very frustrating life. The engine of the white fam got stolen. I retrieved them an engine and some kerosine. with the help of a gatekeeper I stored it inside the gate. They got two more engines after that and more kerosine. I got latex for them and more palm kernels.

I want to do veteran stuff. Make engines, get oil. But it feels so pointless because you are working on the long term survival of the town and that just doesn't work out. The engines get destroyed, the oil hidden, wasted. This is why I stay away from veteran stuff. I still get tempted to do it sometimes, but most of the time it is just frustrating.

You and I have similar philosophies when it comes to our current families. At first I would become attached to a specific family and had no desire to play with others. Now it’s all for the fam or bust. I like how you “retrieved” 3 engines. Noice.

Haven’t played at all since the noob apocalypse, been gettin my factorio on till we can sustain a civ past frantically looking for a berry Bush. My meme score thanks me

I also hope that that sport car is a skin for the current car (I never liked the look of it), we have more important stuff on the list, but since he made the truck, Better finishing the car so they won't look so different.

First of all thanks I really try to be impartial to Jason because he made the game, and look at his dedication he released a content update after he was stuck because of the wildfires. Great dude.

On the car I sooooo hope that the sport car is like adding metal plates to the current car to make it faster(or slower) and hold no items (we don’t use sport cars to transport goods... I think) but it would definitely be awesome. I’m seeing the sports car as a status commodity though. Just kinda like “mmmyyy town has a sport car because we have sooo many resources” (please read in a mucky British accent) but who knows the community wil decidet

No, it's not Jason's game.  He didn't purchase anything and doesn't have rights over it.  He has rights over his servers, and that's it.

Also, you're the paying customer.  Of course you can say how you think it should go.  Quit disempowering yourself by saying that you can't speak your mind.

hi spoon ive heard much about you

Maybe a copper steel alloy? Electrum steel? Zinc steel? Zinc coated steel!! So many possibilities

Just a thread to tell stories. Ive noticed not many people post their stories here so a little push is here. Aight now.

While I didn’t play today this will be my story of yesterday.

Logging in as a crying feeble baby to a jungle fam (can never remember my family names) my mother cradled me in her arms... and let my brother starve. Now I don’t know if they’re ere trying to start a cult or maybe she had lag but I swear she nearly let everyone of her babies die because she didn’t take care of them. Yeah. By the time I was 3 I had seen many deaths. Several on account of my mother. (Bless you ma) I sauntered out of the  nursery that had been my home since birth to survey the world.

This civ was fairly new, they had a Newcomen water pump and a small stockpile of rubber. The single building being the nursery. Everything was crammed together all colliding at the well where many brought life giving water from the depths. A place for a experienced player to rein.

Immediately I saw that the town had no trees for firewood or long branches so I figured I would plant some trees from 3 to 16 I planted trees 14 maple trees and 14 poplar trees. After planting my trees I continued to look outward and seeing that the civ had not yet expanded far beyond the well I could see nature within our borders. That was unacceptable. With a axe, a shovel, and a yum chain to bet on I took up every pieces of nature I could see within my zoom. Trees, berry bushes, small plants, children, bones, and animals felt my wrath as I cleared the land for my family. (The kids were ok btw) by the time I was done I was 30, and every child I had were /dieing. At least my
Genes wouldn’t take a big hit.

About that time a select few people took it upon themselves to move the smithy so that we could have more space to expand. Helping them I was given the job of smith along with an elderly lady who I swear was a Jedi at smithing. Even with my experience I felt like a child watching her take the metal and turn it into every imaginable item. If you are on the forums I wish to meet you. Anyhow she made like 30 baskets of charcoal and all the tools one could need in the span of 15 minutes or so and died. Me and a cousin opted to finish the engine Whose parts lay deserted among the smithy area. As we came to the last parts to finish he was called to do some other pressing matter somewhere else in the village. In the random chores and task I had accomplished in my life I did not have enough tool slots to finish. I went to the trees.

Earlier on I had tasked a girl with watering my trees so that I could smith. She had also been called to the pressing matter( something to do with pies I think) and had not finished watering the trees. I finished my trees and sat back to take stock of my situation. I had no more tool slots. I had planted trees , helped smith, and farmed a little. I was content with where the town had been taken during my 60 minutes in it and spent my last moments in the nursery where I had come into the world I would also go out. I died at 60 with a yum chain of 90 giving my clothes to my nieces and nephews.

Ty for reading hope other post their stories here too

Ps about 55 there was a lady telling her kid about a depressed rabbit family that got strangled by a snare... also how the heck do you post pics??? I can’t figure it out.

In the recent addition of the delivery truck (yay) Jason added the steel plates. This coupled with the steel beams are looking to have some amazing uses in future updates. One example I can see these items being used for is industrial refinement of oil and steel/iron. On a different thread I played around with the idea of a steel bucket. While this itself has many applications the main thought I had was using it to carry molten metal. Just imagine. You take your wooden tying that are immune to flame and grab the metal bucket full of molten steel. Bowl it out to create 10 steel. Or to be simpler 12 steel. It could be like baking a turkey. Put it into the furnace and you can’t craft anything else while it *bakes* I dunno just an idea.

anyone else have any ideas?

#40 Re: Main Forum » The Racing Car - Design » 2020-09-15 12:25:32

The link is described as a sport car but I don’t know what all the numbers are... it Kinda looks like a sprite id? It’s some sort of key... I only know c++ never seen this anywhere. And why the heck is it nearly 18 thousand - 1.8 million lines long???? But I did skip to the end sooo. Tbh I think adding the sports car would be a bad idea. This would make the current *car* obsolete because the delivery truck Is allready very easy to make the sports car(unless it upgrade the current car) will just make it unused content. More tech based updates pls.

Of course it’s Jason’s game and we can’t tell him how to run it. I don’t wanna be a mini spoon

If your looking for an rpg game where you press xyz buttons and get a combo action that’s a no. This game is more about community than technique. Plus it would take away from the community the game is meant to be a add two things together crafting game not a  multilevel fruit punching game. Craft.

Plus it would make the learning curve hecka Harder

If we have an easier way to create advanced tech (like a diesel powered workbench) then there will be less need to lock it up.

you and me my friend, you and me have the same mind

#45 Re: Main Forum » A new farm meta » 2020-09-13 15:11:12

All your points are valid. However. There is no point in saying berries are trash(which they are) when they are such a important part of the game. We can’t feed sheep without berries. No sheep no compost, no compost no long lasting civ. While berries may suck we still need them and unfortunately have to take the time and soil loss.

Cogito wrote:

I *hate* berries as part of the sprinkler system, as they restrict usage of the plough. Potentially you could have one side as berries and the other as crops - this would certainly reduce water used for berries.

Perhaps there is an end game where you have a lot of sprinklers built, and can devote a section to berries. They certainly use a lot of water if you are trying to make a lot of mash. They just seem so slow.

I was thinking 18 long rows For a farm with a single row of berries (that’s 2 3x3 plots which is enough for any civ.) that could be easy to implement.

#47 Re: Main Forum » The Delivery Truck » 2020-09-12 17:29:06

I also see many many many uses for the sheet metal. Like armor! (Ahem no) or maybe metal pail? This could lead into mass smelting? For example you need to take the metal out of the steel pail which is harvested from a industrial smelter? So many possibilities

#48 Re: Main Forum » The Delivery Truck » 2020-09-12 17:19:40

Wait dumb it’s getting added... I will be the milk man

I also think it will be useful for collecting and delivering produce from a sprinkler farm. Load all the vegies into baskets (made from threshed what sheaves) and load those into the truck. One trip to clear 63 veggies back to the kitchen is very attractive, compared to 3 trips with a hand cart with tires, or 7 with a normal hand cart.

I hope we see lots of trucks running around, and more tech like it.

I like the way you think my friend... question is this being added or is it just an idea?

I mean, if the Newcomen is consuming too much water, the obvious solution is to make it consume less, not add a whole separate recipe that does the same thing but cheaper.
