Uncle Gus had a water biome and rivers mod, so it is doable. Something like the great lakes is awesome, or you could make it an ocean where water requires desalination. It looks so good too.

The rivers could use some prettying up, but they show that irrigation and pipes should also be doable!
@Anshin Why is delaying one week such a huge deal if you still get access to onetech anyway?
Are you that impatient that you cant wait one week?
Think harder about what I already said. Or don't. Your choice.
@Anshin And now you're just being insulting instead of actually answering my question and statement
Btw im not at all against onetech but about delaying it one week after the update
You are trying to force everyone to play your way and only your way, which is knowingly insulting to everyone who doesn't want to play your way. You know exactly what you're doing and your leading questions and personal offense are tactics to play victim.
You don't have to learn from OneTech. Look away. Don't read the popup hints in game. Look away. Play on your own server and don't observe what anyone else is doing. Take as long as you please playing your way. Bring your friends too.
The key here is CHOICE. You play your way, and others play their way. I am not trying to restrict things. You are.

How is it ruining nice things for others when you get the update the next week?
Also even if i dont look at it, other people will and new recipes will be out so it doesnt solve the issue
All i'm saying is, it makes it less fun to not have new recipes be a challenge that we can all work on as a community for a week or at least a few days
You and your "stay dumb longer community" can avoid learning for as long as you like by simply not going to OneTech.
Or you could not look at it.

Ooo make babies crawl, so even if mom has to put them down they can't run like a rabbit to starve behind a tree.
I love the growth elements of the game. The baby cries and the evolving speech is brilliant!
... Along with beef, for beef stew.
We have carrots, potatoes, onions, and beef. We even have salt to add!
But we can't slaughter cows or grow onions. So sad.
Yellow dye would be HARD. Onion skins are a viable option, but by the time the towns are at wool the onions would be eaten...
Onions should be farmable.
Currently each bucket of paint has one use. If you give it two, we could use the half buckets to mix colors.
Full Bucket of Red Paint + Empty Bucket = Half Bucket of Red Paint + Half bucket of Red Paint
Half Bucket of Red Paint + Half bucket of Blue Paint = Bucket of Purple Paint + Empty Bucket
Yes a flint chip would totally cut open a properly ripe mango, then you eat it with your hands.
Much like an avocado when it is properly ripe you can peel it with your hands.
You would just score the skin with the flint first. It is supposed to be soft and dripping juicy. Mmmmmmm... Yum!
Depending on who you ask, you wouldn't even need the flint!

Pein, I think the problem there is that if you are playing a twins game with someone and you die under 30 (so not subject to lineage ban) then you should always spawn back to where your twin is. You wanted to play together and the game should let you. That would also give some balance for the mom in the decision to keep twins. Maybe they're trolls (if they are shoot them so they can't come back) or helpful with the bonus that they do respawn if one dies.
Also with the growth of the community I'd love to see how long we can actually keep a lineage going without the need for outside coordination. I think we're generally teetering around upper twenties to high thirties for how long a lineage lasts daily.
Yes, you're right. Sustainability must be the most important thing.
We need deeper mining abilities. At the moment iron is the limiting reagent on how long a city can last.
After that it's water. It would be nice to have a higher tech where we can dig wells deep enough to reach the water table so they refill faster and stop running dry.
Oh Morti, I wish I could PM you. I would love to talk in Discord. If you ever join, please seek me out.
I was there. It was so underwhelming. I hope in the future we get some fun biblical tier plagues.
I do think we should be able to eventually build tech up to causing Nuclear Winter.
My last life ended in surprise bear attack. I think the ocasional "ACK! HEART ATTACK!!!" is more realistic... and it is supposed to be shocking and upsetting. Just like real life.
I'd like to see some random death rolls. Real life top three causes of death are:
- cardio vascular disease AKA embolisms AKA heart attack & stroke
- cancer
- accidents
We have plenty of accidental deaths in the game.
Embolisms could just strike you down suddenly with the simple death cause message telling you why.
Cancer could manifest as you getting slower and slower. The screen could occasionally flash red with pain and your energy bar permanently loosing a pip. This continues until you die.
I believe this fits the emotion of the game; Teaching respect for life and how we manage it.
^ Ah. Makes sense. Thanks! The two bonus minutes must have been from the menu screens.
Agreed OP.
It would also be nice if the Steam page linked to https://onetech.info since it is so essential to learning crafting in the game.
Aw it's gone.
Mine had to wait for all my other Steam games to update first in the queue, so that might be whats causing the delay. Downloading itself was fast.
I was able to unlock and play the game without any issues. The only very minor issue is that I played the tutorial, broke out and freed people until I died at sixty. Then I was reborn and played until 20 when I was eaten by a surprise bear (PLEASE DOUBLE THE DEFAULT VIEW DISTANCE!!!) and Steam has it logged as total playing time = 68 minutes, when it should be 80.
MENDELIAN GENETICS.
Which means involving men in reproduction.
How to implement it is more interesting. Perhaps make it so the females choose their mate (to avoid nagging and rape scenarios).
Mate selection could simply happen at any time where the female selects someone from a list of fertile men nearby. His face could show in a corner of the screen so she knows she has chosen someone and what he looks like. If no one is chosen the next baby has a father selected at random so that player spawn in is not disrupted.
How to avoid incest? It's simple hard times, generally you don't. Last names should be matriarchal so that there isn't an incentive to choose for incest "to keep the name alive". I suggest having more Eves pop up near home markers assigned to living people to widen the gene pool.
Trait ideas: hair style, hair color, beard style, eye style, eye color, mouth style, skin color, skin style (freckles), size (x% sprite size), ... any other suggestions?

Meghan: Hopefully soon. Keep waiting...
