I know the feeling. Been trying to build rails in many of the big towns.

Every time the local towns folk go nuts or require you to do thousand axes and other useless tools that the civ already posesses. Or they give up on the idea cause "rails are so easy to grieff".

People get so easily triggered in this game and just grieff you to death. You dont really have time to focus on teenagers with neglecting parrents in irl when trying to forge a true transport railway system rather than a mutton track to sheep pen.

How can someone object organizing. You can have your random chitty chatty category where you can spam your rando nonsense.

Was the roadbuilder in this family line(bb tarr). Awesome cactus valley town, was so awesome. Shame we have these grieffing asses here ruining towns. Especially the ones that arent typical super berry farms. Atleast have some eye for the murderings. Kill the typical mega towns with 100 berry farms for sure, but leave these special diamonds alone!

This isn't even hard, just annoying and a loop of simple tasks at the moment.

All i have to say, is please fix the game i love it and hate to see it die.

#481 Re: Main Forum » [Survey] Do you play more or less since the update(s)? » 2018-04-24 09:47:33

Just tryed a run of this game. Born in a village  with farm. All fire wood except from 3 trees is used. Make it kindling. Load up the kilns. -->noob fires up the kilns-->no more tools. I just let myself starve.

At this point, i am not even playing this game that much. Used to play 10 lifes or so a day, but now i mainly just test it out and see if its playable yet.

Decay is a good mechanic, but its introduced way too early. The hate on carrot farming is way too big or atleast confronted the wrong way. Main player base skill level is still pretty low and the skill gap that raises every week makes it even worse. With baskets decaying the item clutter is a serious problem.

So what could we do for this?

For decay i feel like there should be a way to fix broken objects. Also if you make an item once in life time you should not have to do that tedious task again. So decay rate should be atleast onelifetime. Also items that make the game more playable and adress other issues in game should not decay. Ie. baskets shouldn't decay at all. Basket is a tool to manage the item clutter that a big civ brings along side its born. Basket is simpy a tool to keep the place clean and playable. Making a basket decay doesnt make the game "harder" it just makes the game annoying when you have to repeat a simple task (cut two reeds and combine) over and over again.

Hate on carrot farming is confronted now by limiting the resources to farm. I.E. soil nerfs, new BREAKABLE(which take the most used resources, straight shaft, rope, and stone)  tools to fix the soil, nerfs on wild seed. If you dont want people farming carrots the best way to nerf that is to nerf its food value. So you get less food from eating carrots. Carrots aren't that nutrisious in real life. That way if a person wanted to farm his whole life carrots and live from it he could do it, but it would deffinetly take his full time effort to live from them. Also for the soil decay you could introduce farm cycle. Where you have to switch the farmable plant for the soil not to go waste. In real life if you farm on a one plot just one strain it dryes out all the nutrients from the soil and the soil goes waste. To prevent that you farm 1 year of carrots then let the soil rest for one year or plant something else that uses different nutrients or even gives the soil some. Introduce peas. Peas make the soil better and raise its nutrients. This way farming would actually be a planned decision and would need a strategy to live from it. Now its just tedious task that you are forced to do over and over again.

Also if we have these low tier decayable items, we should be able to craft also more durable items. People dont want to build stuff on short term. Atleast everything i do in this game is done on the purpose that my children can benefit from my awesome inventions. Now it simply doesnt last. The skill gap between the player base is vast. Some people cant survive even 10minutes if they are fully geared and in a city full of food. So all it takes for civilization to crumble is one wave of noobs and nothing gets renewed, ponds/wells dry, milkweeds are plucked out, berrys wither, soil gets planted to wheat, arrows and bows are made and everything is gone.

Making people repeat the same simple task isn't making the game harder it just makes it annoying.

#483 Re: Main Forum » BEST SURVIVAL STRATEGY HERE: BABIES KILL THEMSELVES » 2018-04-23 07:20:55

Oh please, this baby suicide thing is a serious problem for me. I've setup a good carrot farm dozens of times, but when you get girl babies they just suicide. And you dont get any decendants cause all your girls suicided and then theres no one to carry on with the village you setup. You get too old to have babies and all meaning withers away.

Seriously babies stop screwing your eves who have done hard job to build a farm.

#484 Re: Main Forum » Latest Update. » 2018-04-21 18:51:00

I really hope to see changes to this update. It just erased all the meaning from the game. Now if i play i just grief a city from valuables (needle XD, tools, cart) and roam in to the wild make clothes and then be like "what now". Live to 60 and die. Feels like there is nothing to achieve, or it doesnt have any meaning cause it will decay before you even die. I dont usually grieff or murder but this update wakened a devil in me.

The influx of asian players should help keep towns going

I just played a whole life. Found the biggest town so far in after the update. There were 4 people, 2 fertile women. With the abundance of food, we were always full, didn't spawn any babies for the entire fertile period.

That is because no one is playing but those in your tribe. The new update sucks and not fun to have to make everything multiple times in 1 life.

Yep this game feels like a loop of Eveing now. Get 3 rope, make water carrying tool, set up farm, hope your decendants can make tools.

Jason also included stone walls which I think, don't decay.
Maybe there is a plan of adding better objects which don't decay so fast, in the future.

For now, if you want a city to last, build out of stone maybe?

Why would you build a house when whole generation of people can starve in an instant.
Before all these nerfs to farming i had a village where i decided to just farm my whole life  and give oportunity to live for every baby. There were tons of carrots, more than people can eat. Yet still out of my and my childrens children only few survived. I stacked 24 corpses to a pile, when there was no good reason to die of hunger. Now its even harder. I can only imagine how new players feel at the moment.

Dont worry, sooner or later jason will activate the apocalypse again and then its all about who destroys everything first smile

Thast not really an achievement for me. Destroying, killing, grieffing is easy, but building up a civilization that can flourish and bring new aspects to game play is much much harder and a true end game for me.

#488 Re: Main Forum » Has the game become too dystopian? » 2018-04-21 15:20:21

Now this game almost feels like a single player game.
No point in trying to raise babies, setting up a food supply is too tedious job and a group of people have hard time living nomadic.
No point of making tools when they break so easily.
No point of making houses, storages, monuments, cause citys will just decay.
No point of making sheep pens, cause you have hard time to support even yourself.
No point of making almost anything else than just clothes for you and running in the wild.

What am i supposed to do in this game at this moment? Craft clothes and run 60mins in wild eating berries and what not, never setling anywhere? That seems to be only leggit way to survive whole life.

So our fine generations of carrot farmers and cactite lovers are none able to speak out numerals. I suggest we should adopt the roman way of numerals as in there is not enough ingame time(you die of hunger if you try to say 10245) to spell out the western option.

If people adopt this policy then it will in time come a new standard and easily readable. Also people get to learn something of our history.

Just for you reminder...

I = 1
II = 2
III = 3
IV = 4
V = 5
VI = 6
VII =7
VIII =8
IX =9
X = 10

L = 50

C = 100

D = 500

#490 Re: Main Forum » The Anti-Spider God revolution is here! » 2018-04-11 14:42:42

This anti-spider god is super cringy facepalm for me. It doesnt have anything to do with ingame things. Just a cheap copy of carotism, berrybushism, cactiteism and pielover society. Please dont invent things off game and stick to something "real". There´s plenty of things to build a religion up from that are actually in the game.

All hail the snake god. Sacrifice your first born to snake.(this can be applyed to bears and wolfs too but needs some skill to commit)
