Tried adding a feature where you have to hit a tree multiple times to cut it down.
Axe + Tree Axe + Tree (Last Use)
= And =
Axe + Tree Axe + Chopped Tree
The sound probably gets overruled by a (non existing) sound of the Axe.
It is not preferable to add the cutting sound to the Axe, because it makes a different sound when hitting different things.
It needs to work like refilling a Partial Bucket of Milk with a Bowl of Milk.
Because the resulting NewActor(Clay Bowl) has no creating sound, instead the Using sound of the Partial Bucket of Milk gets used.
Proof me wrong of provide a hack?
When creating a transition that requires hitting a tree multiple times to chop it down, I came upon this issue:
Axe + Tree
=
Axe + Tree
In this case the Tree has multiple uses before it gets cut down:
Axe + Tree (Last Use)
=
Axe + Chopped Tree
Whenever this Last Case is triggered, a.k.a the tree gets chopped down, the Axe breaks when not at 100% uses.
The breaking Axe is the General Transition of the Axe being used, but should only be triggered upon using the Last Use of the Axe, and not after a 'partial use' of the Axe when the Last Use of the Target is reached.
Proof me wrong?
Thanks for the heads up!
I knew about the walls, but didn't know about the roads.
Natural objects still grow through them resulting in some weird constructions.
Maybe the occupied space (roads and walls) shouldn't get removed by natural objects, but that is just an opinion.
Solved and closed!
A few lives ago, I saw a pretty natural state of the map with a partial road through it.
It didn't seem to lead anywhere and it was overgrown with natural objects.
This led me to the conclusion this was from an older town that disappeared.
Does anybody have similar experiences?
More things that don´t seem to work:
Putting a generic use in place where an Empty Bucket will always result in a Partial Bucket of Water (Reversed)
Workaround:
Instead of setting NewTarget as a Partial Bucket of Water (Reversed), put a dummy in place that decays into a Partial Bucket of Water (Reversed)
Solutions that didn't seem to work:
Make sure all the items in the recipe are unique by creating a copy of the Partial Bucket of Water and the Empty Bucket.
Use the flag "Last Use" on the target Empty Bucket as well.
Observations:
Changing the held item (Last Use of the Partial Bucket of Water) to an item without the "Last Use" flag (for example an Empty Bucket), will result in the Target transition being correct (a.k.a. the Reversed flag is used and a Partial bucket of Water with a single use is created)
Branch + Empty Bucket
=
Branch + Partial Bucket of Water (Reverse Use)
^this works like expected
I was modding around and tried to make a transition that enables to switch contents of buckets around.
This led me to create the transition:
Partial Bucket of Water (Last Use) + Empty Bucket
=
Empty Bucket + Partial Bucket of Water (Reverse Use)
This creates this file.
Filename: 1099_659_LA
File contents: 659 1099 0 0.000000 0.000000 0 1 0 1 0 0
The expected result is to get a bucket of water with one use on the ground.
The observed result is a bucket of water with nine uses on the ground.
This means the Reverse Use flag on the Target is ignored.
When removing the Reverse Use on the target, the observed transition in-game stays the same.
Proof me wrong?
Today I:
made photo's (Sky Dung II, they turned out pretty good)
made sure the village wall stayed up
drank fresh milk from a cow
ate tortilla chips with dip, and bread with butter.
put kerosine in an engine to pump water
dyed my clothing and saw a crown being made
And this, all in 1 life.
We all had knifes and swords, there was no stabbing (we even trusted each other with knifes pulled for a photo)
It was all unity and working together.
The game keeps amazing me some times.
Thanks Jason, thanks for developing this game.

I followed the steps written in the readme file but the textures of the pies didn't change. Can someone help me.
Find me on Discord MrXIX #7902
Can confirm.
In response to raiders, people build walled cities, but the gates aren't easy to maintain.
Neat, that one time I talked about visual differences for pies has become reality (through a mod, for now)
Do I just download it and place the files inside?
1. copy and paste files from the "new" folder
2. delete cache files
3. profit!
We can make the plate bigger, but it would stray further away from the original.
Also, making a bigger plate comes with unforeseen difficulties like the crucible.
(bigger plate -> bigger crucible -> bigger seed spacing in seed bowl ect...)
Making the plate only larger when it has pie on it, is just weird.
It might be easier to see the textures in default view, rather than zoomed out a bit, to be honest.
This screenshot is made in the vanilla client, no zoom mod.
When you color the pie it loses visibility when it starts to get eaten. Can you color the outer rim of the plate and not just the inner circle?
There are three circles, outer(green, rabbit), middle(red, carrot) and inner(blue, berry).
These represent the three different ingredients that can be put in a pie.
When all ingredients are put into the pie, the full plate is colored.
For easy management you could add a report button for each photo on the photo page, with options "abuse" and "modded".
When "abuse" reports stack up, you can start looking into banning a player. (player belongs to group 3)
When "modded" reports stack up, you can send an automatic e-mail to the player, asking for him to correct his settings. (player belongs to group 2)

Not sure what to do about this..... you didn't even use a good font.
It was more of a proof of concept, made just after release, replacing a sprite, making a joke...
Lets set a few base rules.
As far as I can see we are dealing with three groups of people here:
1. Normal users
2. Users who play with mods
3. Users that want to abuse the photo-system
From which groups do we want to see the photo's on the page?
1. Yes
2. Maybe?
3. No
Group 3 is obviously the target of the "ban-rule" but group 2 might get accidentally involved.
What if there was a "MOD" flag which can be set in settings?
That way, the front page with photo's would be all "normal photos" and you can hit the "show modded" button for pictures send by a modded client.
This would all rely on a gentleman's agreement, but wouldn't prohibit mod-users from sending photo's.
I saw this picture on Discord.
Can anybody verify these are Jasons words?
Good idea!
Plate consists of a few rings:
Orange: contains carrot
Purple: contains berries
Pink: contains rabbit
Red: contains mutton
Tiny tree mod is not released

Thank you for the inspiration
The only "weird" recipe in my opinion is the "gold in silver nitrate solution" + "bowl" -> "bowl of gold flakes" + "bowl of silver nitrate" one.
In my eyes it would require some sort of filter paper, like in the "ash niter solution".
Everything else looks neat!
So all you have to do is claim a unique, unused range of sprite numbers, which is easy.
Sure thing!
If you can name the files "rabbitpie.tga" ect, I can make sure I don't switch them up.
Find me on discord or upload the files on wetransfer.com or something like that.
These look awesome!
What are the issues? This can be packed and shipped, right?
Haha, that's indeed an early version of the mod.
Tarr helped me out testing and adding suggestions.
I'd look for somebody who is moving bones to a graveyard, and speak as one of the bones.
Make sure nobody is nearby and say something from the bones spot
Gravekeeper goes nuts
Brings the bones to the middle of the village announcing: "THESE BONES CAN TALK!"
*stay silent*
Laugh when the gravekeeper pokes you saying, "Come on! I just saw it talk!"
*wait for attention to go away and I'm alone with gravekeeper again*
Say: "Now they think you are crazy"
(fun fact: this actually happened)
