After a long day of school, running around and studying, I just wanted to relax and play a little OHOL. I wanted to build and try some ideas I had, so a made myself a custom game.

I typed everything in and started to play. Spawning as Eve, I run around, looking for a place to settle down. Then my first son was born. I was surprised. Wasn't I alone on this server ? I didn't think of it much, maybe another player had had the same idea as me, until my daughter was born. I think I didn't click right and was on the regular server with everyone.

So I named myself Fitzgerald and gave a name to my daughter who went afk. I kept her and her siblings fed while starting a forge and other stuff. It was a great spot and my children were very helpful.

Delila (Deliah actually) was still in her coma when she got her first baby girl but recovered minutes after her birth, amazed still being alive.

After turning grey, I went off searching for more reeds to make more baskets. While cutting it, I saw a boar running around, at least 5 tiles away from me. But somehow, that darn animal teleported to my tile and attacked me.

I died while still cursing the teleportation boar. My chances of returning to this place one day were gone.

So I got reborn as a boy and as I checked the name of my mother, I got surprised for the second time. It was my daughter, Delila Fitzgerald. I had a good giggle and couldn't believe I was reborn in my town as Mister Fitzgerald.

Spend my life gathering firewood, pies that I forgot to cook, cleaning and starting a pen. I saw my kids and grandchildren get old. I got to see the birth of the last Fitzgerald girl, Hope Fitzgerald.

As I got near to death, I saw another girl running to the forge. "How nice, there was still a girl alive!", I thought but was proved wrong. The girl was an Eve, Eve Willow I believe, that just spawned.

I had to laugh.

This life was surely full of surprises.

Thats not really the objective of one hour one life, the quest thing seems more like starve.io to me... but if you just want to make your own quests I have a few ideas:
1) Winter farm. Clothes make this easier. You probably can't expect a lineage from a winter farm but as a lone male would be good challenge. The idea is: winter patch with green, orange, blue biomes around it. Get materials from the other biomes but try to live in the winter biome.
2) Olympics. Make lots of games. Penguin racing speaks for itself but rockball needs more explaining. the idea is, its like basketball. you have to get the rock into your basket (actual straw baskets on either side) but you're stuck in the middle. you can hold the ball but you can't run with it. (I don't know basketball ok? I don't know the rules so if I'm wrong forgive me) You have to put the rock on the tile in front or behind you and then its a race between you and the other player to pick it up. Side note: I didn't make this game. Credits go to many other people who have played it with me. I think one of them was a man named Steve. Thanks Steve.
Another game could be hide and seek. Works in tree biomes. To make it easier for the seekers people have to move from the trees when they get hungry. Kids get hungry more often so works best with kids. Another tree game is spies where you hide behind trees near town and listen in on everyone's conversations.
3) Bear hunter. In a town make a 3x3 wood panel square, try to cover it completely with bear skins. Another one is throne builder, where you try to make the best monument someone can stand in, i.e. bear on stone floor with mother graves all round and a sign saying our mother our protector. Still another one in this category is scribe. Try to write as many documents as you can. Compile them into a book, lock them in a chest, give the key to your most trusted.
4) Yum. Get as high a yum bonus as you can. Mine was Yum x15 and I will beat anyone who yumraces against me.
5) Livestock. One dog, one pig, one goose, one cow, one sheep, five separate pens. Bonus points for signs saying "cow" "sheep" etc.
6) One hundred baskets, go!
7) Trap a bear in a fenced pen. Not only is this a challenge, it would also be very helpful to the town... Well... maybe a stone walled pen, if you were willing to pen yourself in to save your town. Like, when you were very old and had given away your clothes.
8) MUSHROOM FARM! Someone has already done this challenge, and it resulted in a very high aftermath. smile
9) Convince eight people to curse someone random. If you are of a strong moral compass, convince them to curse a murderer or dog breeder or someone.
10) Make a sign with every letter of the alphabet.
*******************************************
I double dare you to do every one of these, and to post the pictures on forum!

DEAL ! Now I just have to figure out how to make screenshots xD

What do I get when I complete all those challenges :]

Quest sounds fun ^^

That would be also a great idea for new players!

You are tired of always doing the same job every life or you don't know what to do ? You have one or two new players who are begging for jobs ? Be their Quest Master !

Give them an objective, a task that they must fulfill in order to get a little reward. They managed to make a fire on their own ? Reward them with their very own berry bowl, saying "I belong to [Name of new player]". They hunted down three rabbits ? Give them their very first pants !

I had a son once, who was always asking me for something to do. Once he was old enough to work, he was asking for a job. I told him to help Granny, who asked him to gather some kindling for the forge. And so he did. After like 10 minutes, he came back and said "Alright I'm done, what can I do now ?"

I told him to go hunt rabbits and he asked "How many ?" "As many as possible" was my answer and once he had like ten rabbits, he came back to me and asked "What can I do now ?". Once he thought, that he had finished a job, he wanted a new one and I gave him new stuff to do. Cook the Rabbits and then eggs. Tend the berries etc.

He was so sweet and it was somehow cute to see how he didn't know that you can do one job your whole life ^^

Also can we have challenges ?

For example

Every two weeks we will have a challenge :

- Build the most beautiful cemetery, garden, medic station or bakery. You can have teams and meat up in discord. Post your screenshot then in the forum, with your name or the name of your group and everyone can vote which building was the best.

- Who can have the highest Yum Bonus in a busy city or a small town in one hour ? Screenshot of the number just before you die.

- When born in town X, find the Lonely Goose in a pen using the clues around the town.

I don't know, I just like the idea and sound like fun ^^

I'll definitely will try to be a quest master in my next life :]

Even if you assign people with jobs, they tend to do something else or nothing at all. Every baby that comes to me, asking for a job and receiving a task, tends to not do it or when they do it, only for five minutes and become idle.

I think what would be nice is to have an option how you want to start your next life :

o As an Eve

o As a baby of an Eve

o As a baby in an "advance" generation ( in a family that is at generation 6 for example)

Where you spawn as an Eve or as a baby will stay random but at least you will have an option. This would give the opportunity for those who prefer to play as an Eve or an Eve child and don't need to suicide 10 times.

Idk it's just an idea ^^

Well ... Just spawned there with four other Eves big_smile That was deffinetly enough to reactivate that place !

At least the zombie goose is still there! Hahaha

/sad

A human zoo sounds exciting big_smile

The city that I loved so much is now a shadow of itself. It took me four lives to rebuild the garden and now it is beyond saving ... boxes at every entrance of each room, cut trees and clutter everywhere.

It will take hours to clear up that mess. But I think that city had her glorious days and it's now time to just put her down and restart a new amazing place!

Wish we could take our zombie goose with us to the new city ^^

Well I think that she should have talked to her before she stabbed her.

Just because someone is doing something that you don't like, doesn't mean they should be stabbed without explaining your point of view.

Some of your children survived, I was Katie Norse and had three beautiful children wink

When I came back as Bobby Black, someone had cut all of the trees of the beautiful garden. It took me and another person two life times to replant it ! I hope the next generation took care of the trees that we planted ! I would be devastated if this place got destroyed again sad

I don't remember who said it and I might butcher his/her words but someone once wrote, that after every bad life waits your favorite one. And I agree if you let it happen.

I was born a girl to the West Family and had a quiet, normal (almost boring) life. I found an apron and later a knife that I used to kill some sheep that we had too many of. Made a cart and spend most of my time carrying mutton meat to the bakery.

Then one girl, Ophelia West, started to run around with bow and arrow, way to often close to me. I had the feeling that she was targeting me. But I didn't wanted to kill her without having someone to back me up. So after bringing the meat to the baker, I went to see Danny West, the shepherd, who I trusted. Unfortunately, right as I was going to tell him my plan, I got shot. I had the only knife, no one could heal me.

Everyone was standing around us, in shock, and only started to curse that girl after I cursed her and told the people to kill her with my knife.

I was boiling with rage. Not only was I angry at this girl but at myself as well. How did I not see her come to me ? Why do I always need to have someone on my side instead of trusting my guts and kill the person ? Why me ?

Frustrated and still mad, I started my new life in the North Family. I wasn't motivated to live this new life and wanted to end it. As my mother hold me in her arms, I realized that I was getting way too upset for a small thing.

Yes, she killed me, but only me. I wasn't the last female and everyone saw her shooting me. She could have killed way more people but decided to kill only one and for that, she got killed and got at least three curses.

So I stopped, breathed and told myself that my anger shouldn't effect my new life. Even my mother wanted me to stay. So I decided to work at the Bakery, a nice quiet place to calm down.

And it worked. My mother trusted me her knife and I made lots of bread, learned how to make butter on my own, enjoyed the sight of our zombie goose and had a nice chat with the towns people.

Towards the end of my life, I made paper for our lovely garden, a bit north from the bakery. There, we decided to bury our people who were special to us. I wanted to make for every grave a little note but only managed to make one for Randal North before I passed away.

I felt sad to leave this town. But happy. My past life didn't seem that important anymore.

I'm glad to have lived as Stefan North.

You could simmer the water in a crock pot and that would be used as a bathtub!

Add some carrots, onions, corn and a pinch of salt, let it simmer for five minutes and your kid is ready to be served.

I think this has been spoken quiet often, nevertheless I'd like to add something to it.

I had a life where someone had build wooden chests just in front of every entrance of the bakery and died in that room. We couldn't tear down some walls because they were ancient walls, so the big beautiful bakery with all those pies, plates and bowls is now useless.

It would be great to be able to tear down ancient walls or at least move wooden chests.

Maybe a strong, young and handsome man could come with his big muscles and carry them two tiles away ?

Pretty please ?

That reminds me of a story where one boy was killed because he was "using too many bowls and spamming z too often". What they didn't know was that a woman was running around saying "Those who want job say z". The poor little boy was running around, with his bowl of berries and said "z" in order to get something to do.

He got killed, never got the chance of explaining himself. they didn't wanted to listen to a "griefer" or so they called him ^^

Please don't make a fast road next to any kind or farm ... berry, corn, carrot etc farm ... it's so unpractical.
