just to make perfectly clear
i complain about ONE thing only - that i have NO OPTION to heal myself after an attack - that's it
Jason said its coming just put the game down a while till it comes...
Its happened before like that where new items show up before the update hits.

Hmm....
Yeah ive been there too 6 men running around, and one old woman... we usually all go hug the same snake...
Edit: if you are gonna embrace baby suicides give us a suicide button please!
--Allowing other players to help you overcome from most mortal wounds (the ultimate anti-murder-griefing solution). Took me a while to come around to this idea, but I feel like the "sudden shock death," as much as it is my beloved style, is just too off-putting, and it doesn't necessarily add anything to the core meaning of the game. Staggering around begging for help just makes for a better story (even after a snake bite)....
I really hate to suggest this.... On this point it could be possible to add a probability to survival after treatment to keep a bit more weight on the murder.
Like say treatment gives you a 50% chance of recovering from a stab wound, and a 50% chance of dying from an infection in say 2-3 minutes.
Ither way it gives you a longer life to thank people or say tour goodbyes, but even with treatment people dont make it right?
Now thats an idea! Would keep the griefers off the other servers!
Yeah super easy to do if you know how to eat... use a sharp stone on carrot, and burdock. That you can eat berrys from bushes. Knowing what food is available in what biome... Also assuming you know how to eat...
Ive had to show players how to do all those things...
Spawning as an eve until living to 30 would be an absolute grind for those people..
If a super short simple tutorial was offered in game i would 100% think this is a great idea. Because my eve camp has been doomed to die due to run away babies more than once.
I just think that if this were a thing in the current state of the game we would loose even more new players
I think its a great idea to give some incintive for people to play in a productive manner, so they can possibly come back to the same town.
I think a marked grave with a rose should allow you one more go round.
It shows someone cared enough to put in some effort to honor you after you died

Living to 30...? That is like 16 minutes!
I ment abandonded by mom. Say in a big town. As a brand new player living to 30 is almost a feat in its own right.
Most experienced players can die of old age with nothing but a basket and sharp stone, but imagine being brand new first mom just dosent care leaves you to die. Your reborn as an eve.
Abandonment?

I was really excited to play yesterday evening to try making corn tortillas. (Still havent done it). And i stopped playing after my second life, because i saw a town get murdered in the first life ( chick killed all girls then fed self to bear) then i was murdered while making a steel hoe by my own son in the second life.
If a new player is murdered during their first few playthroughs it could really turn them off the game. Mabey even for good.
I dont think murder should be removed or even made harder, but mabey there needs to be a sort of time out server. Like the early days of GTA where if your playing like a jerk you have to serve some time in a lobby populated by other jerks.
Playing as a good player you might kill someone now and then, but say a player kills 5-10 people over two or three lives they are just being a jerk. Pop em to server 666 for a few hours...
A stone hoe needs to last a little bit longer
there is no "password" you have to use the access key in the email with the download link

I think a steam release, or possibly even console adaptation is a great end game for you once the project is over. To simply provide some "mail box" money once your finished with the development process, and move on to your next endeavor.
I think the problem with this game "taking off" is its niche appeal. While from the outside a game that takes only one hour to experience a lifetime seems like a good fit for everyone. (It being a relitively short time frame to dedicate to a "playthrough" of a game) the learning curve requires that you play at least 10-30 games before dying of old age for the first time thus "winning" the game.
Its a hard sell for some people is all im saying.
is it? if so it should be emailed to the account you put in during the payment process check your spam folder.
You may have been scammed
Advertising is expensive.. theres a good reason for it too its not the easiest thing to do (especially in your situation where making the game is a full time job).
Word of mouth is a great option, but one that requires an exceptional amount of work on your part to make it so good people cannot contain their enthusiasm for the game.
I've really enjoyed the game, and i'll take the time to give it an honest plug it on those sites if you really want me too.
Thats a great change!
I found the game on youtube. Have you tried sending free keys to more youtubers? Just in hopes they give it a plug.
Well, YAHG, this may be a longer-term problem with the core design of the game. It's a game where every life is different, and you have to say goodbye to what you worked on when you die.
The inherent boredom or lack of planning that comes with this core design is something you only face after you've been playing the game for a long time. Though it obviously affects long-term player retention, it's not going to be something that causes new players to bounce off.
Still, it's kinda the core idea of this game. Without that, it's a different game. And there are loads of games where you can keep working on the same thing forever.
This is a game about finding collective meaning in a system of individuals where there is inherently no individual meaning.
I've always avoided tutorials in my games, but maybe I need to bite the bullet on this one.
It dose not need to be much just eating, and crafting an example item. Discovery, teaching, and being taught are the best parts of the game.
I watched someone make burritos yesterday, and it was great!!
I think a simple tutorial of the game would help alot. I talked my friend into trying the game on my laptop, and after dying as a baby a few times he was finally raised to a kid.
He could move just fine, but the problem was eating. I laughed my arse off when he couldn't figure it out.
This really hard start turns alot of people off. A basics button on the login screen with a few pictures would help alot of fresh players.
Im not talking about a detailed crafting guide, but mabey just how to eat, make basket, and how to make a stone axe (just as an example of multi step crafting mechanics)
Have sales dipped? Thats two topics that are quasi promotional recently. Thought about getting a banner ad somewhere?
Fathers arent a thing. And that means we are all bastards!
Then I want to add turnips. Rutabagas. Spinach. Kale. Broccoli.
Cabbage is for sauerkraut, and you need to make a kraut board and crock, and find some salt. But WHY? What's the niche?
Turnips please!!!!
I wish we could feed people mushrooms again..
In big cities I like to run around with a shroom asking peeps if they wanna get high.
This was also my favorite thing to do lol i would feed random peeps shrooms then tell them to say f for food lol
I always suicide when born with no last name
