Dont know about the name of the town but, the fence was built over a huge uncompleted kitchen.
It was the time before all the big trees taken down.
why so complex? cause you calculate tool usage and stuff?
Send me a message in OHOL discord group and I will explain to you everything, you will find me as miskas.
miskas, how many functions you use for that table?
for the Pivot Table, nearly none, I used like 1-2 for formating collum B and the Yum section.
http://prntscr.com/s3jydr
for the Data of worksheet, nearly All are function.

Even if the village has a variety of foods some players and especially farmers don't go to the kitchen to eat different foods but they eat their crops.
We Essentially have to eat a food type more than once only in time of emergency. So eating 6 carrots is a big thing.
Coconut Fruit you are right about butter, I removed it from skim milk and I added skim milk food output and cost to the buttered bread as you cant have buttered bread without skim milk.
looking at the -5 eat cost food output and efficiency It is clear that any village that is not Yumming is gonna die fast.
From previous measurements,
Any Food that
has lower than 27 food efficiency or his fed duration is not double the time that you need to prepare the food,
IS Bad food source.
(27 food/water efficiency was our operational food efficiency before the food updates).
Thus Yumming is the No1 rule that every villager needs to abide by.
So the question is, How are we supposed to Force our villagers to YUM?
Do we teach them and really on that they will learn with time?
and if they don't?
Do we make fenced food storage for people we know they yum?
How do we know if people are Yumming?
if you are a mom and a veteran who know to make YUM FOODS you should try it.
Produce as many as more of yam foods you can and storage some of them for your kids.
teach them about Yuming and how to eat.
Scavenge unused/forgotten clothes from around the village.
Don't be an ass, give food to those who ring your door even if they are not your genes. Then ask them to help you if they want.
PS: Add 1 kind of every animal so None can grief your village sheep pen.
LOL pein did you draw that by hand?
I just saw the numbers of Yamming efficiency and declared Monodiet's Death, I am full-on Yam now even early game. Just don't do crap foods.
(put yum efficiency in comparison to see for yourself. it is no the right of that table)
.
read my instructions, you have to go to "food worksheet" and fluctuate the bonus from 0 to -5 to see how the efficiency changes through generations.
Efficiency is based on mono-diet. Looking at the far right of the "food Stats" tab you will see I have also calculated YUM efficiency.
Hi guys, you can use this
go to "food worksheet" and fluctuate the bonus from 0 to -5 to see how the efficiency changes through generations.
To check the numbers are right you can compare them for my personal sheet that only me can edit.the tab that visualises the stats is "food stats"
Long story short The yammming even low unefficient foods is one of the best options and the later you go on the generation it Becomes the BEST option!
What would the upgrade be there?
People have talked about a stove or whatever, but how would it be better than hot coals?
An item that can cook both carnitas and pies and omelets. Basically an item that will include 3 ways of cooking in 1
Pein! retake that screenshot just saw I had put goose only one bite. See it's new efficiency
I dont get what you want me to do with tablesorter btw.
I remember your death/birth table I had bookmark it as well.

Everything you mention + /fam, property doorbell, Orders with arrow markers to find people, special biomes waystones, Yum is now the most efficient and mandatory for survival
I like the property very much and I have made and actually Use a ton of them. ( for clothes, food , resource management, and animal breed storage)
The only fence I don't like is the city fences and I will explain the difference.
The bigger enemies of a family's survival are the griefers and the noobs. The griefers harm us through destruction and the noobs harm us through mismanagement.
They both are born into OUR family, If you make a property/storage of anything and give it to all your family(city fence) you essentially did nothing or in fact, you did worse because now you also have worsened the logistics of gatherers.
The advantage of a property is not that you will have a trustworthy person to manage something. It is really difficult and time-consuming to find such a person in the first place.
The advantage of a property is that you prevent access to the majority of the players. Cause even if you have only 1 bad player in your family, this bad player can eat up all the carrots or kill all the sheep.
Don't try to find a trustworthy person but try to find one person that is not this noob or griefer of your family and you will be fine.
-don't pick a kid, adults are coming with a proof that they managed to live past childhood.
-don't pick someone that eats more that 1 carrot or berries.
-pick someone with clothes
-don't look much, time is money or in our case time is food!
-(optional) dont pick a female, males have more free time to dedicate on work and property maintenance.
Don't underestimate males, they can be much more productive than females. I love being a male in this game and fortunately I don't need to be a father.
I always pray to be male! or an infertile female
was this the carrot fence you saw ? https://onehouronelife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=9459
or other people do that now as well?
I didn't start with an eve camp I took my child and looked for a nearby camp.
I abandoned some bbs on the road but found a wealthy abandoned deep well village.
My two daughters were fully clothed now and had a ton of food.
We were still nomads and could give birth to bbs.
I told them that I will use the rubber horse cart of the village to start 2 new veins for us and a homeland.
I also told them to stay safe in the village until reach back home.
Time passed, I looked North, East, West and finally South. There I found 2 iron veins like 100 tiles away from the village. I marked our Homeland and brought back iron.
When I returned with Iron. to announce them the news none of my 5 family members were in the village -_- 1 minute later one daughter also died "facepalm"
I used my Orders to tell them the news but I am not sure if it even matters what I am saying to them.
What would you do if you were my Daughters?
Do you guys prefer the Eve life so much that you rather die for it?
Yumming is the way to go, if someone doesn't yum, they surely won't enjoy this change.
Last life at about 20yo I already had full food bar and +40 bonus pips. Foods give less pips and that means you can eat more foods at once and that results in more + pips from yum bonus.
Ironically this change made that yummers have to eat less frequently... Just wait to a point when you are starving then eat many yum foods at once, you will have lots of time without eating, so you can be productive at that time.
It is already proven that Milk is twice as better than the best yamming
look at this.
https://onehouronelife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=9378
People just didn't adapt yet. More and more people will realize that yamming is the way to go, and it will get only better.
You are wrong Sir!
Milk is the way to go.
Even now with the 0.5 factor. Milk is twice better than yamming
https://onehouronelife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=9378
yeah But it is not only that,
Try Skim milk in game it gives you 4 pips
Skim milk had 6 pips.
why does it have 4 now and not 3 ?!
I loved this outpost BTW, especially the cow farm factory!
Tar I pimped your Outpost with a Carrot warehouse as well
old skim milk had values of 6 now it has 4, Even with round up it had to be 3 right?
Or the skim milk value wasn't 6 in the first place.
How does the 0.5-factor work and on what initial values is calculated,
Maybe I would do this, but I'm scared some people would curse me for "hiding everyone's stuff".
You are not hiding anything you create berry/carrot bowls for them and you store them next to the composting area in accessible for them Storage boxes.
The only staff you prevent them to use is Carrots , and they have NO wise reason to need carrots if berry/carrot bowls are available.
if you think you will have problems, just pass ownership to your family right away or whoever asks for it.
The warehouse works as a messaging for noobs and as a deterrent to their impulsive habits.
this was my way of doing it.
Carrot storage next to the compost area with room for:
-Bowls of Berries and Carrot
-Bowls wheat
-Straw
-buckets of dong
-carrot seeds
Also
-bait bugs
-and anything else you find useful to store there.
How to:
- Create a fence near the composting area (a 4x6 holds max 42 carrots cause you need 1 tile as a workspace to mash berry-carrot bowls)
- If town has many unused boxes gather them with a Long Straight Shaft
- Don't use Slotted boxes on the fence as people later might use them to store carrots thus make them available to Noobs again.
- Gather all the carrots of the village inside and their seeds to create a monopoly and control their use.
- Use My family owns this to pass-through fence before you die, many noobs don't know to open gates and it will still work as deterrent.
The job description of Warehouse keeper:
- you gather ALL the carrots and you make sure the village has seeds
- you transform all the carrots into bowls of mashed berry-carrot
- collect A bucket dung and store it in a box with a shovel
- store wheat and straw
Why make yum foods? random Yaming is as efficient as mutton pies and Yaming of the best foods is worse than milk.
The best you can do about food is to make buckets and milk.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ … 6&range=O3
But on the point, I don't see any reason to care really for long term issues currently. After you and your Genes have enough to survive, why make more iron, more water, why to care about a family or a city in general?
I find myself making milk, order the city, scavenge resources from abandoned areas/cities. But I also find myself doing it out of boredom not because it is rewarding or I have a goal to achieve.
