Desert farming has been a thing for a while now, but the best way to work the farm is naked, and your still on the hot side of the spectrum.

I think the straw hat, and reed skirt should REDUCE heat.

I own a floppy straw hat, and i wear it to keep the sun off my head in the summer.

Just a thought

^^^ seriously dont gripe wood griefing is a serious concern, educating people of it on forums can make people more aware of the fact its happening so they can help stop it.

Im on the sakra keto diet are you?

Hard and soft cheeses. What about washing and salting the rind regularly? Ewe and goat cheeses should be a thing and butter too. By the way, where are my baguette and my red wine!?

OK, just kidding (moving cheeses from biome to biome for different results is too specific but awesome as an idea, though). Not quite sure about what I would want. More complexity indeed, but socialization means too.

I want alcohol! I pretty much only play when im drunk so why not be drunk in game too?

Hi Uncle Gus,

Could you help me get in contact with Jason?
I did email him - but hoping that a moderator might help expedite.

I would appreciate any of your efforts.
Perhaps you know of a way for me to adjust my own email associated with my account?

Regards,
PCpancake

Seconded i think stew should be more versatile.

But i do miss the days of big towns, roads, i even remember trading a cart of pies with another town for a cart of backpacks

Pein, how do you clamp the keyboard?  (sorry for the noobish question.)

JonySky, I do see your point about keeping things simple so we don't end up playing alone... My concern is that we might end up playing alone because of malicious gluttony... I just want to stop the carrot sponges from starving out the productive players.  The percentage of starving players may decrease if we could see carrot sponges and deal with them accordingly.

Or, it might end up like you said where it just over-complicates things for new players?  Case in point, I thought decay (before it was implemented) would be fantastic!  I was 100% for it.  Then it came out in an update and everyone threw a fit because it wasn't balanced yet.  I haven't played in a while but I think you can recycle broken iron tools now... can someone confirm?

Also, many times I've died from lag and not from starvation.  The game still logs starvation as a cause of death for many, but I know I'm not the only one experiencing this anomaly.

You can recycle now at a 2:1 ratio broken steel tool:steel bar

Works like:
Broken steel tool+broken steel tool= scrap steel
Scrap steel+bowl+plate= unforged crucible

#371 Re: Main Forum » Let all sons starve? » 2018-07-27 20:05:49

Sons can be very useful. I used to be in the abandon all boys group, but unless food is super scarce a few boys will be a great asset to the town.

But if you have a lazy player as a boy they are 100%useless and should be killed.  At least lazy girls can have/take care of kids..

its odd how ohol echoes the "nature" of humanity. not just of the violence, but also how "the oppressed" stick together

i just learned of the stranded women of clipperton. the tldr of that is it was a small colony that was stranded without supplies and all the men died out, leaving only a few women and children. after a storm the estranged lighthouse keeper of the island came out, gathered all the weapons, and declared himself king. he was a tyrant and prone to violence.

this story reminded me a lot of the early days of ohol tyranny, when people would make crowns, get a knife, and declare themself ruler. its strange how people tend to gravitate towards violence with power

im not saying that the suffering of real people is equivalent to an hour of rp, but it really reveals a lot about what we think of when we claim the title of "king"

just a small thought for the night. goodnight all

I kill monarchs... lazyness is punishable by death, and if all you do is ride around on a horse and spout orders im gonna kill you.

This is a team game, if everyone works everything turns out great. Theres not a need for a management role.

Its just like if i see someone cooking 10 bowls of salt water when we only have 4 cabbage, and no kraut board.

Or someone just lounging around sponging food all their life "Rping"

#373 Re: Main Forum » how to make snake barrier » 2018-07-27 18:52:17

A bear in town is a great idiot culling device. When in a large overpopulated town i have assembled 3 arrows, and a bow brought a bear back, and let it kill all the idiots before killing the bear and getting back to work.

Civs are usually much healthier afterwards,  because only the smart people are left...

Ither they were smart enough to dodge the bear, or stand on an item, but after about 2 minutes the town has been clensed of sponges, and is super efficient
