The whole game is just grind if it resets this fast
I don't care about revisiting my old stuff but if I put an hour of work in I want it to stay for at least a week
Eve window and family to end arc is not the right way to control arc length in my opinion.

How about letting dark nosaj reset and use this as end condition. No eve window

One could run a private airport flying out to get kerosine and other non renewables

Player's who water all carrot seeds I prepared for "carrots on demand" and then let them all make seeds.
I remember the days before carrots. This game was so hard couldn't make it to my thirty's. Lost my town looking for food. It has gotten a lot easyer and lots of players are pampered.
I think the challenge of survival was what got me hooked in the first place.
We need a challenge for developed towns.

Yes professions should be chosen not fixed at birth.
I'm not talking about splitting all crafting into professions. Just the really hight level
Snaring a rabbit is an easy thing every one can do that.
But making fancy clothes should be something valuable and tradable, but right now it's not
These things could be professions:
loom
Newcomen tools
Belltower(stoneblocks)
Gold smithing
Mabye some of the fancy foods
New Hightech items later.
Yes giving newcomers a boost and water tanks made the rift way more lifable

If we had a voice chat on the ohol discord for every family we could talk and work at the same time
What if you are born with a gift.
Like a 1:50 chance for engeneer
If you have that gift you are able to craft engine
Or a 1:10 for stonemason which allows you to make stone blocks
This should only apply to high tech stuff
Most stuff should be doable by anyone but some stuff should be spezialised to make them have value in trading
Or Mabye this gift is selected by the player. But as long as one person can do everything noone has to cooperate
Skills would be a great way to make social interactions beneficial.
If you talk with a skilled Smith or hunter you learn from them. And with that time saved you can get even more skilled than your teacher. And if only a master Smith can make a crown the crown is valuable therefore trade is encouraged too.
