Who cares now... Just stand by and await the apocalypse...

I think this won't be an issue if the game reaches a zenith of thousands of people playing on the same server with vast civilizations spanning hundreds of millions of tiles. Right now the game is pretty much still in beta and the player numbers are limited so it's easy to find your way back.

It's new for today and hopefully gone by tomorrow...

So, uh. Yeah.

I was on server two. Thanks for blinding me...

I'm... still confused? Why is this a thing?

My crazy guess... The servers can't handle the number of objects that get created so the solution was to make it easy to wipe out a server. Talk about taking griefing to a whole new level...

How about setting traps? For instance, when you dig up a bush... BOOM it explodes and you die. Maybe further along in evolution when you can craft dynamite. Could also capture and plant snakes under the bushes/walls/floors/etc.

Bummer. People suck. Maybe have some fixed messages like arrows pointing to food and simple sayings like "Don't Touch"

I don't use reddit so I guess if someone likes this idea enough they will post it there for us!

There should be a sign object you can program via the chat feature (e.g. click the sign then say something to save it).

When someone clicks the sign, their chat bubble pops up with what you said as if they were reading it out loud.

When someone dies, the contents of their backpack empties. I think it should keep its contents so when someone goes to collect the clothes they don't have to scatter the content of your backpack to get them.

It does make sense that areas not ventured would be overtaken by wilderness and since it's open source you certainly could change that. Maybe a setting could support the time it takes with an infinite mode. I just set my EBS drive to automatically take a snapshot every 12 hours so it won't loose my village if I can't log in for a while. Glad I came across this before I was able to put the game down for more than 24hr!

Yes, only in areas that no one has seen for more than 24 hours, though, and only when the server restarts.

So this won't affect active villages at all.

What if a large village on an inactive/personal server wasn't visited for 24 hours, would it disappear too? What dictates what is and is not a village. When I spawn as eve I try my best to get a bowl fired in an oven and some carrots going so the next person that arrives can immediately start farming.
