I just throw mine next to the fire when I need to work.
And you can still travel.

#177 Re: News » Update: Known Homeland » 2020-03-20 17:02:15

The more I play, the more I love this update.

You really did an excellent job on this one jason smile
Tbh, I like the very last one, but this one ! That way to tune the game mechanics and make the races / village system works all together is a masterpiece smile

If it is requested to use a bowl to harvest dry beans, how do you get seed to plant a new one ?

#179 Re: Main Forum » Money idea and why » 2020-03-17 22:11:43

Blank Map can also be used as money.
Maybe one life is about time, but generation survival may be about intel, and space-related too.
How much Blank Map for a bucket of latex ? 5 ?

You're right Saolin, it's good to have a clown.

#181 Re: Main Forum » Spoonwood » 2020-03-17 14:43:31

I read the first topic you mentionned : you just contiue to lie. I don't see the point of arguing if you are dishonest.

Didn't saw the topic you are talking about. Most of the thread here speak about something else, even if the father word was used. So it's just a plain lie.

Spoonwood wrote:

2. The sort of misandry that you demonstrate by generalizing about fathers suggests that this game has bad values.

There is no logical connection between my misandry and the game value. And I still think that this game has good value.

3. I'm pretty sure that women's life expectancy is longer than men's.  And it's telling that you didn't consider the place of most men in the real world.

Women have bad place for instance because of salaries, sexual abuses, and note that battered woman are usually women too. So it's not only about the life expectancy.

#183 Re: Main Forum » Spoonwood » 2020-03-16 14:11:43

No one - except you - have said this is a defiency in a game buddy. And by the way, I think the game promote good values : most of father suck at fatherhood, and women have a bad place in real world.

Let's say that 10 000 ppl change their mind because of this game. Even there, it doesn't matter. It's still a water drop in the ocean. So I don't understand your crusade. I mean : I'm not agree with it, as far as I understand it.

But still : it doesn't matter, you're wasting your time. But do whatever you like with it, even if you are stuck with this absurd crusade, it's still a way to exist in the virtuality of internet.

#187 Re: Main Forum » I can't believe that water is still mayor problem » 2020-03-11 21:01:58

Oil is interesting because water or iron are missing. I mean, I don't see why it is so bad. Can't you get water from other well ?
A trip with a horse, stones and shovel doesn't clear the issue there ?

To me, having a fundamental ressources issue is ok. Water or wat(hev)er.

Ok but what is the relation between a game mechanic and real life ? I mean, who cares ? It's a game right ?

Where did you get that idea from ?

Humans in the future not having fathers.

Ok but what you said doesn't make any sense to me. Can you be more specific about the relation between bad values and no more father ? I can't see it.

Where did you get that idea from ?

I'm confused? How is the heat from the building not rewarding? If a building is done correctly, it puts you at perfect temperature. Which makes your food bars/bonus decrease slower. Unless I'm missing something?

You are right. pein just said that the bonus was too weak in his point of view.

This could apply to you too. I mean ... 2k+ posts on this forum ?
I think you love this game so much that you begin to think it is your very own creation, as a player. I must confess that this happen to me, kind of, with some other game, and even with One hour one life.
But hell yeah : the freedom was added when rift was removed, and regarding the race limitations for instance, I can still play on other server, it's really easy to do so.

Hi,
I disagree : it's not a game similar, since you have not only 4 or 6 guys in the same area. But you're right : if you play on a server with only 4 or less than 15 ppl, then hell yeah : no limitations.

But then, on a 40 players server, limitations mean something : you have to meet other ppl in order to achieve the techtree if you like that. But you can still play without if you don't enjoy it !

I mean you can compare it, but the base difference means a lot, right ?

Well, if there is no emergency, there is no point for other ppl to do stuff, so I guess yes : it has to be kind of critical matter.

I just said : "we need a hoe (to forge one) and wood (firewood), I can do one, can someone get wood or do hoe ?"
Then both job were filled. Just like that.

Trading does not work, because the game punishes greed and rewards altruism with one of its foundation goals: build a civilisation. There is no sense in having personal property beyond your own backpack, because it hinders the productivity of a town, be it a small effect in a large town or a huge effect in a small camp. There is no reason to do anything for your own personal benefit and sacrificing the benefits of the town if your goal is to help said-town. Multiracial towns (notably belltowns) will always find a way to work out somehow, since there is no downside to having all races working together, let alone giving away to towns for nothing in return because the enjoyment for people who work to see towns thrive is, amazingly, seeing towns thrive.

You’re probably not going to get anything in return for what you do, and that’s fine. Maybe a grave if someone’s feeling generous, and you managed to bond with them somehow. Bit of gene score to bring a bad effect of less tool slots back to a neutral effect. But nothing rewarding besides seeing a town thriving.

I like this point of view smile
Seems true to me.

No. You spawn in and realize you've cared too much about a meaningless mechanic instead of trying to enjoy the game to the fullest. Kek

xD
Well, I don't care about fitness / score in this game but I think having some unique item is fun !
