Remove the ability to not be attacked on horseback by bears.
Every bear lurer uses horses.
Make it so bears attack people on horseback.

I'm gonna guess and say that you think that Bears raids are needed.
Also the reason why this game is mediocre at best, BALANCE, or the lack of.

I can say without a doubt the community would praise you if you balanced bears, removed engine griefing, or did anything resembling the job of a developer.

Check it out.

Didn't know he was such a prolific author.

Wish I would have know about all his failed projects before ever playing OHOL.

Sorta explains why he quit working on OHOL.

Maybe he is cowriting another breast feeding book?

Welcome to OHOL.
I've been chased out town for delivering buckets of rubber.
Like 99% of the time it's fine to be in a different town.
The main reason I kill outsiders is.
They are being useless, or stealing.

Tell us what you stole or did?

We need to make a rule to sacrifice every fourth baby.
People take this game way to seriously.

Anywho....

Jason Twitter... As you can see he is playing Story Book Brawl and fighting with OpenAI. OHOL is dead just like Samantha.

You may think this is the best game ever but your sortta the minority.

The law doesn't care if your shiney new game is fun or not.

What Jason should take from this, maybe update the steam profile for his game to not be a boldface lie.

Just imagine if you bought this game today believing the lies on steam. I'd be even more pissed.

#209 Re: Main Forum » So Jason how much to buy OHOL? Cash out cause you've checked out. » 2021-09-16 12:24:59

According to the Federal Trade Commission, a bait and switch occurs whenever:

A merchant’s advertising is not truthful and is deceptive.
A merchant never intends to provide evidence of their great deals, i.e., the merchant makes an advertisement for a promotional deal, but then never gives a single customer the promotional deal.
A merchant unfairly swaps out an offer once a customer comes to the store, or commits to a purchase.
A merchant tricks a consumer into making a purchase.

What Jason is doing is clearly a violation of the law.

All it would take is someone filling a class action lawsuit.

#210 Re: Main Forum » So Jason how much to buy OHOL? Cash out cause you've checked out. » 2021-09-15 10:18:49

Jason won't sell this game... He would rather see it burn then admit that he sucks at Deving.

The one thing that would save this game would be moderation and updates.

I say we all report OHOL to steam.

It violates 3 out of the 7 reasons why steam would remove a game.

#1 Adult content: It shows naked people and blood

#2 Child Exploitations: It shows naked children

#3 Legal Violations: Jason lies when he says that there are 10,000 craftable object in game. Also he promises to add a new update EVERY WEEK. CLearly this is a legal violation, you can't promise your costumers one thing then not deliver.

Math without fractions gets real weird, man.

FluxBB bbcode test

I think Spoon purposely disagrees with everyone on purpose.

You can't disagree with math.

Numbers don't lie.

#212 Re: Main Forum » Sprinklers and Plows » 2021-08-17 14:29:49

No one uses sprinklers because they are easy to grief.

It's hard to use a sprinkler system because you must keep it locked up.

They cost so much iron.

They cost a lot of water just to make.

You need 2 engines.

Since sprinklers are in a straight line, it's hard to store the grown product. After the first harvest all the spots by the sprinkler are full, so no one wants to grow more because they can't pick and store it reasonably.

Shall I go on why sprinklers aren't used?

Sprinklers are badly designed.

#213 Re: Main Forum » Never ending water (sprinklers continued) » 2021-08-17 14:15:31

I want to know how many berries you get off one bowl of water if fractions don't exist.

According to Spoon the first berry costs 1 bowl and the rest are free? Not 1/6th a bowl?

#215 Re: Main Forum » Order,... How do You be a Leader? » 2021-08-14 15:31:39

If your leader you should immeditly run so that you are homesick. Because having kids will mess up your score.

Believe it or not, your score is going to be better not having 10 kids. Well unless it's already garbage, but you got lead so it is not.

Ohh you meant what a leader should do to help a town, not their own genetic score?

#216 Re: Main Forum » Never ending water (sprinklers continued) » 2021-08-14 15:24:14

Spoon lives in imagination land, where everyone loves him, and people don't know how to do math.

Kinda like my four year old nephew.

#217 Re: Main Forum » Never ending water (sprinklers continued) » 2021-08-11 21:32:21

Spoon math isn't your strong point, your better at arguing, or illogical rambling.

You know those buy one get one free deals?

Your not getting anything for free, because the cost is added in.

So saying that the first pie crust cost 1 bowl of water and the others are free is illogical.

No.  Berry pies, berry carrot pies, berry carrot rabbit pies, rabbit pies, mutton pies, carrot rabbit pies, and carrot pies can all get made from wild foods (and wild wheat) an thus it's not the case that all pies require 1/4 bowl of water.

Have you ever made a pie spoon? LOLOLOL obviously not.

Let me break this down for you, it takes 1 bowl of water added to flour to make dough. You get  4 pies with 1 bowl of water.

That's before you add any filling.

Your wrong.

Cooked mutton also doesn't take water to cook, but does require soil.

No, wild wheat exists.  And dead mouflon yield mutton that can get cooked.  So, both cooked mutton and mutton pies don't require any water or soil necessarily.

All pies require 1/4 bowl of water.

Every domestic food requires water.

The most water efficient domestic food would be piglets raised from a domestic boar, and milk.

20 servings of milk costs 1.25 bowls of water. That's 1/16 a bowl of water per serving.

1 pig raised from a boar costs 1/4 water. One boar is 5 carnitas. So for 1 bowl of water you get 20 servings of carnitas.

I agree, newcomens are the way to go. Tires are easy to make, esp. now that the low population is at 30.

The main problem I see in newcomen towns is the lack of buckets, and the lack of people who can or are willing to operate the pump.

80-90% of the playerbase is utterly useless nowadays.

#221 Re: Main Forum » Infinite oil » 2021-08-09 23:27:30

How about make iron, water, heck even food infinite? LOL

But to be honest, Eve spawns keep creeping west making it unreasonable to travel back to main cities.

Also, half the people in this game  (myself included) would rather live in an eve village without food, then live in a large city.

#222 Re: Main Forum » What on earth happened to this game? » 2021-08-09 23:20:08

Think about this:

OHOL could be like Castle Doctrine, no balance, no updates.
Atleast OHOL is playable, lol.

I've never actually counted this. Generally, I think shallow well lasts at least 1 generation so I think it's more than four.

It was about 4 buckets before the banding update, but Jason changes everything at the slightest whim.

It is sad that this game has been around for such a long time, yet, there is no information.

Think that whomever owns oholwiki gave up after they figured out that Jason was gonna change everything constantly and it was why too much work.

Here is a better idea, instead of keeping a shallow well, go deep. Deep well will give you like six cisterns, and last time I checked it will turn to a spring after the family dies.

Both of these aren't the greatest ideas. Because once the well returns to being a spring, someone could just make a well close and that spring becomes a dry spring and the town is dead.

#224 Re: Main Forum » Never ending water (sprinklers continued) » 2021-08-06 23:14:23

Did you forget that about iron? Without iron a town is useless. Also hate to break your shallow well bubble, but that shallow well only has like four buckets of water. That's nothing.

#225 Re: Main Forum » It feels like we have gotten past the event horizon. » 2021-08-06 11:06:45

Maybe the two dozen or so people that keep this game on life support should just stop.

Simple solution. If no one was playing, then new players would get a refund from steam immediately, forcing Jason to actually do something with this game.
