One time I sent my son out to get iron since he never spoke and I suspected he was a bad egg. To my surprise just as I turn old, he comes back home WITH A CART. It was about to break but he did well.
It's not that hard to survive, and we do try to teach new people. If you are willing to learn and use your time well, you should be fine!
I've been a milkmaid. I just wanted to drop my kid in the baby fire, but just then our milkmaid got too old. Now no one else was going to do it, and she was really nice, so accepted her offer. It's not that boring. All the children that I looked after referred to me as "mother" and I gained respect among the town.
It is slightly stressful because of the amount of babies but if you enjoy talking to people and making their childhood interesting, go for it! I told them stories about
"Jack and the berry bush" and
"goldilocks and the three sisters stew"
Eventually it will get calmer. We just need grit and resilience! Keep going!

I play once a week, and recently I notice, this game is losing direction, and indeed it a bit boring lately.

there are a lot of things we missed before this "Crude Airplane" shows up on earth. Here have some references;

and after that, this game can give some Future tech, just like on this Game's Trailer, that robot, cars and mono-rail.

1. It's "dev" just one guy. Doing everything. Give him time.
2. This is not a historical simulator. If we had an apocalypse today, we wouldnt have a bronze age because we immediately know how to make steel

I blame my mom. Our childhood was spent happily throwing snowballs at each other (allowing breaks for food) then mom got super competitive and killed my uncle, grandma and sister. Traumatised.
This kid was snowballing. He watched three kids die, I asked him to stop. He said "no fu" and proceeded to spam attack me with them. I took matters into my own hands and stabbed him. He runs up to his mom and screams murder. And they believe him! Then this lady chased me with a knife saying I pucked the seedrow.
1st of all: I was picking them before you. I left a row FOR THAT REASON. I didn't mind because we had loads of seeds and it was only one carrot.

I GOT KILLED/CURSED FOR STABBING A KID WHO WAS KILLING BABIES.
Can we stop assuming kids are innocent? If the adult is not going "hahaha noob" maybe there was a good reason?

Stop complaining about last names. They do matter. We had a griefer from another village but no one knew he was an outsider because he also had no name.
I like having our own separate villages. One time a girl found my eve camp and immediately assumed I knew who 'Ezra' and 'the queen' were. Maybe pioneering can wait a bit. At least till travalling as a group is easier.
Well my lads. It ended. BUT we did it! I'm proud of you Adam and you Nugget. 90% of the village was made by you! I saw a stream on twitch, they kept the original kiln!

I was out catching rabbits when I believe Nunzio told me about the bears the twins (he said marchelle) brought into town, i lured one bear away and we got to make a bow, killed a goose for file.After the bears were gone, we were down to no women and two girls. Seems like we still did pretty well, if over thirty generations survived.
by the way, they are still alive, a woman died 11 minutes ago, in old age!
edit: looks like she was a griefer, let's see if the line survived, or if they are the end of a valiant line.

One time one of my kids was what is called..."special" they believed the good of the world and grew EXTREMELY attached to their "gam-gam". Once grandma got old I knew what I had to do. There was no WAY on EARTH I was ruining my kid's innocence - So I said let's play hide and seek and didn't look for her. Parent of the year!

i still fundamentally don't see the issue with any of this.
Don't let your kids go nameless. Simple as that. The surname carries a linage and its own story with it. A first name is meaningless.
The last name is the way to make your lineage matter. Also why do Eve's keep naming babies before naming themselves?

I made Lola the queen! I lived in the main hub, travelled a bit but was too old to make it back. I had originally wanted to give my crown to my daughter April but...that couldn't happen now. So I picked the next best thing. A dude called Lola.

I was a memember of a different Speed family. My mom was called future and told me and my brother we were going towards the bell. While my brother was getting food or something, my mom picked me up and ran away. We left him behind.
And of course since travelling together is difficult, we got split up too. As I stopped to eat some berries I saw a young boy doing the same! My bro! He made it!
We continued, together but when i had my daughter Future it disrupted the order. She eventually ran off so we kept going. We were going through a swamp and both turned different ways, I tried to find him
But my brother was gone.
I continued, determined to find the town, to find my mom and brother. I came across a deadland I saw a little blonde baby, all alone. She was my sister! My mom was close. I tried feeding her a berry before continuing. I couldn't be the last one ibto the town. What if they forgot me?
I continued going. I made it. A few people called Diamond gave me a sheepskin. As I explored looking for my mother, I found her : My blonde sister! She was all grown up now! She told me mom had abandoned her for another daughter, so she came on her own. I looked around and couldn't see my brother. I didn't want to be here without him.
So I waited
And didn't eat
