I think this is a beautiful idea. This also leaves room for better water extraction technologies smile

Irrigation soon?

It's very likely that the person is a new player and was clicking things that looked interesting.

I think this is a really good idea. I'm supportive of the anarchaic playstyle that this game allows, so maybe my opinion wouldn't be the best when considering other people's experiences.

The problem is that with current game balance griefing is immensly powerfull.  So it's not like you are griefing and then one other person had bad experience.  It's more like one griefer = twenty unhappy people.  One or two greifers on the server and it looks like greifing is everywhere.

I can definitely see that. But I think that's what makes the game fun. Things like that can happen in real life, but the difference is that this is a game, where people can test the limits and be as obnoxious as possible, or stick with the system and do everything correctly (as much as possible). It is, in general, more free.

In a game where you can die by pretty much anything, having a good experience is something you have to earn. I think griefing and ruining the experience for others should be expected, and actually enhances the experience.

It is useful, but I don't think it's realistic: a particular realism that fits the game. Temperature lasting for about 1 to 3 seconds, then matching the temperature of the tile you ran by/stopped on, would be my idea of ideal.

I love the idea of reincarnation having an impact on the game. When you are born to a skin tone, you'll have a higher chance of being a specific character. With more characters, I think this would be really cool. You could somehow identify specific accounts.

I think reincarnation should be rewarded with doing any action whatsoever. Even if it is griefing, I don't think people grief for very long. It's human nature to be bored and test the limits of the game; seeing if you can murder an entire village; it's a slowly expanding game, and people will get bored.

Perhaps just adding more social systems? To make people not bored, and instead of murdering eachother, they can just be dramatic and political. Instead of messing up the farm, mess up people's social status and make people hate eachother. The social aspect seems like it would help a lot and be fun. How did primitive people socialize? I'm sure it wasn't all just survival.

Oh ok cool! I actually didn't know that.

The desert brings you at the equivalent temperature as a grassland, but on the hot side. Unless I'm wrong, the yellow-grass area is a savanna and should be bit more on the warm side (based on google searches). Either the savanna should be on the warm side, but more beneficial than grasslands and deserts (closer to balanced temperature); or the desert should be less hot, and the savanna even closer to a balanced temperature.

Right?

So I noticed that when you're naked in the desert, it is as if you're in the savanna or grasslands naked. The desert should be an extreme, just like the tundra. As such, I think the savanna should be a hot biome! One where if you're naked, it's as if you're in the grasslands. And if you're naked in the desert, it should be like being naked in the tundra. I think this would make the experience more diverse, and allow us to take advantage of our environment.

Edit: After some research, I've found that the the savanna is actually a woodland desert biome (juniper tress) which is cold like a grassland/forest biome.

And thanks to Morti, I've concluded that a (hot) desert is actually more habitable than a cold biome due to the more extreme cold temperatures. So the desert not being full-hot makes sense.
