Cursing the first person to stab is a horrible idea, please use some brain cells.
If its year 1000 (Still young) and you spot someone doing Apoc then its reasonable to kill them.
If everyone curses the heroes of the village then the griefers will rein supreme
these are simple rules griefer
-If you are good, Never stab a person that has no blood at his hands.
-Whenever you see something weird, report it to the village and ask for cursing.
-Whenever you witness a kill report it to the village and ask for cursing.
-Kill only the person that has been cursed or approval has been granted.
This way good persons will almost never be killed by mistake and all griefers will be cursed.
In the long run, griefers will be outnumbered so much that they will never be spawning again after their first kill.
Play for the long run, not the next 10 minutes.
if it was Jason he could speak to your own language no matter his relation to you.

. I dont think /die babies should count against the moms score at all or any death out of their control or influence.
Toxolotl /die bbs don't count towards gene score.
Currently I grind genes and I only go Up. yes, it is slow but I only go up. So as long as I try I get rewarded.

Whenever you dislike someone, did something harmful or anything DONT kill him.
Curse him and go straight to the others and tell them what he did.

Let them live, let them prove they are griefers again, and let them be cursed again.
Ta banas got around 10 curses from killing our sheep twice.
We didn't kill her this life but we killed her for a week.
Don't involve yourself in mass killing if you don't know what happened.
Ether take your female child and go live from wild berries until this ends,
Or try to learn about the incident and again Cursing is the answer, not killing.

But most important. differentiate the peeps from 11 to 20 OR put a sign between the 10th and 11th peep so people see that something is going on. Instead of normal Squares, peeps could look like a belly D
the early game will go super hard adults will be with children stomachs, any action that requires traveling will be extra risky. People without zoom will die in masses. In the end, we will just eat mutton pies and berries from bowls as we already do.
Just deep this idea, go to the other one. Don't nerf low foods, baff the big ones.

This is not meant for beginners and might feel complicated, but eh here you have it.
I like where this is going. Efficiency is rewarded, There is a reward if you hit a goal, and balance this over player population.
the Earthquake in a Post Rift era would mean that Old cities could be rehabilitated and The ever world expansion will be mitigated.
Earthquake mechanic: It will have a countdown that it will start ticking as soon as a bell tower is done. After the earthquake, the bell tower goes to ruins and has to be being built for the countdown to start ticking again.
This will make sure that resources replenishment not only happens from time to time but We will actively trigger it.
Earthquake could also have a range around the bell tower. so it's not the whole server.
Quest Mini game:
Apocalypse towers could let the countdown ticking but prevent the earthquakes to trigger, So as soon as we manage to demolish the apocalypse tower ( make it destructible) and the countdown has reached 0 already, An earthquake would happen

Let us understand the facts and the problems first before we seek solutions.
What is the purpose to live? I just live to farm genes these days, others might live to craft, others to fix cities, other to genocide, grief or troll, others for personal projects.
I like the idea, but needs rebalancing, group up some tools and changes to work properly. For example in a game with luck of signs, houses, stores and job clothes.
I would love it if we could attach our Profession's main tool to our backpacks to show our Expertise and we can ask people if we need something from them.

Would it be possible to get a notification when a Gene member comes to life?
Problem: Being a male makes it somewhat difficult to keep up with the new members of the family.
Colored Names are the best tool to spot them but knowing that you have a new member just born would be nice as well.
Some members come and die from starvation before you noticed.
Also, could we get a search on names or Gene members in general? Something that would make it easier to find them.
I am only interested in the Family members that affect my genes. ( yum zoom effect maybe? )

ok but, Does Anyone know the priorities of these rules, which rule overwrites the others?
1st priority: All BBs go to the wakest family until the total number of females > the min number of females.
( I haven't seen this be the 1st priority , I get born to the biggest family a lot.)
2nd priority: Area ban?
3rd priority: Lineage ban?
4th priority: internal clock?
5th priority: Yum?
6th priority: Temperature?
7th priority: do we have anything else?

Amanda of the Skyler family ( don't remember exactly the surname) chose to build gates and she didn't share ownership with other families, She didn't even have share with her own family. I talked to her and responded with the "I opened the gate"... -_-

Is there some sort of lore within the game I'm missing? What makes you think its post-apocolyptic?
I think the easiest solution is to require some sort of monument to advance to steel. Maybe a huge furnace that requires a shitton of time and resorces put into it.
