Makes me think of primitive technology (YouTube Channel).
Guy makes shit from scratch, He is basically Eve.
I quit griefing for awhile but started up again, Only with raiding though. Never against your own family. Even then I don't do it that much.
The other day I was in Dub lineage, Brought a griefer to justice and was invited on a bell raid. We spent a long time traveling and only about 5 minutes for the actual battle. Three of us Ran in with war swords and destroyed a good portion of the town.
But their was actually a branch of our lineage living with the enemy!
So sadly I got killed by one of them after realizing he was immune to my sword.
Was fun but probably not worth it. Cities are pretty secure against raids, Too many people to kill and most are armed. Along with medics to heal inquired. We killed many but a single girl means their numbers recover in a couple gens.
Easier and more beneficial to just steal and run.
So suiciding to become Eve is a thing again now....
Guess the playstyle wouldn't be sustainable life wise, Burning multiple lives to get one possible hour as Eve.
I'm gonna have to disagree. It is easier to be killed but also easier to kill.
I don't think anyone enjoys it.
In regards to population i wouldn't compare to reality.
Need a come less together update. The old system had Eves spawning in the wild but very rarely they could spawn in town.
The afterlife:
Heaven is an infinite berry field
Hell is infinite bears.
Makes you feel like Thanos when you've been working on the apocalypse.
Just make dad's an optional thing with inbreeding disabled.
What about Proper Burial= Getting another life in that town.
By proper Burial I mean an actual marked grave, Preferably with the correct relation marked.
It adds a sorta good karma system, Being good prompts others to bury you so you can return. Then you might do it for the people who buried you and so on.
Just change up the words
I don't like curses for dying babies, You could run on perpose on the same mum and get themultiple curses.
An idea is to remove the letter restriction on cursing. Babies could then potentially curse a bad mum. Add the ability to type "curse mum" in case your mum rides off on her horse before you see a name.
Another idea is disabling babies while in a vehicle.
Their is some obscure tech that involves paper.
Radios: Aren't very common but can be used as a translation machine.
Photo paper: Not useful practicaly but fun sometimes
Playing cards: From a craptastic filler update tnat added gambling.
You could play cards with someone but you have no reason to.
I think the new system has benefits too. Newer players can can be more confident in killing griefers/ Raiders
I think breaking the honor system should allow for cursing non-family. Like kids under eight or unarmed people aren't a direct threat. Not until they actually pickup a weapon.
In other words, anybody without a weapon on them is a civilian. They CAN be killed but it opens the attackers family to being cursed forever.
Stealing is difficult though. With this system it would be dishonorable to kill an unarmed thief. Guess Jails could provide an altarnative for dealing with them.
But jails have the loophole of locking uo civilians and just starving them. But that's hard to do in mass.
I was the last male of a town when I met a looter, was it you? lmao
Our town was full of males, as my mother was the last girl, and she only gave birth to males.
We celebrated the last days of the town by eating all the pies!

Did you try to kill me with a war sword?
I didn't fight because i had my stuff already, I just left with my horse. Came back a decade or so later and nobody was around.
A use for radios!
I think it's feasible to build some sort of checkpoint by having radios on both ends.
Town Guard: Welcome to bell town, What is your intention
Outsider: War!!!!!!
Town guard: Come on through
Most importent resource: Rarely grown/ Gathered
Low grade food item: Half the town
I hear that abandoned towns will turn back to nature for a bit but stone walls will remain.
I spent alot of time in dead towns looting them. I accelerated ab Eve camp by bringing alot of tools and buckets. Was even a pick and stanchion kit so I could mine a vein. In ruined belltowns I even encountered another looter or a last remaining male at least. I also got a load of plates and bowls.
Guess now it will be harder. Not much loot in overgrown towns, Gotta find more recent ones.
Nice, Nothing to complain about.
Baskets lasting forever is a relief, that alone will help with clutter. Boxes of stuff would be more space efficient now that baskets don't have to be remade, That'll clear out the carrot farms.
Slotted box will help with kitchens and general clutter.
Hopefully someday we will be able to make cars that sweet, rip.

People are so afraid about griefers that they are killing everyone, doing exactly what griefers want, eves are being killed like sheeps. We have two choices, TRY to live in multicultural society as we once had, accepting our different languages, trying to learn with each other... or make swords and kill ourselves. Usually people choose the easiest decision taken by fear, and the ones turning this game in a bloody pool are ourselves.
Here is what i suggest
I've seen people talking about making prisons and people being killed unjustly, what if we could use the nets to arrest people? Once you throw the net on someone he or she wouldn't move, wouldn't starve and wouldn't have children, that could stop griefers and wouldn't allow them to simply die and grief another town and could stop people from being killed unjustly, since you are traped you can be judged. So you might say "but griefers could use the nets too", yeah, but that wouldn't kill you and someone from the village could simply free you. Or you might say "well, another griefer could simply free the traped griefer", yes, thats right, but being a student of risk management i can say it is impossible to completely eliminate risks, but it's possible to soften them. I think it's a fair solution and easier than make prisons.
I suggested something similar in the form of shackles and was shot down from all sides, safe one or two persons.
How is a non-lethal sword more toxic than an actual lethal sword?
because this isnt real life, death = respawn
I'd rather die than get stuck with a bunch of noobs and nets.
You guys have been playing for a short while so pretty please, do as Jason should and start paying attention to when the community says something will turn terrible.
We knew cooldownless swords were insanity, fences useless and we also know locking down people makes them feel terrible. They'll stay sometimes for the hope of being released, but griefers have 0 need to wait, they'll die if not fed and respawn. If a mechanic made to punish griefers hits normal players its not working so well.
That's exactly the point, Death isn't an actual punishment.
Should also have vampire hunters to counteract griefer vamps.
I don't know if this post is a joke suggestion or serious.
That flint stone meme is actually accurate. They got a lot of primitive modern tech like we do.
I'm all for watchtowers with built in zoomout, With the ability to shoot from within even if that isn't pacifist.

Would an in-game minimap be possible?
