Didn't spoonwood mention before that he has autism if I'm not mistaken? That does explain a lot. Many autistic people have problems with communication and think differently then people that don't have austim.

What we have an active moderator? Since when?
Am I in an alternative universe?
Or by accident in the two hours one life forum (if they have)?
Or did Jason suddenly activate GTP3 to act as moderator?
Or....
Confused, my view of the world crashed...
Omg, an active moderator......I'm gonna touch it. Poke poke.
I like the wooding flooring because you can see objects better on them then on pine flooring, but I agree that they are very wasteful. On the plus side, more trees get chopped, so there will also be more wood for the fire.
I think it's OK, once people learn how to eve they'll figure out the importance of securing iron for future generations. Making iron more plentiful would just further marginalize the mountain biome specialists
Have you done it since the biome band update? It's not about making iron more plentiful. It's about making more spot viable for habitation. Large parts of the band are useless because there isn't any good spot to settle down.
For veterans (minimum of 4 months?)
- Did you enter in the game during the H-moment during sales?
yes
- How did it go?
Still traumatised and entertained
- Was there something good/average/bad about it?
I like that it makes the game more challenging. I don't like that you don't have much time to teach because your constantly starving or pooping out bb's. You don't have much time for them because your trying hard to do all the tasks that need to be done, but nobody is doing. You're the cook, smith, farmer,... not much time to be the mom or the teacher.
- Did you teach new players the skill you were doing?
When it settles down a bit you get the chance to teach, mostly I only do that when they ask me to teach them (a bit to shy to force myself onto people). Sometimes I stop to tell someone how to do something when I see them do it wrong.
- Did you mention new players the onetech.com?
No. I forget a lot of things that I should mention to them. There is always something more that you should have told or explained. Most of the time I explain yum and that's it. Sometimes not even that because I'm to destracted with juggling kids, not starving and wathever else I'm doing.
It kinda pisses me off that you can hardly find a good spot to build your homebase. Most of your band is just a walkingsimulator with useless terain.
It happend two times since the band update that i was in a town that has no iron. So i set out to find a good spot to resettle the town and ofcourse there isn't any good spot nearby. If you find that beautiful spot with giant ass swamp with ponds and savannah then ofcourse there is no iron nearby. When you find ironsites, ofcourse there is no good welsite nearby or you only find one ironsite what isn't enough for the long term survival of a town.
The speciality races have it the worst because there giant speciality biomes reduce the chance of having any iron spots. I like the giant biomes. It feels more natural, but i don't like how hard they make it to get a good spot and how useless they are when there is no good spot nearby. I feel like the chance of finding a suitable homebase is out of balance with all the changes. Maybe that could be fixed by letting iron open up in the direct square around your wellsite with a max of four ironsites instead of only east to west. That would give more possible, viable locations for your homebase
Secondly. Sometimes your family did open up iron, but nobody knows where (maybe the one that did it got eaten by a boar). This is very anoying because you get no warning at all that this happend. There is no marker that points you in the direction of the well that opend up iron. I believe that should be there. A marker that points every member of the fam (and newborn member) in the direction of the wellsite that opened iron and that marker dissapears when they reach their wellsite. And a message that say when you have put all the rocks in place: 'your well opend up iron' or 'your well didn't open up iron'.
Because it is also very anoying that if your town doesn't have iron and you find a good spot, waste the time of putting rocks in place and then nothing happens. No iron opens up because somewhere there is a wellsite of your fam that opened iron, but nobody know where. That means your fam is dead.
Thirdly Jason, you need to Eve and try to find a good spot with a shitlode of kids on the backseat of your car constantly asking 'are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet'. You feel pressured to settle down, but it's so damn hard to find a good spot. So much time is wasted to find it. Some much distance is created this way between the diferent races. You need to understand that something has to change about this. You don't like a walking simulator, neither do I. You can do something about, I can't. Plz fix this.
ok griefer.
You can still remove them.
Thanks for the suggestions. I know rust. Will check out the rest.
If you are bored with playing OHOL, perhaps it is time to play something else for a while. It is okay to take a break when you get burnt out.
Come back when you have the urge to plant a really beautiful carrot patch or construct a diesel engine from scratch.
Still looking for a replacement.
Tried to kill the one that locked up a girl behind a gate. I followed her to another town, exiled her and tried to stab her. Didn't work ofcourse. What magical ritual for stabbing someone did I miss this time?
We also first tried to remove the gate with paper and signing it. Didn't work.
Eventually the bitch returned to fix the fence that was starting to brake down. Finally I could stab her. The locked up girl (now a woman and her daughter survived) finally set free.

I don't consider it lucky to have a bear army come to town. I also don't consider that exciting. I advise caution when talking about other people's emotions especially.
Then what is exciting. Planting berrie bushes again. Getting a mouflon again. Picking carrots again. Watching the town die out again. I'll be lucky not to drop dead from boredom. I rather kill myself before that happens.
I prefer a purge. No rules, no restrictions. One day of kill or be killed.

It's a game. I think meaning has to come from within, not from something external like a game. Maybe I don't quite understand you right though.
I'm talking about game lifes, not real life. Almost every life feels the same. It repetitive and a lot of times really boring. If you're lucky a bear army comes by to give you some exitement, but that's it. Building up the family home from start isn't fun anymore when it's seem to be all that you are doing every life. The fams don't last long most of the time. I don't even bother to learn their family names anymore. You can't even make ingame friends. The only people you recognise are the grievers you cursed. The rest is just a bunch of strangers that you have to playpretend that they are your family. I doesn't feel like family. No wonder we hardly communicate in game. It's pointless. You die and you will never know who that person will be in a next life unless you curse them. If you had fun with someone, you can not create more fun with that person. How sad is that.
I don't think any of the towns is able to survive a reasonable amount of time without the looting of dead towns. I wouldn't want to see the towns die even faster. It makes every life feel pointless. It's easy to say that it's one hour one life, but that's not really how it is. You return to that world and if you bother to explore then you'll find dead city after dead city. Nothing should last forever, but it should last long enough to be worth it.
Again, I apologize for this Spoonwood, while you may not consider me a friend, you are mine.
You can't really hate him, he is just to adorable and sweet. Love that guy......or girl.
I like the marriage idea.
I don't want to constantly come back to the game already expecting that the fam and town will be dead. It keeps me from creating anything because it doesn't even last for a few hours. It makes me want to flee the towns every life to work on my own project, like the snow castle. But the towns die so fast and the new ones are to far away to be able to go back to a personal project.
Race restrictions should be removed.
I don't know, but something is wrong and it needs to be fixed.
It just feels like a rat race going west too fast.
Made an eve shrine above the well of a white fam. Didn't have time to finish it. I hope someone will put a mother marking on the gravestone to protect it before someone takes it to make rabbit bait with it. Life is just to short and I have to go to work. Life is cruel.

The game takes place in the future, not the past.
History repeats itself. People are just to stupid to learn from the past.
Could it be possible to make rivers using this type of band generation?
Having water tiles (Blue tiles) spawn their own band creating a "river" while oceans and lakes are still not possible I think that using bands it should be feasable to make "rivers" which could have uses such as specialized transport, or fishing a lot of fishing
Besides the river thing I do think that white peoples should be a nomadic playstyle, because then whites become the traveling merchants of the word picking up supplies from villages and bringing them to other villages
And I really like the band idea, because it also allows for more biomes (more bands) to be added.... because before , in the ring, system you face the problem that every time you add a new biome all the rings will get smaller and smaller
Whites could have port towns. The rivers their speciality. They could be the ones that transport goods and people across the rivers in gradually more advanced ships. God, I'm starting to dream again.
Gingers can live in snow biome so can we have tribal hut (bamboo) buildings in jungle and sandstone buildings in desert?
I would like that more then having every fam living in the same way.
Can't the whites somehow become the trade race. With an actual trade system.
