I feel really bad for all the new people pouring in. They are eager to learn, and there are many eager to teach, but this update means it's impossible. There's no moment of calm, only impending overpopulation and starvation.
It definitely got more hardcore than anyone expected.
interesting to see someone 'kill as many girls as possible' and still consider themselves the victim o_e
most of my time playing is on server 15 in an eve chain. i really love the solo play mechanic cuz it's my preferred way to play (building cities, libraries etc on my own)
i think this is a great mechanic for servers with a small population, but i can see how it could be 'abused' on larger servers.
if the eve chain only occurs on servers with limited fertile females & population, i think that would be for the best.
i've been playing for a while (150+ hours) and at this point it's hard to play with others. i think with seniority you start to notice all the ways that people actively try to grief. when i was a newbie, i'd never think to look for 'missing' tools behind trees, but i certainly do that now...
there are a couple 'rules' which i hear a lot. for example: always leave one berry on a bush, always leave one sheep unshorn, and don't cut down important trees... not necessarily true in all situations, but good advice to newbies
Yeah, I pretty much kill anyone who is abusing snowballs. it's really OP and underestimated.
wowow I was your daughter!! (claire)
Yeah, Leah seemed intent on killing everyone with snowballs after that. So I ended up walling the snow pile off & saving who I could.
Also, I'm credited as killing a little girl. In reality, my son 'accidentally' shot her with a bow (as if). So I took the arrow out, and tried to remove the embedded arrowhead with a knife, but ended up stabbing her cuz it wasn't sterilized (big frickin oof) (that sucked). I mean, we had no healing pads but... I wanted to try.
Unfortunately it looks like the line died off. But it was fun meeting you all and building stuff in a semi-abandoned town ^-^
