally.
1. Steel in 20-30 mins
2. Buckets towards end of Eve life
3. Rebirth and make simple fence sheep pen
(Haven't done more because my Eve fam got griefed at gen 1 and I was roleplaying and still got those done...)
I feel like kerosene mining picks (what iron is eventually supposed to be balanced around) isn’t even being used because of a combination of looting and the highway system allowing players to both interact with other and snag up extra iron.
I enjoy using and making them. Made one the other day in the Dong family of which I was Eve.
Sleepy bear move timer should be 5 seconds instead of the default 3. As it is sleepy and might not have full stamina.
If bears attack and wound people when they come out it prevents legitimate bear hunters (not a thing I know)
Tevnoba... He goes on bear massacres and hunted like 80 bears in a life the other day.
Nay unless I'm emotionally disturbed.
Maybe something in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\One Hour One Life\settings relating to FPS or Vsync? When I got my 1440 monitor which I think has slightly higher hHz it needed to do some adjustments but the game detected it automatically.
And the biggest issue is all the idiots, over farming. They just see a grown plant and harvest it, even though the boxes and ground are full of piles, not getting used.
Me when 80 garlic bulbs in the town...
What is your monitor?
According to "recent" game mechanics the current ways to murder are as follows.
1. Have the village leader exile the person using the command I Exile you or I Exile (First name + Last name) This is the reason as to why you could not stab the afk as they had allies which are the village members. The village leader system is extremely unbalanced and most times it's just not even worth killing via weapons. The village leader gets picked by whoever has the highest genetic fitness (meme score) and the meme score is determined by how LONG you and your close relatives such as mom, gma, kids, grandkids, and your siblings kids LIVE. Therefore the leader is encouraged to not kill people potentially even griefers that are their offspring because then next life they will not be leader... (I have never been 1st place out of 1300 hour playtime and this one person I was talking to who is NEW to the game got 1st place recently.)
2. Be in the wild with the person you want to kill as they have no allies in range that can "protect them"
3. Convince the other person to say the command I follow myself or I follow (your name) and then exile them if they follow you... Wait but I think you might need to unfollow the village leader then you can be killed (citation needed)
TLDR Killing is very hard to do with conventional means and for AFK people especially since the village leader would often feed a husk to get a number up then save food for the townsfolk.
