Silly Fug a vein now gives 4 iron before you need to pickaxe it
https://edge.onetech.info/942-Loose-Iro … 0-40-p3-p0

so you will be able to get the axe, shovel, hoe, and pickaxe form one vein

Well it's not that bad, Iron will be in a grid, so you know where Iron will be, and it was always odd that their were random chunks of Iron on the ground

Ahh don't worry to much as long as bears don't respawn in caves (thank you Rift) eventually all bears will be hunted into extinction

But I like bears.

Do we really want to live in a world without majestic bears wandering in the wilds?   That hardly feels like living.

(propaganda radio has turned on)
Well just join the BPM or Bear Pacifist Movement

We (just me but it sounds better if I have friends) believe that violence is the incorrect  way to deal with Bears, as Bears have the right of life, so we lure them into safe camps where they can't harm us but more importantly we stop poachers, don't worry our facilities are JRA (Jason Rohrer Approved).

If you want to help out our movement please leave a berry in the box bellow every donation counts
(No Bears were harmed in this auditory presentation)

I think that marriage could be viable in the current meta, as it is required to find another family, to survive, and what if when you marry someone, your home is changed, to where you married the person

#183 Re: Main Forum » Corn munching instead of berry munching. » 2020-03-25 01:19:59

I never see Pigs... but that's probably because how hard they are to domesticate (especially with the new update) and the potential risk of Bulldogs
I have been called a greifer for starting pigs and digging up Berry bushes

But we can't really blame the player base for loving berries, It is the first food introduced to them in the tutorial, every village has bucket loads, and I wouldn't be surprised if most people live their entire life just eating berries  subconsusly as its usually the first thing they see when running to the bakery

How many Berries does a village need? simple question but I have seen towns loaded with random patches of (domestic) berry bushes every where and when ever I try to remove a patch or two, every one starts panicking,

I know that Pien has crunched the numbers already, but I don't remember which post it was...

and spoonwood please stay away, I don't want you to make this post about how bad the game is by twisting my words

#188 Re: Main Forum » Graveyards » 2020-03-21 20:30:53

I guess you can call them GRAVE ROBBERS

But really I think that the problem with graves is that they are so convenient! Like all you need to do is grab at a grave and bam flat stone! No need to travel and get flat stones... That's probably what most people see just a collection of flat stones no memory nothing, Having writing of a grave makes it harder for those people to steal flat stones and attach meaning to graves, so those are less likely to be stolen.

Now what I think we need  is sort of an "Upgrade" grave, to make it harder for raiders to loot graves....

First idea:
using Stone Blocks instead of flat stones, because stone blocks are used for a lot less then flat stones
(But the things that it is used for are more important)

Second idea:
Rose graves- have a rose bush (any color) grow on graves
They would have to be removed how the way rosebushes are removed
& for people who like to name graves they can trim the Rose bush so that the name is visible and the roses grow around it

Third idea:
Statue graves- Put a full dug big rock on a grave and you Chisel it into, a statue, which could take any form, and if you dig up the gave statue you can only put it on other graves
Statues would be determined by what letter stock you use

I mean it could be some non-critical jobs that are important but allow people to do it while talking, like time-based jobs, research or machine operating or laundry

I would love to see these types of repetitive jobs, while some people say OH their boring I find that repetitive yet simple jobs are the best as you can spend more time socializing and you can mass produce something.... also these tasks are easer to understand for a new player

examples in game are (all subjective): berry farming, papermaking, pottery, and rabbit tarping(not so much anymore)

but what else could their be... we could have laundry, add a decay timer for fancy clothing, but be able to reset the timer by washing clothing, or worm breeder where you put worms in bowls of soil, and watch them grow, or maybe even dish washing, after a plate or bowl is used it gains the quality dirty, which can be cleaned, butter making with a butter press (turns a whole milk bucket into butter)

I think overall maintenance, jobs would be good simple, and drama worthy (being a maid but refusing to do A,B, or C because of D)

However the point about research made me think... what if their we needed to research and learn, lets through out race restrictions, and instead the way of slowing down progression is through learning…

Such as the eve tree (things eve's need to get a town up and running), and farm tree (what a developing town needs to learn how to farm), Industry tree (what a town needs to get to steam pumps), and advanced tree (oil, cars, radio ext.)
and that once a family learned apart of the tree the entire family learns it, eventually people will have access to all the trees through study and time

But I don't know how studying would work, would it just be some 30 year old dude on the lab table, mumbling to himself, or something that comes overtime with doing new recipes sort of like recipes= family points

#193 Re: Main Forum » There are 28 new piles in this week's update already (aka, DOZENS) » 2020-03-18 00:18:45

Wait a minute... shouldn't you put worms in a bowl, or in a rabbit/water pouch?
and shouldn't the bowl of goose eggs be containable?
