a multiplayer game of parenting and civilization building

So, I have a bit of a problem with the whole "if you pick the last something, it'll destroy it".
I'm talking about drying ponds, drying domestic berry bushes (which seem identical to wild ones), drying wells, whatever.
The thing it just adds stress, difficulty to an already difficult game, without actually making any sense at all. What's the point of this mechanic besides anoying the players, and feeding the trolls?
This is a philosophy of Jason; and frankly, we are pretty much his test subject on, if we are going to:
1. try surviving while destroying the land by eating wild carrots and empty those rabbit holes
2. keep trying building civilization despite all setback
3. if we are going to troll like no tomorrow
The game isn't that difficult if everyone knows what to do. Once a while an update may change the game mechanic and we just have to adapt to it.
Im also starting helping with the translation of the game to spanish.
If you are really capable of translating from English, then you should have no problem finding his email account.
Maybe they didn't say "yes", they said "y" means "why".

That's my point about public server.
However, Norggs' Chillout server is meant to teach new players about the game mechanic instead; Jason created server-side murder setting available because he of course foresee people hosting their own private server just to do a particular things, while leaving his public servers open to PvP because that's his philosophy about competing limited resources.
It's just the OP doesn't quite understand Jason's philosophy about competing limited resources, while keeping his game license free so server owners can create interesting things of their own.
Of course, the interesting part is that those murders are technically trolls and not really competing for resources.
how do u start playing the game ???
Can you be a bit more specific?
1. Do you have problem accessing server, e.g. "Waiting to be born" takes forever or "Server is full" in login screen?
2. Do you have problem finding your password or understanding your login information should be your registered email?
3. Do you have problem installing the game? I have seen forum Mac users having trouble installing the game but it seems a solution was provided.
4. Do you have trouble finding the installation files or are you sure that you have downloaded the correct installation files?

I think it needs a serious buff, agree with Omenpapa - at the very least any adjacent tile to a fire should have the same heat bonus...
when did you ever need to stand north over a fire to get the most heat?
It's not exactly north, it's technically roasting your baby per tile setup even thought object has the isometric view.
This isn't BS... this is what it should be in One Hour One Life; however, if this is what just happened in the Chillout server that we are trying to teach new players and look at new stuff, whoever did it is just sad.
Yup, someone is griefing... hope you look into this.... check my time stamp in this post.
it does but only at a reduced rate.
Hmmm It's weird that whenever I picked the Berry from Wild Berry Bush, the bush turns to wild carrot in first pick and then turns back to bush on second pick... does anyone know where I can clear the cache from my files?
It's all depend on luck, frankly. No matter how "good" you are playing, if Eve is stuck around rock or swarm terrain for too long to obtain a sharp rock and a basket, it's GG.
Sure, some people manage to survive by eating those wild carrots and to make things worst, not picking those seeds beforehand, resulting the end of the 4th+ generation. But some of us really prefer a sustainable approach instead.
I wish I can find a stat on how many times I died as Eve and as a baby.
I thought it would be a perfect balance of struggle and development with the changes to farm mechanics, if we had the eating bonus at three. Because new system already makes it more challenging to have a steady supply of food.
Game balancing is hard, especially there aren't enough empirical data from only around 200+ active users.
bump 4 port
I know you can hook up a keyboard and mouse to Xbox and PS4... so it's Xbox and PS4 exclusive?
XD
Oh and one time i was Born in a small town and two mothers stay next to me.
Mom 1: you cunt
Mom 2: die and starve bitchAMAZING
People are just mean, it happens before the update anyway. Remember all those A-holes that say boobies and trolls going on an eating frenzy? I would prefer this un-patched update stay over the weekend so we get more data and, IMFO, get rid of these silly people.
Rabbit bones will fade out eventually; however, if it's around the time of rabbit eating festival, I understand it's a chaos.
You are welcome to read the whole conversation for the reason not using Steam:

In summary, based on the current design of the game, it's harder for Jason to update and manage the game via Steam.
...this just seems like experienced players have essentially been reduced to (somewhat of) a newbie status. And it's going to take a while for people to figure out how to build a suitably robust safety network again. But we WILL reach a point where we have sustainable farms and other settlements, and people can get back to raising babies...
Exactly. While I am frustrated but I would prefer having more information and data before anything was done though... considered that we are going to have the Saturday trolls and Sunday newbies joining the game, I am more interested to see how badly we clueless human can damage the land.
I've checked it. This is the error I get every time:
"Order Not Accepted
We regret that your payment or order could not be accepted. There are many reasons why this might occur. We value your business and would like to help you complete this order. Please contact us for assistance."
That's too bad... hope you finally able to contact FastSpring and resolve the issue...
It's possible that Contact Information should be in line with the registered information of that type of payment.
For example, if my Credit Card's address is assigned to a PO Box but if I put my physical address instead, the payment may not go through.
...I guarantee most of the people whining about it being too hard are the same people that spawn in, rip out and eat all the carrots for fun and troll people as they starve because they think it is funny...
I am not sure how you can guarantee... but at least I know that if the basic survival is already very hard that there is no time to even make knifes, I would love it so much.
Based on my observation, after certain ticks (probably by certain amount of seconds), Bear targets your last clicked location. Therefore, it's important to keep changing moving direction once you see the bear.
As for wolf, I don't have much experience with it (not because I never die from wolf, but I died so many times starving as infant instead) but I would assume that it follows the same logic once the wolf decides to hunt. Whether if it specifically target children, I would say it's certainly in real life; but whether this behavior is really implemented in the game, I do not know. It's quite possible that there is really an inherit percentage of targeting children.
While I have not had a chance yet to try out the new update, from what I have read and with all the whining people are doing on the forums it seems like the update will be great! I love this game and have been looking for a game like this for a long time. I think that anything which makes the game more in depth and makes players really work to survive is amazing. This game should not be easy, that is what is great about it. I hope he does not decide to dumb it down for people. Let them whine and leave if they find the game too hard to survive in. It makes for a much better, less toxic community of players really trying to survive together. This is the point of the game exactly and I cannot wait to learn how to survive after this update!
Well, Jason was in Discord and someone said that he will tweak something about the food... I feel like it's just too early and not enough data to really address the issue though...
*Baby gets born*
Baby: "Mom, what's my job?"
Eve: "You stay there and starve."
Baby: "Oh..."
XD
When I read the title of this post, I thought that there are some RNG going on to some of our stats since the OP said "your roll".
I felt like the OP is just joking... and can't believe you actually replied him with anything.
To seriously answer the OP question (even though I seriously thought that he's joking), while the game can run on MacOS, this can't be run on iOS.
