it's always a good idea to keep female afk alive, it still allows for kids to be born... and it makes a nice bit of RP
So you roleplay that you're keeping a woman in a coma alive whilst making sure she has children whilst in the said coma? Sounds a tidbit rapey too me.
Also, take into account that you get one steel ingot back after smelting two broken steel tools so the amount of steel and iron available all depends on management and recycling.
I’ve told someone not to finish the last berries on a tame bush. This seemed logical to me, because empty bush = soil and water, which might not come in an unlimited supply (especially before sheep). But then I read somewhere that its better to finish the bush and let it respawn. Does it respawn if you don’t finish the berries? Can someone clear this up for me? It’s kind of hard to ask about this stuff in game and I don’t want tonspread bad info.
A domesticated berry bush does not resupply without input. This means that you need to empty it, then wait a bit until it gets darker, add soil and water and wait even longer for it to fully regrow.
Always, empty bushes that you see before picking berries of full bushes. Not doing so might cause a famine when all berry bushes have been emptied and there is no food whilst you wait for the bushes to regrow.
I think it's better to have a bowl full of berries at all times if there are enough bowls to go around for the other jobs first, ofc.

If you didn't know it already. Only works when you're an infant.
I already know it. Did you read my article? I'm angry because it only applies to infants.
In addition, it is only active when they hug someone.
There is no suicide button an nowhere is it implied that you know about it. Fuck me for trying to help, right?

This is a brilliant update and absolutely practical. The bugfixes alone will help us immensely.
It was very fun to read. I haven't been to any of the villages or towns you wrote about but it sure sounds like a good time.
How do people find Casino town if no one is there to ring the bell?
Great idea, but shouldn't the game be period neutral?

Eating the skin is a bad idea; it contains urushiol, the toxin in poison ivy that causes you to itch and blister. Can you imagine having poison ivy on the inside of your throat? At the very least, a sharp stone or flint chip should be needed to remove the skin; it's nearly impossible to peel by hand. (I use a potato peeler when I'm working with mango in my baking.) Trying to eat a mango without processing it first is a messy, time-consuming job.
Fair enough, I'm no mango expert. However, maybe a flint chip would suffice to cut it open?
More like farmer, but yeah. Except they fatten them up before stabbing.
Anyway, mangoes are OP. They should have a limited lifespan IMO, like 5-10 harvests.
I think the word you're looking for is sustainable. Or do you mean to say I should scold my fruit trees in my backyard for producing multiple harvests?
Edgy games are kind of a lot, it's always good to have some conventional features when you break new ground. If not just revolutionise the gaming industry by deleting the EXE and call it art. Right?
Gentlemen, may I introduce you to the "send email" function that's on this forum?
Did people want fruit trees? It's not so bad. Decore, and another low effort job you can do to help the village in the long run. It's just a shame you can't eat the mangos right as they are without a knife.
Maybe you could find another way to be needed? You know... making compost, building a pen, breeding the first sheep/cow etc. Setting up the foundation for society to advance not just building from nothing?
You can still play a parent role by taking care of the little ones by teaching them how to play if they're new (steam is coming so there will be enough). You'll be a wise uncle passing knowledge. That's parenthood too in a way. God knows the mother wont have time seeing how she'll be plagued by children all the time.
Cheese would be nice. People might actually start cultivating cows more often now that it seems like they can be killed.
No thank you I want the black lady instead! Im still waiting for the new skins... I want ginger guy and dark black lady
But... new features over aesthetics?
And dead cows too!
OMG, yes! I can't think of a more self-righteous title for a suggestion. "Drop everything and hear what I have to suggest for I know what debates this game needs to have".
One minor thing - in activity screen it isn't shown "gabal now owns One Hour One Life". It is probably due to integration with Steam, it usually shows up when you buy a game on Steam or activate a product key.
It's because it hasn't been released yet.
I believe this would require better communication than the game has to offer... I have seen a couple pretty structured towns that you can tell were made with coordination using a third party communication service like discord.
But wouldn't it be amazing?
If anything I would like some structure. People are far too independence oriented in the game. That's mostly why we don't achieve anything more than villages. Let's be honest, your two building "city" is not a city, nor a town, it's a village anarchy at best.
Designated jobs, apprenticeships to ensure successors, buildings that aren't too large, farms outside the town, food sources like bread, milk and stew in the houses, smaller 3x4 berry farms spread out in the town to feed children (see it as parks if you will), trading resources for favours or food. Some degree of a hierarchy will develop naturally as the society grows and I do not mean the silly absolute monarchy stuff that holds no legitimacy. An elder council would be one idea, elders are needed to document things anyways since they can write the longest texts.
It would also be nice to see some small-scale farmholds. Build a farmhouse, plant 3x3 of stew crop, 3 rows of wheat, 3x3 berries, give them a milk cow, oven and geese, enclose farm over generations, make sure to tend the outside forest, milkweed farms, skewer farms, etc. Tada, a freeholder's farm dependent on the town for tools and luxury items and rare food like burritos. They will trade food and forestry items for services. It's the best thing. Got too many children? Send them into town to find another job or build another freehold. Connect the entire city-state with roads and you got a functioning society.
Pen
Also people asking for backpack.
As annoying as suiciding babies are, is it just the high child mortality humanity has suffered through up until the 20th century, and still have in some areas? It can be explained like that, but I certainly agree that not having girls to bring the lines forward is a bad idea. Maybe there could be a situational mechanic that counts the number of fertile females and if there is only one left the chance for having girls would be bigger if not guaranteed? It's a bit gamey and unnatural maybe, but honestly playability over realism any day.
Who are you again?
More insulation options would be what wool would be best for. So wall coverings, rugs, blankets, padding, etc. As society progresses it is highly likely to create a class system and it would be very nifty to have finely woven wool clothing as luxury items.
Also, wool can be used as soil fertilizer. For whatever reason, we might be needing that in the future.
