Medo, I don't know you, but after reading this entire discourse, I'm curious as to why you want to be unbanned from Discord so badly. Everybody on the server either dislikes or distrusts you, and would probably act toxically towards you (without mod intervention, of course, because Tarr and Slinky are clearly biased and unprofessional). Anyway, it doesn't make sense why you would want to return to such a toxic environment so badly. I don't think Jason has IP-banned you from OHOL, so you can still play the way you want.
There is only one reason why you'd want to return to the discord, and it'd be because you like the negative attention. I mean, I think that's the only reason anybody griefs -- for attention. That's probably why you even made this forum post. Surely, you know that you will not be unbanned from the discord. You said it yourself, the mods are corrupt and unyielding. So why even try? Because people will give you attention. Poor ru here has likely spent many minutes of his/her life writing well-thought-out responses to your sarcastic pleas for sympathy.
It seems like everybody has already given up on this thread and perhaps realized the same thing that I have. So, I may just be preaching to the choir, but I surely hope and recommend that nobody ever interacts with you in this community again.
true .
why dont white clothes decay? thats my question. Jason should punish towns more for abandoning the tech tree and becoming reliant on the work of old generations.
aint no way this is how the rules work. So to say slurs you have to prove you are of that race/ethnicity?? Slurs should either be fully allowed or fully banned, this is ridiculous !!
I was probably Jason Defender #1 on the discord, but this whole thread has made me rethink what side I really should be on. I mean, I suppose Jason has a point. This is his game, his work, his decisions. However, that does not mean he should completely throw his entire player base out the window. The posts he has made on this thread almost make me whole-heartedly believe Jason is trolling us.
this all feels a little.. artificial. or as jason says: "magic-y"
honestly, jason should just add a cash register item and a currency that can be stored in the cash register infinitely.
we would be able to make coins out of wrought iron using a coin-press, which ideally would only be placed within the store.
the cash register works like property fences. only the maker can use it but it can be passed down. if the maker is killed, it is unlocked. (store robberies? maybe not a good idea haha)
you would be able to put tags on items. tags are made by shearing a piece of paper and getting 6 tags. use a charcoal pencil and a tag and saying a number(instead of only being able to use letters in speech, you would only be able to use numbers whilst writing on a tag), you make "Tag with price - (x price)"
tag with price + thread = tag with thread.
tag with thread + any item = (x item) with tag. right-clicking on the item removes the tag and the item can be used normally. however, hovering over the item gives the name and the written price.
the dynamic will be:
player walks into store
player finds item they need
player takes item
player leaves price of item in coins on counter (we also need counters, and definitely money pouches that can either be attached to a backpack or on the waist of a player)
player leaves with item
shop owner puts coins in cash register
no need for long bartering that takes minutes off the life!
if you have read through my endless rambling, please point out some flaws or add suggestions to my idea. im sure there are many!
things like this make me wish we could bind papers together to make books ingame!
There's an aspect of this game that is a "real maker aesthetic," and I've kept that going for most things
(talking about pinewood panels)
I understand and like this real maker aesthetic, but I feel like this is taken to the extreme. I understand making things like engines, airplanes, etc. difficult because those are very powerful and nice to have, but 20 milkweed just for a single panel which has the worst insulation and can be destroyed in a single axe hit is outrageous!! Not to mention all the branches, too. I understand the need for realism, but sometimes you need to forego realism in order to have a balanced game. You have done this in the past, i.e. making it so swords dont need a handle and can just be made from raw pipe. I would just love to see pinewood houses viable again. If you make them easy to build, they would already be balanced. The insulation sucks and they can be removed easily(but I would prefer being able to move them around instead. maybe we can have both but hitting with an axe takes a ton of durability off of it) Thanks for taking the time to read!
what is your policy on extended weekends and government holidays? do you treat them like regular workdays, or like normal weekends? does it depend on what the holiday is celebrating (for example you wouldn't work on a day off for a holiday relating to your religion, but if it was something like a holiday for a religion you don't follow, you would work that day)?

I was only but a little girl when my town was sacked by two raiders. When I realized what was going on I booked it outside of town and hid behind a tree near a bush. For years I'd just peak out to grab a berry and quickly hide again, I was like Anne Frank lol.
So after a while I took a chance and slowly snuck closer to what used to be my home. The raiders were gone, they killed everyone but only took a few things.I started a fire and got up a yum bonus, I just hit 20 years of age so I was ready to repopulate. Three girls and one boy later, my town finally had some life in it again. I told my children the story of how their ancestors were brutally murdered by raiders, and to be wary of any outsiders. To kill them on sight. One of my boys swore revenge and took off in the direction the raiders were coming from once he was of age to wield a sword.
I died of old age surrounded by my grandchildren in the midst of a town bumbling with life yet again. I couldn't believe that I actually managed to not just survive the raid, but also repopulate and keep the family name alive.
I can't remember the name of the family anymore, It did die later that day, but I sure did everything I could to keep it going a few more gens.
Was your son successful in his quest?
Well I never saw him again so nobody will ever know~
Please check your lineage and stuff, I really really want to know if he succeeded!
I fixed it, you have to do temp login before regular login for some reason.
I'm using Windows 10
Every time I try to load the game after putting in my information, it says that it is updating for 10 or so seconds, then tells me "Move game folder somewhere that is not read-only" this really makes no sense and ticks me off because it's on my desktop, which is not a non-read-only folder. I just want to play the game, and I'll refund if I can't get this fixed.
EDIT: I fixed it, why do we have to do temp login before regular login?
I just bought the game and I installed it, but now it is telling me whenever I open it and put in my information to "Please move to a folder that is not read only" and I have no idea what they mean!! It is in my desktop folder where should I put it!!?!?!?
