Maybe bring back apocalypse, but it would happen in 1-3 hours. Which will be homemarked as second (not on actual homemarker), with bright red numbers and arrow.
It would give players a pvp conquest to either protect or defend the monument while it refines the ultimate doom. Since towns very often spawn near each other. It would be easier for other players to come to the area and try to fight off the evildoers. With horse or horsecart it would be efficient way to reach the goal. By deactivating the players must have a bow and arrow and kill the horse and smash the golden pellets that are stuck on monument with a hammer about 3 times for each. When found victorious, winning group may either repair or loot the remaining items from the monument, but gold pellets would need to be resmelt and horse retamed.
THAT WOULD BE SO COOL! If the apocalypse can be prevented but with enough difficulty to keep it exciting! Most will try to make the journey to protect EVERYTHING.
THERE WILLL BE WAR!

One thing that should always remain the same is the ONE hour one life. In a game where every situation is random and anything can change, at least you know you have ONE hour to do stuff. Not one hour sometimes if I don't keep a good a yum bonus.
Oh well. That's just my point of view

A railway connecting resources that is used. I know somewhat impractical but still. It would a be a step to automation.

I know the apocolypse however only from reading the forums and watching from afar, I was waiting till the right moment to begin playing

I too was of unnamed family. I was a dude called Sol and mainly ferried goods to and from the main city to the smaller one up the road.

Did you move into se condary town? Was there trade? Did the bear come?
To those who weren't in the imura/nameless family basically there was one big town with a smaller one up a long road...I was Sun/Sol and me and Fuad encouraged people to cone yo secondary village.
Unfortunately I had to leave (IRL) so I don't think I got to thank Yasmin for burying me..

3 generations. Not very good in a normal situation but we were following a bell only 5k away! I suspect my granddaughter was new as she never said f and ate my daughters dug carrot...we were living off the land and having children was a bit of a hindrance.
For the first time we got separated, and hoping she remembered to keep going I kept running.
Unfortunatly she died of starvation.

I never suicide. I admit livimg in a town can be a bit dull, especially when no one knows you and all jobs are taken. However if no one Cares about you make them! Ask a kid to be your best friend, go around together gathering recourses it's much more fun in a group.
I do prefer smaller towns but I would never suicide to play in one

I'm pretty sure no leisure activities will ever come which is a good thing. You should constantly be working/keeping civilisation going. I think any items that cone into the game have a purpose

Edit: can I also just say that one of the least thanked job is being a wetnurse in a city, with 10 babies screaming but staying In the same place. That job needs some organization.

I lived In that city! For a short time I was a librarian preaching the words to any kid who would listen. I told a story to a ginger woman who couldn't move, and would have enjoyed to continue but I had a IRL situation.
