Alright. Disclaimer, I played this game for the first time in nearly a year so there are probably some new mechanics that I am not aware of.
The biggest things that stuck out to me would be the overcomplicated iron system. It doesn't feel intuitive at all and is needlessly confusing. As a returning player I was at a complete loss trying to figure out what the game wanted me to do, and nobody was able to explain it to me in-game either. Which leads me to believe it's probably confusing for other players as well.
I also was disappointed to find that you can only have children in your home zone. As far as I know there is no way to emigrate your family to a new area, which was my preferred way to play in the past. Creating a sister town to the main family settlement or even integrate your family into a completely new town lead to some of the most interesting player interactions in the past imo.
Both these changes really limit the amount of freedom and choice that originally charmed me about the game. I'm sure there's a reason these restrictions were added but for me they dampen the experience overall.
Of course after you play a game for that many hours it will begin to loose its charm. Take your own advice and wait for a few more updates to come out before playing again.
Dogs should eat something harder to get, like carnitas.
Yes! We need a dog kibble recipe.
I always do Catherine and Katherine.
Being cursed is treated as an achievement and gives some people more of an incentive to be bad so they get cool text. Like a vanity perk. I agree it would be more balanced with "blessed" children being added as well. I can think of a lot of interesting situations that could arise by having both blessed and cursed players.
Zeus of the Telander family? I know just who you're talking about
Thank you for all your hard work!
Unnecessarily complicated imo. I prefer simply having a buff so it is optional if you want to micromanage your eating habits. It is hard enough for new players to figure out what they CAN eat without adding another layer of "you HAVE to eat so many different things". I like that you are rewarded for taking the extra step to be mindful of what you eat, but I don't think you should be punished for not doing that. The game is supposed to be fun after all.
Its for the aesthetic.
Where you by any chance in the Bullet family earlier. In the end I was the last one alive.
A bit off topic, just felt like mentioning that I happened to be part of the Bullet family as Blue III. My mother, Violet, left the town early to start her own but unfortunately she only ever had one son. We had quite the nice civ going though.
