Yeah so definitely "certain conditions" can void those bans.
So lets say you play for 6 hours and have been born 6 to 8 times.. depending on the arc and number of families theres probably anywhere between 2 and 6 major towns.
Currently (from well sparseness) there are only 2 or 3 major birthing sites on the map. So area ban and lineage ban are basically at their highest.
When there's nobody out in the wilderness (which would be like 200 tiles?) the game will ignore area and lineage and shoot you to those towns anyways.
HOWEVER
Once one or two girls leave that zone and are in the "wild" they can be bombarded by everyone who is area banned and lineage banned and become the only one who CAN have you.

While I'm not the most proficient at reading code, I can see he basically did a switcheroo and only changed that one thing.
SO
You gotta go to the round robin change.
"After Eve window closes, babies are distributed between remaining families round-robin. Within each family, when it's their turn to get a baby, heat an yum fertility bonuses still affect which mother in the family is chosen. Note that area/lineage bans, birth cooldowns, and other factors still apply. We only send a baby to the next family, round-robin, if we can according to these other factors."
So yep area and lineage bans are still there

I think its the area ban. If we still have that? I THINK we still have it under certain conditions.
Girls outside of civilization still seem to have a waaaaaaay higher chance to have kids, so I think it's still there.

That doesn't work because everyone suicides out of the old families to start new families. Even with a heads up on females with the start of the new arc after two hours the "winning" family was dead. Without looking at logs of each arc I would assume almost every surviving family from the previous arc dies off during the time of the Eve window due to all the people wanting to play Eve vs being in the oldest running lineage.
See you might have to look at those logs, cause I think I remember the surviving family making far into the next arc a couple times.
I think both the germans and the bears, and the uno, made it through 2 arcs.. Or at least some families have I'm pretty sure.

Well the last family survives apocalypse and gets a head start since all other family's start with just one female
So stealing the last resources and start a yum chain is a smart move (imo)
I half agree here, about the surviving family having a better shot to make it in the next arc.
But it made me think..
What if the map didn't cull a 20 by 20 tile zone around the last female birth location before reset.
It would give more of an incentive for that last family to try and survive. Starting an arc with even a tiny piece of the past would be a pretty big reward.. even if it was just some crops and half a sheep pen.

I'm pretty sure he popped into the discord and said that theres a bug with the wells he's gonna fix.
I think the well tapout radius was too high, or it counted too many, or something along those lines.

Gates wont stop bears spawning INSIDE from an angry god..
Basically jason was running around the map and found our village, and started getting surrounded by everyone..and SOMEBODY *cough* Dodge *cough* declared something like "I'm gonna get jason!"
Long story short, if you stab your creator, he might make it rain bears.
I tried to pull my vid but couldn't.. maybe some soul got footage of the bearpocolypse.

I gave him a bag with a knife so it would be a fair fight at least. It was hilarious seeing jason running away holding an upside down knife.

So tomorrow I plan on spamming black and yellow clothes for the spirit of things.
I did it at the beginning of October, and there was an arc where my black and yellow clothes were everywhere lol. A lot has changed in the few weeks I haven't played (kenshi addiction) but im determined haha.

But also, of course, graphical interfaces with totally different presentations. There could also be graphical skins that replace all the sprites and objects with something else. I've seen some smaller reskin mods (like for hats, trees, ground textures). But if someone dug into the animations too, having a DOG LIFE mode for OHOL, where everyone was a dog, and babies were puppies, would be totally possible.
That kinda exists already technically..
Im actually surprised you never saw that mod.. truz (hmkra on fourms) made a personal mod for her that gave everyone of all ages ears fur and a tail.
It never got made public though.

Yesterday I held a baby tarr over the radio and said "you are famous baby, say hi" and his name corrected to fannie, but he was a boy. I then apologized profusely haha.
