It's shame xenophobia has become such a norm. Killers are just as likely to be from your own family as another, especially with the dynamics around war swords the way they are right now. If the families are at war adjust accordingly of course.

not true.
I can be sure that my newer family members are not in my curse list, I can't be sure about foreigners as well though.

I was Callie Spelman, born in a fenced advanced town.
I was was informed by my daughter that an eve sneaked into our town.
I run after her at the start with a bow,  we had killed an unrelated armed griefer before that caused many problems so I was suspicious.
She was Eve Whistler. She was unarmed though and ran away so I store all the arrows of our town in bp to make sure she won't equip them.
I then run at her unarmed trying to talk to her. No point we had pen and paper but no rubber.
She said a ??? and continued to run all over.
I zoomed out and watched her from a distance while having a knife in bp.
she started to collect berries in a bowl and put a carrot in it then she started to collect berries again.
I was talking with the others really anxious about the Eves.
yes, Eves, a lot more people were wandering outside of our town and Eve whistler wanted to open the door to them.
I was the Eldest in family and said to them Let the Whistler live, let her have bbs and kill her if she tries something.
All said ok GM and I died a minute after.

After 400 years I am happy to see that my decision worked fine and both families coexist smile

What happened to the other Eves btw, did they also got in?

paper can be erased with a rubber ball (you can use it to communicate)
fences can be removed with elder's approval
backpacks don't decay
carnitas are eatable
Pine wood doesn't cost food
Newcomen can be removed
bear caves have 24h cooldown

War sword now has max pickup age of 55
you are slower when you try to Solo kill
the killing has 3 second casting time
attacking has a direction notification and sound

Low member families give birth to females only

Threshed wheat decays in 30 minutes

all liquid buckets are containable ( latex)

How do you feel about the game BTW what do you like and what you dont

One idea that comes to mind is a "pass through" box that can be built on a fence.  A container that can be accessed from both sides of the fence.

YES PLZ!

FENCE+ board + rope = fenced Box
fenced Box  +saw= slotted box ...etc

(a fenced box could be removed with Shaft but the fence should remain)

#456 Re: Main Forum » Is 63 hours long enough for you? » 2019-09-27 17:49:30

if internal griefing persist to be the reason families end you could increase cursing days duration OR
add a new mechanic, so people share their cursing lists. By saying BLESS YOU to a player, you curse one player of his list.
Meaning this the People that are approved will have their cursing effect buffed and their judgment could be used to protect others.

ps: Bless uses one curse token

Why not just let engines get removed from wells too?

Jason maybe removal needs an elder approval?
I mean a well engine as you said is the most vital thing for the village, only elders can decide whenever one can be removed to be used elsewhere.

Exploring the rift for leftover engines will be a thing and then co-operation will need to extract them.

#458 Re: Main Forum » Fix to rare ressources » 2019-09-27 10:51:10

maybe adding a vein of these items instead of just making them more common would be nice too.

But then they would just steal the engine before you can put it on a well...

that's also good if happens cause will teach people to do the efficient thing and go for oil first before making an engine.

stealing btw is not so bad if he cants render it useless.

#460 Re: Main Forum » Engine Compromise » 2019-09-27 07:24:16

That is Very nice proposal Pein! Jason do that as well plz!

That way we will have time to actively counter griefing as well.

#461 Re: Main Forum » A whoops on the curse radius » 2019-09-27 07:08:48

Has any of the new cursing systems gone live?

I watch changes on GitHub but don't they need an update to be implemented in game?

#462 Re: Main Forum » Why is no one talking about... » 2019-09-26 07:17:01

To talk about arcs with names, they have to differentiate visually and clearly from one another
And of course, to talk about something has to last long enough or be rare to remember it

I currently remember the too many babies arc, the 7 days arc, and I have a fussy memory of the first family arc BUT no names.
the name has to be on forum and game menu

give people something to talk about specifically for the current arc. The map is somewhat unique so it would be a nice subject.
Like, give them the map with its arc name. so people can discuss projects on the current arc.

maybe also inform the player where he died on the map so he accumulates map awareness.

#463 Re: Main Forum » Curse system Flaw twins » 2019-09-26 07:07:33

having an indicator on their name for which players are twins would be nice by the way

#464 Re: Main Forum » A whoops on the curse radius » 2019-09-26 06:58:00

Jason, what's the range of a curse by name? can I curse someone 200 tiles away?

if yes you might need to fix that so griefers don't co-op via discord to mass curse a random person
and they have to be actually there.

#465 Re: Main Forum » A whoops on the curse radius » 2019-09-25 18:09:07

if griefers seem to cause problems just reduce the curse list cap or the multiplier.
But I don't think they will be a problem. they like to harm people and see their agony. sending people to DK isnt so rewarding.

Jason , whats the range of a curse by name? can I curse someone 200 tiles away?

#466 Re: Main Forum » A whoops on the curse radius » 2019-09-25 17:42:53

BTW  the most murderous region of earth has a Daily murder rate of 0.00014% tongue  I would be happy if Ohol reaches a daily rate of 1% tongue

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_Brazil

PS: I like the Idea of multiplier

you cant screw yourself by cursing.
whenever you curse someone he can't be born to you or near you BUT you can be born to him.

#469 Re: Main Forum » A few ideas for PvP: Recently/fully injured, alarms and retaliations » 2019-09-23 10:44:51

This would be a game-changer if medics cant heal themselves!

Attacking an armed person would be dangerous as it has to be.

#470 Re: Main Forum » The woes of auto-aim. » 2019-09-23 09:45:11

So bow range is 10 tiles while horizontal view range is 5 tiles.
The vertical view range is 3. Is killing range on the vertical axis also 10 though?

#471 Re: Main Forum » I hate when I'm tired at the start of an arc. » 2019-09-23 09:12:12

Morti you made the best towns I have ever lived in and the road project was one of the greatest ideas.
Thank you.  Hope to see your work on the next arc after you take a rest on this one.

#472 Re: News » Update: End Trigger » 2019-09-22 22:59:17

Sorry But carnitas are the 2nd most efficient food on my end, surpassed only by milk.

They consume only 1 corn to produce 48 units of food
Their problem is the vast amount of storage/space needed to produce them in quantity.

Given the values you have for berry bushes (starting from the languishing state), shouldn't the values listed next to soil and water also be 1 for both from carrots to squash for consistency of starting point (starting from hardened row, which is analogous to languishing berry bush)?

Oh crap, you are right!
http://prntscr.com/p5lp3u

By the way people milk is the most efficient food, even if you only take 2 pips from it every time you eat it!

See ya I am gonna make a cow pen.
