Totally not attractive, also fake hate from someone i dont even know or havent even talked to personally, seems disingenous, is that a way to get some type of spiritual low ground on someone?
Like "oh i hate you, all your words make perfect sense, i'm now in a lowwer position and going to engage in every discussion"
Yes
I HATE YOU!!!!!!!!!111
Don't answer that. It's rhetorical
JASON WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN US?!?!
Ha! And þey would have succeed if it wasn't for þat meddling þeRubyCart.
Take þem away boys!
"Sorry bby"
And run like the wind
Cheers friend !
Your example confuses me, because it has 'dark chocoalty', 'tan', and 'ginger' as possibilities in one zone, even if at different times.
The idea in the example is that the offspring of non-black mothers become gradually blacker, when born in the black people zone.
First, this seems like a very complex mechanic to implement. Jason would have to recolor sprites and probably add new ones that would only exist in rare situations. He'd have to track "generations in new family" which probably isn't even possible right now.
Second, there is absolutely zero benefit to this mechanic. Most people see not being able to have a baby as a good thing.
What does the ability to merge into another family matter when you live 60 minutes? Just die and get a new life in the other family you want. All you've done is hurt your old family in the process with this mechanic.
I wasn't thinking that it needed to be that complex that it needed "in-between" skin colors for transition.
I was more thinking that the game could make checks for which zone the baby got born into and the skin color of the mother and then randomly, maybe 50/50 chance, make the baby into the "more appropriate" skin color
FOR EXAMPLE;
A ginger goes to Africa zone, the game registers it, and makes 50% of her babies into the normal white skin tone,
and those who get born with that skin tone will have a 50% to make the tan skin colored people such as my avatar,
and theeeeeeen those offspring will have 50% to spawn the dark chocolaty ones
THUSLY the adopting family can receive a few generations of use of the racial abilities before the the population becomes homogenized again
AND
Afterwards the adopting family will learn the language of the adopted family (if that's how language mechanics work I'm not sure)
AND
Satellite families can become easier. (personally a thing I really enjoy)
ALSO
If there is one race missing on the server, it could be solved by a satellite family settling in that specific zone belonging to that said missing race, and like this that satellite family would shortly become converted into that missing race.
Thanks for all your replies guys
So
What if instead of the mechanics that prevents players from having babies outside of their zones;
Players could get babies in ANY zone they liked
BUT
The offspring would gradually over the generations change skin color in relating to the area they'd get born into
THUS
A family might contain several races for a short while, but would always end of homogeneous within a few gens.
It could be like gens mixing or lack of/additional production of melatonin.
The current system works just fine from before, but my idea was that it could be more sleek like this
Tell me what you think
السلام عليكم وراحمة اللّه وبركاته اعملين ايه يا حلوين ورمضان كريم من مصر اتمنى ماحدش من يا كفار هيموت من الوباء كورونا ووحشواني كتير كتير 3> 3> سلام سلام
I'd want a small stone that could hold one small item and that had the word "unless" scribbled across it.
Didn't somebody allready suggest this?!
I distinctly remember reading a post about this before!
I clicked this thread because it said "Languages Spitting".
Sigh... Nothing original here after all.
Tattoos were great but everyone is too worried about the important stuff like finding mixed fams so we can survive and build what's needed. It's definitely become more tedious to play.
I like your breasticles!
I've played less than ten lives this week, and in two of them the line ended with me because I never plopped anyone out.
during both these lives I was trying to spend some time by the fire with a +5 food bonus. It was the best I could do as neither of these lives took place within the established infrastructure of post-eve development.
Feels bad man
Good thing is; I'm not gonna flunk in any subjects this semester... Unlike my two previous ones...
I'm telling you guys;
If there was food decay & preservation, along side with animals that moved on a independant layer from the regular items, there would be no need to Fortnite-trap all the players in a giant sheeppen to make the game interesting again.
I got really intrigued the times the game was updated with new challenges that made me humble...
Such as the compost update!
... and the temperature rewamp!!
I like to play pacifist when playing in a game like this with real death consequences.
But I need space when people bug me. Or else I can't deal.
Please make OHOL PvE again.
Sure more deadly wildlife and food conservation techniques will be mastered and become routine game-play aswell.
Mmmmm... Mr. Jason, sir. How much work you wanna put into this project is up to you. I don't know your motivation for programing.
Adding content is a lot of work for sure, and how profitable I don't know.
I just wanted to express how much potenial I see in this game as a mainly PvE game over a mainly PvP one.
Ty for making tomatos edible and all the other necessary tweaks and fixes
#makeOHOLPvEagain
Always an interesting story to read from Pein
I've played three - maybe even four lives in the rift. Last of which was today...
I think I won't be playing OHOL for a while. Been fun guys
Hey Minecraft anyone? I got running server!
Discord me at Robhavat#9116
What if dogs were playable in OHOL?
Could be fun and could make dogs relevant
They'd be mostly independent on the human players for survival and they could be helpful by carrying small items, barking at animals, killing snakes and what not. Simple short tasks that won't make the short lifespan too bothersome.
Dogs should have faster movement speed than humans.
They should have perfect tempmeter in normal zones.
They should be able to speak to eachother.
human-players should only be able to understand dog-speach as; Bark Woof Grrr Yip Aoo and such.
They could be either bred from npc dogs/wovles only, or have their own player-lineages.
Breastfeeding should only be possible when dogmother is standing still.
Pups should click to fed on mothers. (Get away from me you bloodsuckers!)
A moving mother should be able to carry one pup-player, but without feeding Them.
Dogs should be able to carry one small item, or branch, 'cause dogs.
Dogs should be able to pick up items from containers, but not to carry big containers themselves.
Dogs should be able to affect to movement of wild animals somehow.
They should also have a /wag emote.
Their lives should be short as to be realistisc, so to compliment their simple gamestyle and to offer players a more time-economic variation of the game in which they can intereact with the comunity.
The potential interdependence between the playstyles that could develop, would make a wholesome game experience overall, probably.
PLEASE JASON IT WOULD BE SO COOL!!!
He got good biome
wow! Cool!
Bye Tarr!
