Roasting pork in oven's a good idea too. And also, more ways to kill carnitas.

To me it's not balanced that civs get stable supplies of clothing and soil at the same time, and it's terrible that even boars cannot be eaten unless you get lime, as Destiny said.

That's a good idea. Problem is, sheep are fuzzy and cute. Sheep don't kill me on impact. If pigs are the dirt bottleneck, they can't kill me on impact. Can we just have human babies make poos if they're wearing pants? Or make a wool diaper? Then we can harness humanity!

And the limed corn thing is super niche, I agree. I'd rather make walls with my limestone than make horribly inefficient food.

I have a big problem with pigs. But first, a story.

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Etham Exon. He loved organizing things. He would make compost and pies and everything was going okay.

Just one problem: the immense amount of PIGS.

The pigpen had collapsed, as it was made of property walls, and out spilled so many pigs. You couldn't swap an item on the ground for the amount of pigs. It was impossible to eat, sleep, work, or play. So Etham put and end to it by killing every pig within an everywhere radius. (Even an everywhere radius was too big... I missed two at the extreme southern border.)

As everyone starved to death for not being able to pick berries for dear life, Etham carted nothing but pig remains to the southern graveyard. At a glancem the graveyard seemed normal. But the more south you got, the more PORK there was until  an entire biome could have been laid with pork.

Etham died after going crazy.

---

So the problem here is that pigs have no use. We could have had, what, a little army of dogs to take their place? Pork right now is very underpowered, and this leads to griefing with an animal that should be super useful, like pigs are IRL.

So recipe time:

Raw pork + knife = bacon strips
(Optional) Bacon strips + salt = salted bacon strips
(salted?) Bacon strips + hot flat rock = cooked bacon

Raw pork + pie crust = Raw pork pot pie

Bowl of raw pork + knife = bowl of cubed pork
Cubed pork + clay pot = crock of cubed pork, bowl in hand
Chopped onion + crock of cubed pork = crock of onion and pork
Corn kernels = crock of onion and pork = crock of dry pork stew
Crock of dry pork stew + bowl of water = crock of raw pork stew
Crock of raw pork stew + hot coals = crock of cooking pork stew
Crock of cooking pork stew + time = pork stew
pork stew + bowl = bowl of pork stew

Bowl of cubed pork + skewer = skewered pork
Skewered pork + hot coals = cooked skewered pork

Come up with ideas to make pigs worth it!

I was born in the Melody town during a time of relative stability. I was shaping up to be the only fertile lady, but then more were born. I baked turkeys and bread for fun. I made a bunch of medical supplies for the town and lived through a bear attack. Everything was going okay. That changed when I walked into the berry farm the first time.

The bakery water was imported by a nice guy, my uncle I belive, but the berry farm was dry and dying. I quickly got dirt on the bushes and took a cart full of buckets, and put a bowl in my bag. I went out of town, scouting the area for water.
During this time, I had a son. I called him Walker, after a song I was listening to. I brought him back to town, but I couldn't care for him and had to leave him in the now-green berry fields.

A VERY long time later, I had twins. I at first didn't want to take the twin risk, but someone fed them both and whisked them away. I barely even met them. I sighed and continued my water hauling work. I spent until I was very old doing this, as the other old people talked about hope and eventually died. I took down their sign saying "hope" at one point, trying to make a hint, but they wouldn't listen.

When I was very, very old, I saw my daughters.
They were named Cutter and Linda. Linda was wearing all rabbit, I belive, and Cutter wool and colored cloth. I found them holding my grandchildren around the cistern I filled. I ran over to them, but the one with colored cloth ran off.

"I'm sorry..."
"Hm?" Linda woke up from her AFK disease.
"I never got to meet you... I cared for you, I did."
"It's ok, mom."
"Did I ever tell you about your brother's name?"
"No"
"I named him Walk Off The Earth, or Walker. A very, very distant relative told me about a song, and I named my son after it."
"Oh, cool... See ya, Mom."

It was only with my dying moment I saw my other daughter, who had dissapeared, with red writing and an unknown wound. sad Children, what happened to you?

And son, I enjoyed your last words. "Your pants are old."

Can we have the Good Eating 3 update? Fruit trees, BALANCED fruit recipes, and fixed salsa? And maybe other stew types?

By a road by the rabbitlands. My bad.

Yes, the biomelock feature is rather useful. Problem was, the whole town except for a strip of rabbitlands at the south border was green. So losing your horsie-wagon was a problem in our big town,

You came to my town, I think, when I was busy not paying my child support. Some girl brought 4 bags and warswords to town, then left right after. Thanks.

I was born into the Dark family and had a really weird time. Let me explain.

When I was young I baked pies with bunnies and mutton. I made sheep jerky for fun and kept my dumb farming family alive. I turned 8 and started making bread.
I met this girl, Burak, and gave her one of my two matching shoes. She said "we are shoe siblings!" before she left. I think I saw her sometimes, but not a lot.

I made two loaves and chopped them up, and I had an idea. I took an old building by the bakery and made it my shop, spreading some ancient butter on my bread and trying to sell it for wheat. These two girls came and ate all my bread, and I had to abandon my pursuit.

I was wandering the berry field when I saw some traveler (thankfully one of the Darks) lose her horsey. I chased it with her an picked it up by a road in the rabbitlands. And I said:

"You better take this horse down the old town road
Or it'll ruuun till it can't no more"

She laughed, then left town. I don't think she came back, but her horse ran back through a big hole in the wall.

Soon after, the two ladies who busted my business ran to me, yelling "OI!" And I ran behind a maple, because they had knives. And they told me to... pay my child support?

"I'm not a father, ladies."
"Yeah, you are. We ate your bread."
"That doesn't mean I'm the father."
"You did something to the butter."
"And did you shove it up your own after???"
"Yes"
"Oh my maple."

I spent the rest of my life gathering berries in a bowl to eat behind my tree, as slowly another buyer of my bread and my niece started badgering me. My niece asked my leaderboard name, and I told her "Raidan Allcock." She asked my score and then went behind my tree and spammed the tree because of my super high 18 points (the rift thing tanked my score.)

My last years I was cursed by Alexi Dark, the orginal one to eat my breads, and I yelled this:

"I WILL NOT PAY CHILD SUPPORT"

---

Anyway, rift update was as bad as the server stress test in the beginning, but overall I think it's gotten better now. I like how we need to property fence our towns to keep randos from coming in with a sword.

Time and time again we've had absolute madness because big changes made so many features exploitable, cursing should just be a way to deal with the insanity

Donkeys spawn in the Hell Cell with everyone else after the Eve window closes. Having a working curse system won't matter if they just pop in with everyone else. Back to square one we goooo.

Oh, donkeys spawn in with other people now? That would explain my white text brother, thought it was a bug.

#41 Re: Main Forum » Too easy now » 2019-07-27 04:04:33

Don't worry, Jason. I had one dysfunctional family take Uncle as a forced organ donor. I made kid mine out a whole mountain, literally. Wifey was eaten by a thrumbo and Husbando got killed by his alcoholic five year old.

At least I'm not making other humans suffer though that.

Anyway, congratulations Jason. Have fun in space. Remember to breathe.
Oh, and I found the multiplayer Rimworld. Yay, wifey murder for the whole family!

Me and my friends once had to juggle this.

-Someone's having a kid
-Their husband's on a mental break and shot their father-in-law in the head
-Shot father-in-law needs help
-Grandma isn't exactly superhuman and can only do 1 thing at a time

It required all of us to think out a plan while the "Colonist Needs Saving" letters rolled in. Team effort required.
And father-in-law still died tongue

Edit:

Now I can resurrect Father-In-Law with my friends. Yay.

Quality, not quantity. 1 good game > 19 wife murder simulators.

But as long as you're happy, go on, Jason. The money's already in your pocket. hmm

Now excuse me while I go save my colony from starvation and art about squids.

Fifteen's fine right now because the sheer amount of players in a 500 square eats all the food in two seconds. I've seen one person die at 12, and that was the oldest non-eve person I've seen so far. Help.

#49 Re: Main Forum » Rifts » 2019-07-26 01:34:48

THERE'S MONKEYS AND FISH FLYING EVERYWHERE. Eves spawn and die and I could once see all new models PLUS one from every race in the same screen. It's nearly as bad as the server stress test hell. There's no food left. And no babies make it to any age.

Oh please Jason save us.

I was genuinely spooked when I saw one the first time.
I think I was one of the first to ever see one, I saw it just before my Eve mom did and she was the first Eve after the update. I lost her and starved soon after following the Rift.

So why are these things in our world? What use are they? Is this the implement of the "Box E'm In" update?
