Being married should increase fertility. And I think cousin marriages are fine (Not irl of course, just in game lol) If you marry a guy he would show up as husband to you, father to your kids, and grandpa to your grandkids. I don't think others need to have some new relation to him, it would complicate things. On the family tree after death the married people would have a text under them saying "Married to:(name)" It could link lineages together, not by killing but by loving
Yes! I haven't played as a male for months because it's so disconnected from everyone else. Marriage would be great!

i'm having the game freeze upon starting, it did it once last night and now three times today. I get born then everyone else stops and it disconnects. Some of the time when it reconnects i'm in the same game and my mom has kept me alive.
This happening to anyone else? It never happened to me before last night.
Same with me. Glad I'm not alone! Things are usually fine for about 10 seconds, and then everyone freezes and I eventually disconnect.

I don't want to be told what to do with my one hour life. I want to take my family, the village, and surrounding area into account and decide for myself.
The only exception is if others in the community give me a role, but this is based on their experience in the village. It is not some undisputable message from a higher power.
Again, I don't really think it fits in this game.
This problem can be easily solved by having a "I don't want to be randomly assigned to be an antagonist" checkbox.
(And it wouldn't make sense for the community to give someone a role that directly harms the community.)
It might also be a good idea to make the option to have an assigned role become available only after a certain number hours of having played the game (100 for example). These players generally know what they're doing by this point and are familiar with the various roles. Having one assigned to them might make things a bit less stale.

I definitely prefer murder griefing to people just running off with tools and other essentials. Chasing down/avoiding a murderer can be fun, having to constantly replace items is not, but I know most people seem to feel differently.
Personally, I liked having the visual cue of a griefer much more than having them just banished.

I'm going to try that this weekend. I've started suiciding a lot when I'm born as a boy, just because I like raising the kids a lot, but some of my best lives have been when I'm male, so I should probs give it a go more =P

I just though it was pretty funny. I was nowhere near where the baby was born both times. She sought me out! I was holding a bow though, maybe she just wanted someone to kill her for the drama.
I might have shot her the second time, I was about to die of old age anyways

Tbh it would've made a little more sense to me to lower the black-text/devil mark to 8, and then add a second tier punishment [donkey town] at 12. You get the best of both worlds that way- drama and panic at having a cursed child born to your town, and the worse griefers get exiled.

You have to look at the freckles. They turn from orange to brown when she gets old.
I had this issue earlier with my last kid.
