a multiplayer game of parenting and civilization building

By positive motivation you mean not isolating griefers but making them join to serve the community.
If you lock all the food you need supervisors to exchange food for all the needed supplies. But then griefers would go to munch wild berries. So you need also a barricade from the outside world and a pass to let them go.
So they would be supplied with carts for gathering outside resources (to pass the gate), but instead they would dump carts in the wilderness and then die (also creating before some mess / waste in town).
So basically to include griefer to work you need many people, just to make sure he/she is working, like in prison. Is this sound like it would ever work?
Positive motivation don't exist because it won't work. If you can think of any give an example. Only isolation works and should be more restricted than it is now.
Why we can force-feed someone more than his/her food bar limit? It causes griefers to immediately ruin all the foods in town.
Great. People are using leadership and hierarchy to organize mass murders. Fun.
I'm thinking about building them some parliament to place all of them there, out of sight. ![]()
Sending me to live alone for some amount of time will surely prevent me from griefing. I don't grief, but sometimes I feel urge for ruin everything just for some primitive fun. So instead of griefing I kill griefers, it's also funny and satisfies my, let's say, primitive lust.
Yeah, I was just reading this topic thinking 'is Jason up to something, more changes?' and then realized it's not a new topic! Please Spoonwood, don't do this.
After update my game crashed several times too, didn't notice what cause it tho.
We don't need noticeboard. IF we need orders to organize, we can't have things that will delay our organizing (noticebords can be chopped by griefers etc.).
I made a quite nice method for achieving and getting up in hierarchy.
But it's not full legal. Maybe I wrote about it later hmm.
Orders seen in town only would be nice. Distance similar to !. I played a little with new update and the followers just stay in one place causing confusion and mass killing, and vote for all their lives. They are armed, but not organized at all. ![]()
Oh, there is a car. If you are in bell town aka Mafia City go north-east in straight line for 0.2k, but it has got empty tank.
Solution to end with self-killing would be to conquer others, but it's easier to kill ourselves.
If newest update would works, I suggest - make a lock, a key, store all knives and bows there, a car too, also kerosene, and let the leader hold the key and pass it to next leader.
The leader should have time limitations for dinging. Like 5 messages for every 5 minutes.
Also maybe different colour of speech bubble for leaders?
BTW right now leadership is being used for forming mafia gangs.
Males supposed to be workers, but if they don't receive care like girls do, they will be worse workers for the community.
So if there's a griefer, and he/she won't follow anyone and screw up with something, he/she won't be exiled. So everyone won't be suspicious about that person...
OR after a while anyone outside the hierarchy will be seen as a threat?
OR they will just give up their clothes pretending to be a person that cares about kids to be warm. ![]()
Why no marks on naked characters? How about a paint?
BTW, why shelves on side walls can't look like that:

?
I follow Jasonanthony Apolononionois. ![]()
This update seems better than I expected, thanks.
I just played an hour thinking how it will works if Jason add this, time is the main factor in this game so I will say one leader is better than arguing, but yeah it's dangerous. Leaders will pass leadership mostly to kids/closest relatives.
How to prevent that?
Choose wisely. The ones that will try too hard to be a new ruler will become suspicious. There is always at least one good person in town, isn't it?
- as one person with power is always dangerous, I would rather suggest to allow multiple persons to have power.
What if two rulers became bad and start working together for fun, how to overthrown them?
I was skeptical, because feudalism would be too complex, but a single leader will be an interesting add. It's easy to choose a good, caring player to pass the leadership (not neccesarily son/daughter). Also to someone who is fast enough.
I was thinking about armour - it takes 2 stabbs to kill the leader. If the leader is overthrowned the armour will falls from him/her (Jason can do such things?
). Armour can be worn only by leaders, so everyone can spot them easily and crown isn't neccesity.
A leader can grant citizenship for useful foreigners, that will gives them some bonus.
Anyways, rather than stop killing ideas etc. we need bonuses for good players and a leader should reward best villagers and mark the bad ones.
I think the fertility bonus is unnecessary and potentially distracting.
Totally agree.
Another idea - a leader could grant titles, but not that royal ones.
Markus is chef.
Abby is smith.
This way people would know who get the right slots.
Scooters are easier to make. Two desks, one stick, three tires and a binder.

I got idea about choosing a good heir.
Start attacking people with knife and the one that will be the first to give you gasp, to stop you, is the person that is proper to dealing with griefers, which means to be the leader.
I was born in 'crazy killing town' that involved my mom, people telling me she's bad, so I was asking her why she doing this. After some time I noticed no one really gets hurt. And there was a guy that was running around bell tower for his whole life.
People noticed too and they join them.. So, I took opportunity, get some yums, join and I travel to another bell town. Including me there was, don't remember correctly, like 4 people and I had like 70% of horse speed. In second town people gave me another speed boost, sadly I starved just before reaching the third one because I forgot about food. ![]()
I don't think that being fed will break the boost, anyone got experience about that?
Also avoid unspecialized biomes of course, don't drop stuff from hands.
This really can be used, we just had apocalypse. When we establish safe towns with many foods we can just build yum chain and speed chain and travel to find others, like 4 people in 4 directions with speed boost. ![]()
Hell, we can even speed up everyone. We don't need blacks and their horses, prrffffff. We can... become horses. This is required list of action:
1. build in your town a circle for marathon, with flat rocks
2. give someone a job to start running in marathon area with stabbing action (without intension to stabb anyone)
3. hold something in your hand and say near marathoner 'i join you' and don't put away that thing
4. the more people will join this cause and say i join you - the greater speed you will gain (they can take breaks and join again later)
5. start running to another town or to find one
6. remember to ask to be fed in other towns, explain to them they also should join
There always must be at least one person in each town to continue this fast chain.

A leader can't be aware of everything and everyone. We should form groups and have initations into that groups. Which means if we reach like 7 year old our mom can invite us into 'tribal group'. Which means she must be aware what her kid behaves from birth to that age, is he/she good or bad. People in groups - trustworthy. Without - exiles, griefers. Give a bonus to a group or/and some disadvantage to exiles.
That's her choice, everybody has their own ways for parenting. I end my life in first village, passing map to nearly finished pump I mentioned to some girl (we left kids there), later I found that map in the raided town. If I didn't see fun in killing, dealing with griefers, I wouldn't be playing this game, it takes too much time beside building.
The cars should have their owners (keys for car).
A multiplayer game of parenting and civilization building that was not.
From my moms perspective she suceed greatly in parenting, telling me what to do and went to fight with us for victory. ![]()
