#151 Re: Main Forum » Couldn't feed domestic calf » 2019-01-31 17:07:52

I'm playing vanilla because I'm too lazy to download a zoom mod. I'm standing right next to them when it happens.

#152 Re: Main Forum » Couldn't feed domestic calf » 2019-01-31 13:05:05

I was there too and tried to feed the calf as well and the same thing happened. It never separated, just disappeared.

The bison was already there in a berry corner pen so I wasn't going to mess with the sheep pen to break it out since that would only release all the sheep and then there'd be fun!(tm)

I just gave up. Something is weird lately and I can't put my finger on it. Animations aren't completing to the final form, like with rabbits finally keeling over. Only when you finally give up and interact does the rabbit finally show that it's dead. This is happening on the bigservers as well as sparsely populated servers and it wasn't happening before this current update.

#153 Re: Main Forum » More Storage Tech » 2019-01-27 01:02:42

It's a water pouch. I think people are asking for more dry storage. Some seeds, like the three sisters, can be stacked, but not milkweed and carrot.

Props to you Jason for pushing a weekend bugfix/update. I know your personal time is important and I wholeheartedly support the line you've drawn for yourself. So, a big hearty thank-you. You didn't have to, but you did.

#155 Re: Main Forum » New Players Bad for Villages? » 2019-01-18 18:55:50

Quick Story:
One of my older Uncles or cousins asked me to give him one of my children this past week so that they could learn how to take over as head composter when he eventually passed away and I happily obliged. While the child was still in my arms we went over the basics of composting. I narrated while he performed the actions. By the end of it, we had a champion compster! This was by far the most rewarding teaching experiences, even though it took two of us, because it was so fast and efficient and the adults all could dodge out as needed to eat without confusing the kid. I was even able to teach pies to the next child before passing my backpack off to Beth, my wonderful daughter, before my death from old age.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I want that copper pot component for cooking a new type of stew.

#157 Re: News » Update: Apocalypse 2.0 » 2019-01-07 13:07:33

Now that server 14 successfully enacted the Apocalypse, the bell tower listings for it are no longer valid. Is it possible to maybe grey out the text or otherwise let players know that the bell towers have been destroyed while still preserving their record?

#158 Re: Main Forum » Anyone started the apocalypse yet? » 2019-01-04 18:57:58

Quick question: Will the Bell Tower page containing all the coordinates and names be reset if the Apocalypse is activated on a particular server?

#159 Re: Main Forum » all hail the snowmen! » 2019-01-03 22:21:17

I remember the lovely three snowmen you placed, Antking!  It was a great and clever idea. I was the old lady who said she was melting. Too bad about the bear. I'd tried to lead it away a while before, but that's such a dangerous proposition I gave up on it once I started having children.

#160 Re: Bug Discussion » Pickaxe broke after only 1 use » 2019-01-03 02:36:44

This isn't a bug and works as intended. If you look at the crafting reference it says that using it on a wall will break the axe and the wall. I assume it's to prevent griefers from breaking an entire building with single pick.

#162 Re: Main Forum » FYI snake roadkill kills you » 2018-12-18 17:50:50

I noticed this when snake roadkill was introduced and I looked at onetech.info. It definitely says deadly underneath the picture. I took it at its word.

Snake Roadkill

    Deadly
    Difficulty: Extremely Hard
    Added in v182

Luckily it decays after 30 minutes.

#163 Re: Main Forum » okay, so why do we have cars? » 2018-12-15 14:25:09

I'd love to see tractors. Make a plow attachment, put it on the back of a car and let it be engaged to turn soil under to create furrows. You only need one soil to get deep tilled. The attachment slows down the car to a crawl, of course.

I'd love to see horse drawn plows as well. The plow slows down the horse, but it also saves soil. Same thing, one deep.

Spray sprinkler that requires pipes but can be used to auto water things like berry bushes and saves a step.

Player movement is slowed down when carrying a hungry wild piglet

Carrying of normal, unhungry piglet is unaffected.
