How can I do that myself? They sometimes moves slower or faster than average, while my speed is always the same. What's going on? During slow walk I can grab the baby, so I think it's not lag?

How about froze mother for 2 seconds? And if she's riding get her down from horse? I used zoom mod (awbz) and sometimes I didn't noticed I had a child, he/she was born behind tree or I zoom out too much to hear it. Also sometimes mothers in villages says 'I'm sorry I didn't know I have a kid'.

You need to go back to rift. Change the rift to island, water on the borders, each island with different shape. Many resources. smile So you can form towns. Distribute players into few islands to avoid the babypocalypse on one.

Yeah. I'm on the edge myself, so I just skip playing for awhile and hope things will stabilize and update will be balanced ;D I either want to tell my babies to fuck off or wish the game won't sell very well. I wanted to learn something so I watched Twisted video, back then town were perfectly clean and running smoothly, plenty of food and water (and even properties!), I think even hunger were slower. So it broke my heart when I watched it. ;( big_smile

I can't prove it. Multiple curses usually means many people saw what that person does, so it's more likely it was real griefer. If we kill someone that will be banished to donkey town (4 curses if I remember correctly), we can get the bonus.

Another idea - blessings. smile If we can curse, we can also bless someone that helps village.

Remember, zoom out too much and you can miss spawned baby.

I teach them yum chain is most important (slower hunger saves village resources). I show them places in village, I prefer if baby reacts to this, if not I'm afraid that they turned into potato. I give them small tasks. I didn't realize so much people don't have zoom mod, so I will start to teach about it, thanks.

The genes are fucked up system when it comes to tool slots. I saved my ginger village, but a lot of babies died, there were so many of them. So in reward I lose score under 30 even I saved them and provide stable village for them.

Yeah.

You can force people to make food and fight for THEIR lifetime. You can't force people to get smarter / caring for future generations. Gene score isn't necessity. Because of that we will never organize, when the food is gone we do the easiest things, we move into another location or loot from others.

People just sit by the fire and do small tasks, the ones who want to advance technology / gather oil can't do whole things by itself. Before update I got a feeling there is not enough danger, now it's replaced by feeling life is pointless, tribe will die soon or move elsewhere. No fighting for territory cause it can't last, no fighting with different tribes.

Update don't deliver what was promised:

To make life in each parallel family feel unique - I don't feel like my fam is unique, I feel that they sucked because of skin limitations

To encourage players to bridge language barriers between families - they die too quickly so we can't learn language (use rubber ball to erase text on paper to communicate with them)

To make climbing the upper reaches of the tech tree less linear, monotone, and certain - slow down exploitation of technology and add them more so we won't reach end goal (end of tech evolution)

Make dogs useful. Dog can live in pen and guard the sheeps. You need to gain his respect (time + giving him foods wink) in order to enter pen and then to kill sheeps.
