Yea sadly Jason usually listens to himself and not widespread popular opinions. But I truly does hope he expands on the end game and makes the game more enjoyable

If you want to keep the game at its “best state” everyone should have hetuw installed and new players should be introduced and told to install it right when they get the game. It not only helps you yum and zoom out. You can chat universally with all mod users and communicate effectively.

Greifing is not going to boost the playerbase buddy. The lack of content and constant restrictions is. The fact that hetuw isn’t widespread is it should be is. Every new player should install hetuw Ohol to enhance and to communicate with others and to zoom out and actually have a view screen while playing.

Since you get both gasoline and kerosene, you do not need to choose between driving around in a car or gather water to live.   You can do both!


I really liked this idea but Jason said he wanted to have a trade off and making a byproduct would eliminate the trade off so he said no to this idea. He further implied more nerfs on horses were on their way. So more limitations in the future ig. I hope this game doesn’t die off because of all the restrictions I really do love it.

The problem lies that oil, due to tap out radius is just to scarce for luxury items such as cars to be used. Since oil is not abundant and scarce it’s only ever going to be used on the well. You said yourself that you want people to trade off water for a car but water is necessary  while  a car isn’t. On top of that oil can only be gotten by a certain type of people who need to know how oil is got (aka only vets). If oil is abundant enough maybe it could be used for leisure items such as the car but for now the scarcity will never see the car used.

cars would need a different cost, running them while not using makes them really inefficient, they are still mainly a vehicle that has to carry stuff, not just memeing around with it, generally, you don't have a point B you want to get with it, since you only have cars in good cities. Point A to B is also bad, since that 10 minutes won't change the fact that you cant use the kerosene efficiently and way better to use for water.

IF there would be a different fuel, like diesel or benzene then that would be solved.

The storage space must include a tank of kero right now, that's an issue on its own, but the 4 wheels for 3 slots are really bad compared to 8 with 2 wheels.

The other issue is that people lose them. That's why I had the idea of cars only running on connected roads. You could always find them and with decent road system you could revisit locations and move items in between, that would be decent usage for it (except that people would fuck up the engines anyway).



I agree with a new fuel different from the kerosene used in wells. I think the playerbase will always see cars as a waste of kerosene because it could much rather be converted into water. But a different fuel source like the one destiny suggested would eliminate this issue immediately and incentivize the making of cars. Also the fact that after the use is done the car will still be running so maybe being able to stop the car from wasting the kerosene/ future fuel source will work very well.

Disregarding the initial concept of mine, Destiny’s idea for an expansion on oil and Peins idea for the road making vehicle sound like two amazing new changes that would change how the end game could work. Can we possibly see cars being widespread in all towns?

It is called "fractional" distillation for a reason.  The crude oil produces a variety of different products that are a fraction of the crude oil input.   The fractions at the top of the fractionating column have lower boiling points than the fractions at the bottom. All of the fractions are processed further in other refined products.

So instead of only getting a tank of kerosene, we should be getting a variety of oil-based ingredients that could each be used for special purposes.   Like we get one tank of kerosene, one tank of gasoline, one tank of diesel fuel, and a bucket of heavy oil.   The heavy oil can be used to make paraffin wax or asphalt.   The diesel fuel would run pumps and drills.  Diesel could be further refined into jet fuel for planes.   Gasoline would be used for cars.   Kerosene could power gas heaters.

And all of these products would be produced in some quantity every time you processed crude oil.   

This would encourage cars and roads, because the gasoline and heavy oil is NOT used to directly generate water.   It is a by-product of diesel fuel production.


I hope Jason sees this, these ideas are amazing and would add so much to the end game . I really hope Jason atleast considers this!

So the concept would be the same, a regular diesal car but if you deposit flat stones in the back of the vehicle it will place them in the direction the car is running.  This would make road building way less tedious and add a larger purpose for cars.

Realistically someone isn’t going to be running the car for ten minutes straight.  can you make it a way to turn the car off preserving the time of the kerosene. Then hitting it with your hand to start the timer until the kerosene runs out of its ten minutes?

Radios take hours to make... I shouldn’t be needing hours to communicate with a SELECT few people. This proves how unviable language is. Why is their a work around for a game mechanic? Because it’s not functioning correctly. Your telling me I can spend generations and climbing to the top of the tech tree to make a radio but I can’t learn another families language? Bs

I want to stress this first that it makes sense that families have different languages. HOWever it shouldn’t be impossible to learn like it is now. I haven’t seen one family learn another language since the last change to language by only increasing ten percent each generation. First this isn’t logical because adults can learn new languages and finding a kid from a different village and talking to them for six  minutes For EVery generation (10 times ) is impossible. Families usually die before this happens which kills all progress un different families interacting. Language should make sense and it shouldn’t be IMPOSSIBLE for one family to talk to another with the absence of notes. Global communication needs to be achieved without the help of notes.

"Trade" is done in horsecarts because horse-carts > cars. Why would I burn 60 water to hold less space than a rubber wheeled cart? The extra speed isn't really a value people want/need with such short distances and the only other advantage of killing snakes is useless.

The problem with high tech items are they're worse than low tech counterparts aka horse carts > planes + cars due to kerosene limitations and the ease of griefing them.


Hundred percent agree very easy to greif and not worth it. Realistically hitting the car ONCE with kero should make it run for 10-20 minutes so it’s actually useful.
