I was born the only girl remaining to the Lucas family, as one would expect I was called Hope. I had several children before I died of old age. My daughters have taken over the dying town and hopefully this continues! Good luck Lucas lineage I was all of you playing as a member of the family best of luck!
I really enjoy this game and have for some time now - but this killing of people just makes me kinda sad and angry.
I was Billy. I spend my whole life today making my self a gold crown, figuring out how it works, since I like to learn by doing, instead of looking up wiki about it.
This un-named person in my family kept asking me for it, and I declined her multible times, till she just desided to stab me, I was patched up by my dear family, but she just stabbed me again, because its no big deal, in this game. And I died fighting for the crown I made. But my life before this, I was Fitzwilliam. This was also today.
I was in a small town farming. I kept the berries, when my mother told me to go find carrot seeds. There was these 2 noisy children in the town, always yelling REEE, at each other, i dont know what gibberish that is, but it was quite disturbing. When I got back with my bag and basket filled with carrot seeds these children had made knives and killed the whole town. Even my dear mother. I ran off before they could get to me, but sadly in my panic i didnt see the snake on the ground and I died, with my arms full of carrot seeds.Killing people should be much much harder i think. It kinda ruins the game.
This was my first post, I know its been posted on the forum many times before, but I think it's important that it is looked into. Can we maybe have a non-killing realm? An option to just enjoy everything else in the game, but the murdering, from other players. If I want to pvp, ill go back to play WoW./Micca
Yo, dude! I was Tonya, a female kid at the time of your stabbings! It was really stupid watching someone get whacked over just a crown, your murderer died by the way! And just before I died of old age an Eve spawn into town just when our female population was looking low! Sorry you died my dude, I kept track of your berries and mostly made compost during my life! Hopefully next time we share a town nobody gets stabbed!
Killing is fine as long as it is people you don't like.
The moral posturing is lovely, nothing is as fun in our guilt based cultures as righteous hatred.
The delicious pleasure of sticking it to the asshole with none of the painful guilt.
The meta-level of imposing "mental-eugenics" on game-players for being evil racists is ironic as fuck.Killing someone in game for threatening you death is pretty good reason. It is also kinda funny because racism doesn't
make sense in game because it actually IS only sprites and there is no real differences between the chars. Slavery doesn't
really make sense either as anyone who actually does any useful work can't help but be used by the more useless
people in town.An interesting question this brings up is why is it worse to kill the black characters (there are no African models in game
at this point) than it is to kill the male characters? There are threads about how the evil murder should at least spare the
womenz as if they were more deserving of life. There was even a thread were when the blood god 'Dishnes' (sp?) took
vengeance on the amazon tribe for murdering him for being a boy and people mostly decried him as a griefer.Ma-nish Tala Ha-liala Ha-zeh?(roughly) Why is this time different from the other times?
I consider there to be a bit of a difference between letting males die in game because of the very limited tactical different and inability to create children which if your village is small or going through/has gone through a brief famine where everyone died and you don't have enough food around for a surplus of children, to be inherently different to seeing someone walking around the village with a bow and arrow saying some pretty edgy racist stuff and threatening to shoot people who were already working and killing them for being a threat.
I also don't support killing males in game either through inaction or murder unless there's a very good reason for it, we're all players after all and I dislike the idea of souring, even briefly, the experience of the game for anyone unless there's a real reason to do it.
It isn't worse to kill the black characters. It's just dickish being dickish, if I saw anyone threatening anyone and generally showing threatening behaviour to the stability of the town you do what needs to be done, that was just the specific instance of how that particular killing went down. I've since killed other people for a myriad of things now, mostly along the same vein of being an active threat although not the same exact circumstance.
I was in this town, I was your granddaughter who you fed!! Thanks to you, only two people were bitten by the bear and both survived. Afterwards, I was able to find gold and we made some crowns. Thank you so much for saving our lives!
Ahh! That's such good news! I'm glad you guys were okay! I do my best to put the colony above my own survival always, especially if I'm old and past child bearing age! I'm glad I fed you, some of the mothers in that town weren't the quickest to get to their kids unfortunately so I stuck around and fed any babies I saw that might need it!
I hope the town made a bow and arrow or something too, I remember everyone scrambling to find one and being unable to which is why I did the march of death to get the bear out of town.
A bear recently attacked our village and at the time I was an old woman with a bowl of gooseberries in my hand. Knowing my life was less important I led the bear out of town, I was Ivy, I hope I led him far enough away before he claimed my life! Best of luck to you guys I hope you survive!
I have seen a few towns with doctors which is a good sign. I'm yet to see any successful healing but people were still learning.
Wondering if the amount of murders is lower because of the good doctors.
I've seen successful healing and been a recipient of it myself actually! It's slowly going since it can take a while to figure out the mechanics of a new update, BUT! I know in the time I've seen people using it that it's been fairly effective!
You just missed the start of Bambi Storm's satanist ritual. All her kids are devout followers. The town has gone down a dark path!
I died of old age before they got to the good part >:(-Rune
I was a nameless boy that just recently died of old age. I wasn't allowed to be named as my mother had been shunned by the village since she didn't partake in Satanic worship, when I last saw the town it looked like it would soon collapse, no fertile females in sight. Is this the end of the Storm family? We will have to see — where Storm city may have failed perhaps the offshoot Cake town will fair better?
I'm the one that healed you! That lady needed to go
Thank you for that btw! I was fully expecting to die and was resigned to that since I wasn't sure if any one would believe me, but it needed to be done. I lived until 56 so thanks again for the heal, my guy!
So I've never killed anyone in game before but here comes a lady saying 'all blacks are slaves' and threatens to shoot me since I have dark skin in this life in game. Noticing the obvious threat this woman is I go and get a bow and kill her, I immediately get stabbed, BUT! I have enough time to explain what happened and I get healed!
Moral of the story nip problem people in the bud as quick as you can before they can do damage, I'm glad I didn't end up murdered there!

I was the one that kept trying to give Donna the apron to wear so she could store some extra food in that much coveted extra inventory slot! I died not long after you guys left, I saw that interaction of you all deciding to leave- it was pretty interesting, I was curious how you guys had fared!
Haha I remember that!
As of right now, it seems that they're still going! Mary had one daughter, Annie, who carried on. http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … _id=378174
I'm going to try to spawn into it to see if I recognize the place.
Oh! That's exciting, I hope they do well! Maybe they'll end up making another proper colony, that'd be nice! Hopefully if either of us spawn in there, it'll be at the same time!
I just finished my first life in Stormville. I was Trowa: http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … _id=378174
I convinced a small number of people, including my brother Wayne, my aunt Tye, and her daughter Mary, and her other daughter Donna (who barely knew how to eat) to strike out with me and start a new town in a big grassland north of a big prairie due east. We took a couple of carts, some steel tools, and other supplies and headed out. A few died on the way, but I know Wayne, Mary, and Donna made it.
Immediately we cleared some land and Wayne and Mary started a farm. Donna, bless her, gathered berries, while I started a fire, ventured for squash and beans, kept things organized, supplemented food, and built a forge. Donna starved as I was trying to teach her how to make a snare. Wayne went off to find seeds and apparently starved--I never saw him again.
I died before I could say goodbye to my family. Mary, I hope your daughters lived. The last time I saw you, your milk had dried up.
That was much more rewarding than getting fat on pies and stew in the city.

Love beeing Eve and watching the lineage continue.
Honestly same! It's really sweet watching something you built grow and get added to! And if your family is nice you can actually have quite a nice and cute time. I had one son who fed me up until my death from old age so I could finish saying my goodbyes and promised to bury me and put flowers on my grave. Folks that stay around for an Eve are usually pretty nice!
Oh! And I think I might've been in one of your lineages at one point!
I like being an Eve, but it's super heartbreaking when your grandkids turn out to be murderers. So much effort wiped out by idiots.
Yeah, that's always upsetting! Luckily so far most of the kids that I've had survive have been pretty sweet and helpful, grandkids too- I think I got killed by a granddaughter of mine once which was uh, something alright!
Depends on location,
More than fair! A bad location can make being Eve or her children a nightmare.
I know I do, there's a lot of fun to be had trying to balance survival and growth and it's nice trying to create a lineage! But I know a fair amount of people really don't like being Eve or born to one just getting started.
I've had a lot of fun getting the beginnings of a town going and even more fun seeing my line actually get a town running even if most towns usually end up dying out for one reason or another.
What's your verdict guys? Yay or nay to being Eve?

When I came back from burying my mother, i noticed that Heloise had been murdered! If I had stopped my sister from making the bow and arrow, im sure Heloise would still be alive. It was so sad. I confronted her with the bow and she ran off. I needed to put down the bow so i tried and, shot a baby by accident but my niece and the baby laughed it off. I felt so bad. I confronted her again, and she told me it was because of all the noobs(?) and that she was mad that she had to work naked(???).
We never spoke but I do remember seeing you a few times. Too bad Murder and Drama happened after I died, Too many people salty about not getting gear. Maybe it was the lady that wanted my shit when I was old, I gave to someone I felt that earned it.
As for noobs, Everyone I interacted with seemed pretty solid so I'm not sure. Being naked isn't the worst thing, clothing is a privilege not a right.
Honestly backpacks were more important than clothes in that instance since they cost the most to make, best to get those out of the way first- those extra inventory spaces save lives! But honestly? Up until I died I was the only one making clothes/backpacks, we didn't even have a snare at one point, I made one whilst I was out in the wild getting clay for my mom Izabella Pen, found a patch of milkweed and had my sharp stone on me whilst a straight branch was nearby.
Folks really shouldn't be fighting over clothes especially since they degrade anyway, killing someone over that is stupid, just means less people to the run farms and other vital parts of the town!

I spent a lot of my life out in the wilderness getting stones for a well, or clay, or as of my last trip rabbits and thread, I got enough to make a new backpack which I gave to a kid and I gave my backpack — before I died of old age — to one of the women working in the farm. By the time I died there was half a backpack ready up near the where the rabbits were.
Oh! I was actually Simon Pen up until like a minute ago! Died of old age though!
So sad! I was actually the Eve of that settlement and also Venus Mcabee when I booted up the game later in the day, I was so happy to see it'd lived when I'd respawned! Hopefully I'll be able to rekindle the line again!
