Me and a few other people from Discord just spent the past few hours spreading iron to all the towns across the map. We know how hard it is constantly being griefed and having stuff stolen we decided to help everyone we could find. If you noticed large amounts of iron in baskets outside, or in your town with no explanation that was us!

This was our base in its prime. It worked out well! We had a town nearby that we used to help make the oil, and some of the chisels. They were MOSTLY friendly. Only one of us got murdered once.

We hope you all use the iron well! We saw the Kha's making an engine for themselves with our iron. It felt good.

Don't give up on this game, good people are still out here. We'll win in the end. The griefers are outted, and well known. Hopefully Jason will help us.

Big thanks to Yikes, Whatever, and Lavadeath678 for the help with this! We did good guys.

This thread is wholesome. I love it.

I completely agree. The griefers are pushing me away from the game. There's nothing anyone can do about them. They just spawn as Eves, come in, wipe a town out and loot it.

We can't stop them. They travel in groups, and it's far easier to grief than to fix. Putting us all close together has made it 500000x worse and the fun I once had with the game is dead. I can't play and build, I have to fight. I always have to fight. I don't want to fight anymore. I just want to build a town.

It really breaks my heart. I really loved this game, I played it so much. It sucks to say the griefers are winning, but they are. I can't keep fighting.

Yeah I griefed your guy's town. It was a fun revenge after all the shit you've all pulled on us. You all have killed me many times, but cry and scream the moment it happens to you. Also I never stole a plane? That plane behind the tree was never yours, and your friend admitted it. He said you guys found it and hid it so people wouldn't lose it.

Plane

Also I never touched it. Idk what happened to it.

You guys act so innocent, but you take everything you can grab and put them in your little private towns, and then run around and kill and grab more stuff. Stealing engines, putting engines in carts, and useless wells.

You hide stuff behind bear caves, and stalk the Tarr Monument and kill everyone there.

You get your friends to give you gate permissions to a town and kill everyone inside over and over and over. Play dumb all you want, You all brag about it in the discord like children.

All you people defending them are the reason this game is going to die. Being griefed constantly isn't fun, and people are getting tired of it. Yes probably half of this problem is Jason's fault for giving them an easy way to grief, but defending the people doing it isn't right.

#631 Re: Main Forum » Discord - The breeding grounds Of Griefing » 2019-08-05 05:17:37

I think accounts with high murder rates in the past month should be banned from being an Eve.

#632 Re: Main Forum » Discord - The breeding grounds Of Griefing » 2019-08-05 04:30:52

It's a specific group doing it. What they do is they get born to a town, get the gate permissions, and then let their Eve friend in to slaughter everyone.

This happens over and over and over. Even if you kill then, they just return in a pack.

They do nothing but sit in the Official Discord general chat and grief the game all day.

Their Discord ID's are Chomp (@chomp231#5155), Zivisziv (@Zivisziv#8115), @Shaivi Baine (@Shaivi Baine#1895), @JACK HAMILTON (@JACK HAMILTON#4255), Dark (@DarkDrak#5301), and some more but they're not 100% confirmed.

Honestly, they need to be banned from both the discord and the game. They add nothing to the community and are just general garbage people.

#634 Re: Main Forum » Can you implement a sound when peace is declared maybe a text effect? » 2019-08-02 16:52:53

Definitely need a noise. My mom and an old man were trying to do it and they both said peace in each other's language, but we weren't sure if it worked and we didn't want to "test it"

Same thing happened me with and an old man. We said it several times, but we just weren't sure.

YES EVERYONE WHO ATTEMPTED WERE OVER 55.

#635 Re: Main Forum » Reflection : Eis - Slinker War What can we learn? » 2019-08-02 16:50:43

We need to learn to CLOSE THE FUCKING GATES. JUST CLOSE THEM. WE DIED BECAUSE SOME KID LEFT THE SOUTH GATE OPEN.

#637 Re: Main Forum » Fix Milkweed » 2019-08-02 11:41:31

I also think it's the lack of loose iron laying around.
It's impossible to get a place started without tools. There may be veins, but that doesn't help an Eve. Loose iron needs to respawn.

So I just had an idea of how to make trading, and co-existing work. Add an emote to the game where if you have it on you can't draw a sword or a knife or bow.

People will actually trust you, and not kill you on sight.

"Well couldn't you just change your emote and draw a weapon?" Well I'd say make it unchangeable for at least a minute. This gives people time to actually trust you and realise you're not a threat.

Having this will make encounters easier, and might possibly let us actually trade and live together.

Murdering people doesn't area lock them because it can't. This means griefers continue to keep coming back, and back and back. You can kill them 10 times and nothing changes.

I know what you're going to say. Curse them! I did. But there is 40 people in a town, and nobody has any idea what is going on because there's too many murders, too many people, the names are all crazy weird because of the massive amount of births. You tell people to curse them but no one has any idea who is who. This is isn't fun. This is REALLY rough. REALLY REALLY rough.

The lack of families just makes this impossible to deal with. All of us, the entire player base gets born into a single town because there's only one family left. Even if you get born into a different village it's a VERY short walk back to the main town to cause more mayhem or simply /die until you're born back because you will be. There's no way to fight this Jason. What are we supposed to do? Seriously? Build fences? They're killing us from the inside.

I played for an hour, and I killed 5 people who were griefing. I was killed 3 times, and on my 4th life I decided to give up and kill myself when I watched a 3 year old run off with the bucket again. This is seriously hell. Hiding stuff behind trees has always been a problem, but it's out of control now with limited resources. Losing a bucket means death in a place with limited resources. "Plant more milkweed!" How are we supposed to water them? Walk across the map to find a pond over and over? Then when they're finally grown and you make a bucket, a 3 year old runs off and hides it behind a tree. Putting you in the same position.

tree

This isn't fair.

My solutions for this? Make it so we can use bowls on cisterns. It's an unmovable water container. It would help a lot. My solution for the tree griefing? Make tiles behind trees taken up by the trees. This tree hiding is disgusting and unfair. You and I both know people can see through trees, but a large majority of the players cannot.

My solutions for the griefers being reborn over and over? Revert the rift. This is NOT working Jason. There is no possible way this can work anymore. The lack of families, and space for murdered people to go is making it so much harder on people just trying to play. I don't like having to watch my family to make sure they're not stealing shit, I don't like having to spend my time finding stuff behind trees because I'm one of the few good players that can, I don't like being born to the same town over and over and over and over and over and over. I don't like this.

griefer

Dealing with griefers isn't a story like you put it. It's a stressful time no one likes dealing with because the damage they cause can last a long time. They killed all the sheep? That's half a lifetime of work, growing rope and finding the sheep and stuff. They hid all the iron and tools behind trees? That's 2 lifetimes of work, between getting more iron and smelting it all and making more tools. Oh they hid all the plates? That's 10-20 mins of work to make new ones. All the while the times inbetween are hell because we can't work without the items that were stolen or hidden.

But guess what Jason. It takes only a few seconds to grief all the work that was done. That's the huge flaw. Pick up the iron, the buckets, the pies, the plates and put them far away. It takes them no time at all. Kill them, they come back and do it again.

The way the game is right now isn't going to ever work. This isn't OHOL. One family? One town? How is this your vision? At least get rid of the rift until you think of a way to fix it because me and a lot of other people are at our limit.

I loved this game. I have over 700 hours in it! But I just can't stand it right now. It's so draining. The only thing that makes me play is the community. There's so many good people here, but there's so many bad people too.

What if the baby has a back pack too, and that baby had a backpack? Can we have an infinite baby carrier

#648 Re: Main Forum » Are you ready for the Steam review score to tank? » 2019-07-30 06:49:10

I just want my hard work to not be reset everyday. A natural death is more acceptable than a reset.

Engines and oil are stressful. I want to feel like it was worth that stress, or else why am I doing it

#649 Re: Main Forum » Slave cages are the new griefing, personal property taking a sick turn » 2019-07-29 18:59:09

Seem to glaze over the extreme anger that has been most of the community messages. Yes we all are invested in this game but this update doesn't feel like OHOL. Cities we build are gone in 15 hours. Families are all destroyed leaving only one. The end game is a slow death of lack of resources. The only hope is escape, but wait. Living outside doesn't count. It will all be reset if we leave to survive.

I have hope it will be better, but this is really rough. It's only been fun because we're breaking your game, we're outside and we're living well! The people on the outside were doing so well we air dropped in rations because we felt so bad for them and we want to stay outside. We're fighting the reset to enjoy the game as we once knew it. No raiders, and no limited resources.
