"early 2nd gen".  You have kiln, wet bowls and no berry bush planted yet.  Just about to start fire.  Perfect moment to worry about bears.  When I saw him putting thread on skewer, at first I thought that it was a misclick.  Then he added flint tip...

#53 Re: Main Forum » people really need to relax geez » 2018-07-23 09:31:21

I've seen kid today making a bow and arrow in early 2nd gen camp.
- Bow? What for?
- To hunt.
- Hunt what?
- Bear.

Yeah, right dude...

Penalty/slowdown should be really small.  Not stone lifting level, not toddler level, maybe kid level.  It's more of a hint that you're doing something wrong and as information for other players (+ model change).

You should overeat 2-3 times in a row for it to kick in - sometimes you have no choice.

It shouldn't kick in when you were hungry/starving and overate (mainly kids and elders).

Bonus for helicopter mothers: your kid should grow fat if you pick&feed him too often.  Or maybe not.  I'm pretty sure they would be doing this even more frequently: "Look how healthy and well fed he looks!" wink

Maybe it would be good idea to have some marker on player that has been cursed by someone in current live.  People could watch them more closely.  Would help with griefers stealing stuff, etc.

Would have to be a two person job, You'd be stuck on slowdown.

Wow, that's quite dangerous surgery.  Not only patient, but one of the doctors can die.  Then if you cannot explain murder scream and two dead bodies around, second doctor may be lynched by mob as well wink

ILY.  Pair that with prison milkweed plantation and we can have dozen of carts and boxes again.

Pen is always filled with lots of junk (dead lamb, bones, etc.), so I'll pretty much always throw stuff outside.

I thought so as well.  So there is a puzzle for you:

It used to be that you could feed unshorn sheep to get dung.  I learned recently that's no longer true.  When did the change happen?  I couldn't find it even in git log.

Actually asking kids to do move mutton meat to bakery and get rid of sheep bones is really good idea.  You can teach them how to make compost in between.

Nice to know.  Thanks.

I was about to post that too. That Eve had so many kids, that you have scroll sideways to see the entire familytree in 1080p. Wow!

I imagine some most have been twins that bumped the baby counter up, but it's still extreme.

And not only her.  If you look at the last names they are: New, Summer, Lee and bunch of nameless ones.  WFT was happening here?  Eves' party?

LOL, that's explains a lot.  OP: have you indeed forgot to mention this completely irrelevant bit?

#66 Re: Main Forum » When should people curse? » 2018-07-22 21:36:11

Depends on the context.  Sometimes threatening with a knife is totally legit and threatened players should be cursed instead.

Sometimes I curse people that are not directly violent, but are griefing anyway - like stealing and hiding tools.

Sometimes I threat people myself.  Example: somebody shears all the sheeps and dont feed them.  I ask them to feed sheeps and lambs.  If they ignore it it threaten them with a knife.  If they still ignore it, I stab them.  I can get occasional curse or two, but it's them that are griefing the whole town - they hurt composting a lot and famine is around the corner.

People, you really need to tone it down a bit, not everyone who makes a weapon is a griefer.

Yesterday I helped a settlement get on its feet. I helped them make the farm, brought seeds and eggs and even had a baby girl. But I wanted to kill some bears that were nearby and were endangering our community so I made a bow and I put it there in plain view for all to see that I was making that bow so no one would think I was going to kill anybody. So I prepared my bow and my featherless arrows and I when to gather some goose feathers that I needed but then I come back and I find two people (one holding my arrows and the other one holding my bow) calling me a griefer, saying that I had stolen some axe and saying they were going to kill me. Then they start chasing me around the camp and finally kill me with a vengeance for something that I did not do.

You were borderline griefing, in fact.  Completely unitnentionally, but still.  What usually happens if you leave armed bow in plain view, is some bored kid sooner or later picks it up, runs around village and kills somebody, saying fake "Sorry I didn't mean to".  And then you need to steal an arrow and spend 10 minutes searching for milkweed to make a bow to kill him.  And then, because it took a while since original killing, you're often accused to be griefer and dispatched by somebody else.

It's not wrong that you've made a bow.  It's necessary.  It's wrong that you left it in plain view.  Go hide it somewhere or keep all arrows in backpack.  Would you leave armed gun in your kid's room?  And when your son kills your lil daughter, would you call him a griefer?

Just beware you can have a bad trip on shrooms too.  Once almost everything turned for me into knifes and bloody bodies.

Apparently living to sixty dosn't give you lineage ban, I had a cousin die of old age and then immediately come back as my grandson.

That is no true. Mighty Henry of Pharo Family was getting reborn, well, like endlessly to the line even though he was killed several times and killed himself.
