yeah i just lost a city bc i was the only girl, and had five boys. well, technically three, as one had decided to retry to come back in the family as a girl, but just came back as another boy, and one had sids. i stood on an even tile, ate when i got hungry, and had clothes on the ready to give to any girl i had to spoil her and insist she stay. but i didnt have any. which sucks, bc that city just died, full of food, at least six stacks of iron on the ready, clothes everywhere... and just no girls.

Floofy the point of the game is that no one can truly know when a civ will fail and wash away. Or when a lineage is halted and withered. That's a huge factor to this game, you don't get to come in here and suggest new ideas based on how YOUR experience is and how YOU think it's unfair.

cheese and crackers, you dont have to be so rude. i cant even stand to read the rest of what youre saying because youre being so condescending in the first three sentences, let alone what else you've said in this topic. suggestions and ideas are a part of this game, i dont know why you dont think thats a thing or that people cant do just that because of how long theyve owned the game, because guess what..... it has an official suggestion reddit. that jason reads. to see what players might want, and consider what they say to improve the game so more people enjoy it. why is it such a big deal for you that someone proposed something like this? ive had the game for months, and i cant see why youre being so rude about this.

disregarding that and going with the original topic again... floofy, i think this is a great idea, though i worry about how it might affect eves that have to abandon kids before they can set up, and how it would fair during busy hours, when the last girl of a town might not get ANY kids, bc another town has other girls that are ranked higher until she's too old to feed a child until they can eat on their own. a suggestion i would make is maybe its best to rank it in that family. so its like, lets say there are four families active. one of them is picked at random, and then the scores are calculated to see who the baby goes to from the available females of that lineage. it would certainly help in cases like this line: http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … id=2174627, where delanee had 13 kids, gunnarr had seven, and between the two that died in birthing years, they had seven total. just as a way to keep things random to which family you're born into, but still give older women a chance to have more kids instead of the younger ones.

ive never...

*made a sign or antivenom.
*caught a horse or made a lasso.
*played as a twin/triplet/quad.
*killed a boar or raised pigs (and subsequently, never raised dogs) and the same with bison
*painted or plastered walls
*planted a tree
*dyed anything or made cards, dice, or the rubber balls
*messed with gold, I hate smithing too much to even try
*made a road, flooring, or a door.

and... i think that's it. everything else I've done, either by teaching myself with the tips on the bottom right (seriously, why don't people use those? it's how I learned how to make stew and kraut), or watched others do it and copied them when I needed it. I'm not sure how long I've been playing either, but hey, I'm doing pretty good on the list! unless.... im forgetting something...

please, for the love of god, no. I have had kids behind trees, been born behind tress, and had problems with not being unable to pick up babies, and the only way to fix it is to have the baby move/move myself if I'm the infant. this alone would cause waaaay more infant deaths, especially with eves who are trying to find a good spot, and lose their only girl behind a tree.

#30 Re: Main Forum » The Best Mother You Ever Had? » 2018-11-21 10:59:39

the best mom i ever had was actually the first mom i ever had in the game. i dont remember her name, but it was back before cows and paper and all that fun stuff. i was born as a boy and not too long after i stopped breastfeeding, she looked at me and my older brother, and told us she had no girls right as her hair went grey. she asked if there was anything we wanted to learn, and she taught me how to farm, which was very helpful considering it was my very first play outside of the tutorial. i appreciated her a lot, and i still do. i never did get the chance to thank her for everything she did for me. getting a kind mother who taught me right off the bat how to do things was so helpful, best mom ever.
