Hi,

I joined the server before, found the camp and helped you making clothes. But now, every time I join, I'm at a different spot and there's no way to find the camp.

Any clue?

Because the server was empty there is nobody at the camp. You spawned as an eve.

Sign out then back in. Im there now.

I was going to return the settings to normal, but I see arguments going both ways. So I have decided to scale hunger back to 1/2 of normal.

I downed the server while it was empty to make an adjustment. Its back live again.

well, i could be a mod

also, do you realize that clothes make your hunger rate go down? you only need to eat once in 5 mins if you have a full set of rabbit fur clothes, the 1/3 rate of hunger would be overkill

I just timed it. 8 minuets will take you from full hunger down to 3 bars.

Hello, I am Fox. I heard about this game from a YouTube video. Lived a couple lives and decided I wanted my own server. This is what I came up with.

settings/customServerAddress.ini to contain: our-one-life.com

our-one-life.com

settings/useCustomServer.ini to contain: 1

1

Right now the only modification is that food depletion is 1/3 of the original. Future improvement will be implementing a password, griefer defence research, longer life span. I would also like to moderate this server. I am looking for volunteer moderators. I anyone who is considered would have to have support from the community. All in all I want to build this server up with dedicated people who respect the game and want the community to prosper.

As of right now the server is open to anyone who wishes to join. Based on the behavior of those who are on will decide on how soon I set a password. Come play and lets all have fun.

Ok, I think I got it figured out. The browser test returned the proper response. I forgot to make an exception on the firewall of the os running the vm. Even though the test works I can’t test it with the client from my own ip due to my isp. I’ll have to wait till I get to work tonight and use the wifi there. If it works I’ll make it public tomorrow.

I went back and checked everything and made some changes. Now when I check from browser I get this:

The connection to https://mysite:8005 was interrupted while the page was loading.

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

But now my terminal acknowledges the connection.
When I try the same test on another port (I know to work). I get this:

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at https://mysite.com:1234.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

How can I be getting 2 different responses if the server is verifying that the connection is getting through.

I spent the last few days setting up and de-bugging a new server. It works flawlessly when I put my IP address into "customserveraddress". It works with both internal and external IPs. The only problem I have is when I try to use my domain, that already points to this server, it won't connect.

Things Ive done already:
- setup and configured OHOL files and directories.
- forwarded port 8005
- verified port is open
- logged in with separate machine via direct IP. (local and external)
- tested domain with pre-existing minecraft server (same machine different VM)
- tried to login to OHOL via URL (stuck on "waiting to be born)(no response from terminal feed)

Any help is appreciated.
I want to make this server public, but only if I can get the URL working.
