When we got there, we found an established camp with no completed property fence. They were not friendly to strangers and even though we left someone tracked us and killed my mother with a knife.

My brother and I continued our journey heading east, but I lost him along the way. Eventually I found an enclosed camp in the SE corner with two owned gates, one north (Otto Drugan) and one east (Eve Dash). There was an Eve outside but no sign of life inside. I wandered around a bit eating berries, eventually finding myself back at the north gate.

That's when a cousin showed up. He stood aside from the gate and must have rang the doorbell because a couple of the occupants showed up. I stayed out but got stabbed anyway. My cousin went in and was accepted. He said he would avenge me, but I knew he was a liar.

So next life I'm born a boy and I'm inside this building and my mother is Otto Drugan! http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … id=5146532 Wow I'm inside now. That wasn't so hard.
She picks me up and asks me if I know how to /die. Then she dumps me on the other side of the north gate and closes it. My cousin from my Alon life is still inside and doing whatever but not revenging of course.

Now I'm born again, this time to Eve Dasher! She takes me up to the north gate and then Eve Cata kills me. http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … id=5146544

Is this the new normal? Is this the griefer HQ for the new Arc?

They are just griefers. Born inside towns as babies, and then steal stuff and put in their property. They don't feed babies who arent in their discord. When they are bored they chop all trees and come to forum ask help to end the arc. They are just garbage, the slags of ohol, I call them "pro-griefers party mod players"

IMHO if they want to play among friends and starve/kill everyone else, why don’t play in a private server, it will be a win-win, they can play among friends an make the utopia they wanted to, while common players would play normally without the frustration of being born to the same mother who doesn’t feed approved babies or being killed because you are walking nearby their utopia.

I was just exploring the map, going to the corners and whatnot.
Then, in another life I was born near the NW corner, and it was completely different, the map was totally different, my old village was very near the western border, but now there is nothing there. In the first map there were a lot of bears, in the second one I couldn't see a single one. I thought it might be a different server, but I didn't change any config. I just died in one map and spawned in another one seconds after, and there were a lot of abandoned small Eve camps and property fences in both of them.

I decided to explore it again, could see a bunch of Eves, small camps a lot of natural resources. I went corner by corner, taking screenshots to compare next life, and then I found

I thougth it might be a reward, because I was low on lives, I lose exatcly 9 lives because of discord people, they made a fenced village, multicultural, there were a bunch of people there, but they only chat in discord. They starve every single kid who isn't in their discord, so I kept being born there because there were some womans and the fences were really big. I didn't /die, because if it will hurt my score, it will hurt theirs as well.

Officially, the richest town I've ever seen. Planes inside the rift, planes outside the rift, pies, trees, buildings, radios, blank papers, no signs of griefing, I borrowed a plane and explored a little bit and this maps looked like the paradise, when I was very old, fifty five, I took a paper to communicate with people, when an old Eve told me "How the fuck can I understand you?", I thougth the same, then Taco Lady and Radio boy told us it's not main server, it was the server 1 and there people can understand each other, altough usually there are only 3 people playing there, but today there were more than twenty, they didn't understand it as well.

5duw6Wn.jpg

But it feels so good, they did a good job there, there were birds singing, no fences, no locked buildings. If there is a curse score, there would be a bless score, so they could be sent to this heaven when they die.

Next life I spawned in hell server 2 again.

So, if I didn’t like changes, I wouldn’t buy the game. If you want a refund, go ahead, but you aren’t the community’s spokesman, speak just for yourself.

It's not nice to play when griefers keeping spawning as Eves to kill people, chopping trees, blocking buildings.
There are some guys on Discord who are griefing because they think they are helping people, because if they grief the map will reset.
But they aren't, they are just making the game worse.

They think if they keep killing people, wiping towns or even sabotaging towns by blocking buildings, hiding steel, breaking tools, chopping trees, people will simply keep playing spawning as Eves and raise the family count to 32, but they wont, people will just stop playing because it's not funny to be griefed.

I've never made a radio because it's really hard (for me), but some guy made two radios, transmiter and receiver, he put those radios in a town, so people could talk and listen, it was very funny, people really enjoyed, they were around the radio talking some bs, but they were having fun. Then griefers locked those two radios in a building, they blocked 8 steel ingots there as well. They locked even flat stones, so people couldn't complete big roads, they locked diesel engines, they put diesel engine in wells near each other to make them useless to get iron, locked horses inside building too.

Who wants to play with people like that? Players spend hours making cool stuff, farming trees and then griefers destroys and lock everything without punishment just to "help people because it will reset the map", those bastards killed all mouflons.

The problem isn't the updates.
The problem isn't the rift.
The problem isn't resources.
The problem is the power people have to destroy everything.
The problem is the discord people who laugh while they destroy our fun.

QuZkgOM.jpg

They literally made a post here asking people to help them griefing.

We should be able to break anything, even ancient walls, of course it might need more people, elders (like fence removal), high tech tools.

Trees should grow without anyone planting them, like in real life. Also, chopping any tree or breaking any wall should consume food bars.

We should be able to remove well engines.

The game is good, updates are going well, the problem are experienced griefers, "pro griefers", they have too many weapons to destroy hours of hard work in some minutes. But I'm sure, once we have power enough to reverse their griefing, we will be gutti.

Currently people are quiting because it is really frustanting to be griefed every single life, we don't keep playing and live somewhere else, we just quit for some days, griefing wont help reset. We have tons of iron, ropes, clothes, tools, horses, radios, everything even one week after the reset, towns are richer than before the rift. Look this screenshot I took yesterday:

LINZZ3S.png
n5kIzIC.jpg

Griefers keep destryoing it to have the excuse "Oh, I'm griefing to wipe the map because we don't have resources, it's understandable, isn't it?", no, we have resources, but you are sabotaging them and killing people who are working to have even more resources, then those people quit playing.

Exactly, and now he makes a post saying that he and his friends will spawn as Eves to kill everyone and grief the map to “help” people (Of course naked Eves killing people who are just playing their games and having fun helps a lot).  They can’t get curses, they can’t get banned and they can respawn whey they die.

The worse thing is that people actually do that, years ago I was in my cousin’s house, she had a baby. I decided to make a Nescau cup, but instead of taking the milk box, I took a glass of milk in the fridge “Someone gave up of drinking milk, let’s drink it before it spoils”, and I mixed chocolate with that milk, then I drunk the milk seconds before spitting it.

She had milked herself so her husband could feed the baby while she was out (I don’t even know if it’s safe), but I mixed it with Nescau.

#137 Re: Main Forum » Tomorrow will be the end of the Arc » 2019-08-10 03:18:54

Sounds awful. Griefing for your own enjoyment.
So cool, “Let’s play in party mode and kill everyone to show them we can trigger the apocalypse, because we are the party mode guys”.

I bet the same people who are planing kill people tomorrow are the same people who are griefing engines, chopping trees, hiding steel.

We have junipers, good players planted them inside towns and outside towns, while griefers were chopping them. We have iron, water, milkweed, the server is playable, to be honest the rift is so rich.

Those people who play in party mode are ruining the game. They stay in discord, born in different families, steal horses full of tools, iron and then lock everything inside a property, giving access to their friends in discord, while starving their babies. They also plan “raids” and wipe civilizations for fun, when they get bored they decide to chop all trees and kill everyone to show “their power”, the worse part is that they really have power, they can ruin the fun a lot of people in some minutes, they can send innocent people to donkey town if they feel like doing.

There is hope, there are junipers and it’s easy to farm them. If people join together to plant more junipers instead of chopping them, the server would be better.

I hope those pro-griefers who ruin the fun of others for their on pleasure, pretending they are doing something good by griefing, get banned.

Look, just born in a semi-fenced village, a lot of tools as well, seven days after the reset.
n5kIzIC.jpg
Steel stays untouched cuz no one uses them, they don't need to, so many tools.

We need more tech things to do, because we are rich we did everything in seven days. Planes, cars, engines, radios (transmiter and receive in the same towns, in two towns, so people can speak and listen), people are just letting lassos on the ground, because we are not even using that much rope anymore.

Even with people chopping junipers, villages have fire, they are just farming more trees.

Edit:
Got bit by a bear and born in another town with more tools:

theres like only 2 to 3 regios with significant activity in them, and they flow over with shitty cloth.
somehow people managed to not run out of milkweed as fast as i hoped.

so, this is what a dead game state looks like eh.

its obvious that the rift is dumb gameplay wise, and not at al needed to see what resources are how/too rare.
people who play this game a lot already knew this 3 months before the rift was added as torture, under a dumb pretense for balancing.

You are lying or you didn't play in a town.
Because there are more steel than we can use, there are five of each tool in a same town, more clothes than players, milkweed really isn't  the problem. Talking about resources, the rift is very rich.

Griefers keep chopping trees, hidding iron, destroying engines (making cars, double engined wells), even so people keep farming more junipers, making more engines, getting more iron. Look this screenshot, I just took it in a non-fenced town:

LINZZ3S.png

It doesn't seem "almost non-existent", it's one of the richest towns I've ever seen, and it's just one small non-fenced village, there are more towns with more steel and tools, no needs for crying.

This is only for a short amount of time, You were just lucky you logged in when someone made an iron drop.

Well, I played a lot today and there were a lot of iron in towns, there is a town near western rift that have two piles of steel, put people dont even touch it because there are dozens of tools, someone is trying to grief hiding stuff and chopping trees to reset the world, but resources are not the problem actually, we have more iron, tools, water than before the rift, milkweed farms, ropes  everywhere.

The problem isn't the resources, but the humans, it's like The Walking Dead, there are food and places to farm, the problem is humans killing before they get killed or stealing resources even when they don't need, just to don't have risk of their neighbours being more rich and end up killing them.

An Eve can easily find a dead town with firebow, berry farm, even tools but soon or later someone will go there and kill everyone.

I don’t think it’s stealing if the owner is literally dead and the equipment is abandoned in the middle of a mountain.
I think it’s better to use and then take it back home, I know people might steals at inside your town but it’s better than let it alone in the middle of the wild.

Anyone who sees this engine for sure will take it near their home before somebody else does.

In real life when someone go mining, they don’t let their tools and go home to die of old age, they bring their stuff back. I think it’s better to do this in game as well, no way no one will touch it, someone literally chopped 95% or juniper trees, they want to grief to reset the server, so I suppose they don’t want iron as well.

#145 Re: Main Forum » Better organization on a more limited world » 2019-08-09 01:03:50

What if we had furniture to store big amounts of stuff.
Wardrobes and whatnot, but those furnitures must be inside a building otherwise they will decay.
It would estimulante more buildings inside a town and more room to store food, tools, clothing and etc.

Last life I lived in a town so crowded, four boxes full of clothing and even with that we had to put some clothing and tools outside the fence.
We need more room for big items such as tools and clothing.

After slot boxes, players learnt how to organize small items. Carrots, corn, pies, knives and whatnot. But we need wardrobes for big items as well.

#146 Re: Main Forum » Can we just all agree to end it all » 2019-08-09 00:51:44

Actually I spawned as an Eve (Eve Villas) and found a dead town with tons of iron, three piles to be honest, I don’t know why it was abandoned, there were lots of food, clothing, one rádio (now two because I stole another from a dead town), probably it was where people were hiding the iron or someone found the engine to mine it quickly.

I’ve lived in multicultural towns and when two families live together, it’s quite easy to have 2, 3 or even ten babies born within 5 minutes, it’s only hard to find two 55 people from different families when they weren’t born in the same town or when actually it’s not a multicultural town, one guy is just a wanderer who found a town and decided to live there. In this case, I don’t think he has the right to decide if his family that doesn’t even know about the existence of the other will have peace or not.

Anyway, 50 years old should be ok if they speak the  same length age after generations living together.

A Methodology to solve the problem
Find the measurable differences that a griefer player has to a caregiver player.
Then add futures based on those differences to balance the game effectively affecting only the griefers.

I ask for Brainstorming here / any data as well would help

I don't have data but:

-I would be somewhat sure that griefers have lower fitness score that the average player.

-They would probably have been cursed more as well

Balancing based on differences

-implement miss chance based on score.
-if you miss you still get slowed and your weapon on cooldown.

analyzing leaderboards score I observed ( https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ … sp=sharing )
average score ~20-22 (depending on days)
min of the top 10% : 39
min of the top 20% : 34
min of the top 30% : 30
Max of botom 20% : 8.6

distributing the miss chance exponentially from the average score (20 score) to the lowest (0 score) and giving 0% miss chance to the top 10% (39 score) would be like this:

x-axis =score
Y-axis = miss chance
https://www.desmos.com/calculator/a4k5vrog38

Possible Effects
-Griefer would not be able to kill if he keeps ruining the lives of his genes
-Anyone would think twice before being aggressive and prefer communication instead
-Killing will happen only for survival and not for entertainment
-If you want to be sure you want to kill someone you better tell the village about him to help you.

I don’t think basing in score right now is good, it’s an unfair system.
I’ve been abandoned more than times than I can count last week, more than 30 for sure, principally when I’m born from an Eve or someone making big roads, they simply don’t care about babies.

If I play few times a week, 5 or 7 times, my score will increas for sure. But generally I live 20-30 lives, what means I get area banned from good places in first lives and then it’s pure abandonment garbage, I’ve already been abandoned 7 times in a row until I became an Eve and couldn’t find a place to raise my babies.

What I think would be a good idea are armors, so when we are wearing an armor we have some chances of avoiding shots and stabbings.

Welp, I don’t think the current score system is fair, unless you play few lives a day.
