If you protect somebody from evil, the protected is not a free person. Just say, you want Jason to control what players say. Is rasism offensive to you? For some people religion is. Should Jason ban from this forum all people praying to Stew God, Berry God and Spider Godness? For some people offensive is seeing dead people. Should he censor corpses? Or make kids not killable, like in Bethesda games? For some people being naked is offensive and public breastfeeding. Should he remove it from the game? Where should he stop?

I planted 5 milkweeds to bring mouflon to camp. You wasted 16 milkweed stalks to make lasso in early settlement and complete clothes for you in the desert. You harvested them out of fruiting period. Then u asked me to make arrow.
I prepared 10 straight shafts to make fence, as there was no smith. You changed all of them to stakes.

I think this is quite a good idea!
Let's forget about micro- and macroelements, as there is no nutrition in the game, only calories (and it provides odd cases, like a Scotman who survived IRL with taking only microelements and water an entire year!). With cabbage, one should eat 8 kg a day to provide 2000 calories (sustain average adult).
It does mean, the most basic food should have very limited hunger filling capability, like 1. Yet, current minimum is 3 (2+1 from crafting recipies . I would request about limiting this minimum, as currently elders, to not waste food, need to wait until 1 health bar to not waste food. So impractical!
There are many ideas, yet Jason is hesitant to apply any.
Eve Fucile located a new camp on the desert/green edge. We were quite good. Many noobs, but also a lot of learning. One of my aunts located second settlement 2 bioms north. Everything was going great. Farm of berries, milkweed, we were making steel tools, no griefers, many sheeps.
But, at some moment we realised, there are no females in the camp. So, as I knowed where is second settlement, was given a backpack with 2 pies and went north for female. When I achieved desitnation, there was living a single Fucile older man, also no more females.
2 flourishing settlements and no hope, no legacy. So sad. I decided to find the edge of the world, but died of starvation during journey (phone distracted me).
Lessons learned
1. We need sex division of labour. Female do stationary job at camps (smithing, cooking, farming). Kids to stay by them, especially by the farm. Males can run around scavenging for resources and fighting bears.
2. We need horns, or other far distance communication. I will made a new suggestion for distant communication and different types of markings (marking, home, bell, horn).
Actually, you can't marry. You can only role play. But I was so task oriented, I didn't propose to her. I am sure she would accept the offer, even despite I killed her cousin.
Damn, I trusted her so much, I gave her a knife for sheep kill after shearing. And I passed all my brothers's clothes to her son. I had to lead him out of trashed city and he trusted his step daddy
I got a lesson from this game: put more attention at names and relations. There are just beautiful stories.
I've just had some crazy life. Was born in big city with roads, at 35th generation. My mama was making a lot of stuff, but she always remembered to breastfeed me from time to time. As a little boy, scouted an area and found many bows and arrows spread around the village.
Soon, mama was killed by Silas. Something to be expected to the son of Stalin:) As a naked kid I continued to scout south east near carrot farm. Yet the death scream was common in the village. Time to grab a bow! But Silas, murderer, was wise and new, I won't shoot him while he run. I chased him for a while and left. Fortunately, somebody other killed him. There was a fancy discussion in the middle of the village (crossroads) with queen and princess (both had crowns). They ruled the city, but didn't give me any orders. Naked orphan didn't seem to be very competent
Then I farmed a little carrots (from 10 rows I didn't prevent 3 from seeding, because of lack of time and space). Wanted to make a bucket to water it, but there was no rope around. While searching for rope, I found empty sheep pen on north west and many sheeps wandering around. I changed priorities: be a shepherd! Finally found a rope, brought a lamb and fed it. I left to find a shovel. Did not, but on my return there was no lamb. A griefer again!
Asshole named Shane was killing all the sheeps around with the knife. And he killed my older brother Theo!
I took my brothers clothes and decided to avenge him and stop Shane. This son of another Stalin was then going back to thee village and pretending to be loving and caring. Just watch his last words! I knew he lies and shoot him in the face with arrow from 2 tiles away, in the middle of the city. He was very surprised Somebody started to chase me around. But I had great vision from Joriom mod and was able ot outmanouver him. Brought new lamb to pen, fed it and decided to confess everything to queen. At beginning suspicious, with knife in the hand, but she listened to me and named a hero. She even gave me a knife (she had 2) to take care of sheeps. Everybody was happy, shepherding is back in town
Soon, young lady with kids approached and was shearing every new sheep before popping a lamb. I became a teacher. She and her kid were listening to me about order: feed the lamb, wait for adult with dung, wait for new lamb, shear and kill adult, repeat. She called me a great teacher and started to pass this knowledge further to her second kid. I felt very proud, just like she was my wife and her second kid was my own.
Village was thriving again, no griefers around, crops were watered. But there was no milkweed farm around, nor compost farming. I decided to forge a shovel and died just after making two unforged crucibles. I hope, somebody will continue my work and the city will survive

Somewhere here was an idea about baby food. But!
1. I propose to make everything like baby food, which is to fill only a few hunger bars per bite. The better the food, the more bites.
2. Bowl of mashed carrots and berries is a terrible idea for use, as berries and carrots are already overused for sheeps and composting. While it still make sense IRL, please, propose something different. Only for gameplay reasons.
3. For now, such an implementation of baby food is popcorn
4. Jason will introduce quickly more vegetables. Stay wary for new recipes from him!

Disease spreading through a mono-crop is interesting.... somewhat hard for me to implement, and probably not the main reason that people grow/eat more that one thing.

There is simpler solution I included in my enhance cooking proposal..
Make all food filling only few bars hunger per bite/gulp, while giving superioir foods much more portions. Like popcorn. Pies may be 8 bites instead of 4, with halfed satiation ability. Basic, raw ingredients should be very inferior, like filling 1-3 bars per portion. If berry fill only 1 bar, nobody would be waiting for starvation to eat. But it will create rush for better cooking recipes.
I've just made a suggestion that may make this thread obsolete. It is complex, but a content for this topic in TLDR:
Make all raw food and simple, one ingredient meals inferior at start. You do not have to make filling decreasing with each eating.
Instead, give us many recipes for meals requiring a wide variety of ingredients. Allow them to fill much more than base ingredients sum. Make them eatable with low hunger fill per one bite/gulp, but give them more portions (like pies with 8 bites instead of 4).
This way, a mono diet, with simple, one ingredient snacks or even raw food would be inferior to multi ingredients cooking recipes

While there are many solutions to solve many problems, humanity IRL developed the greates one: cooking
Problems:
1. Kids bored at camp, exploring and dying from starvation. Same for elders.
2. People trying to min/max and not waste food, eat only near starvation. It keeps young/elders off better food sources and makes adults prone to starvation of lag.
3. People focusing on beries as early meta.
Solutions:
1. Greatly decrease calories of all raw food and simple meals. Kids and elders would not worry about eating while farming, while it is still calories wasting, as cooked meals exceeds base ingredients calories input. But for adults, it will create a rush for cooking, as leaving camp with so timid berry in the hand would seem as leaving with almost nothing in hand. What is more, cooking is a big activity performed at camp, co kids and elders would be motivated to stay cooking. They would be safer and would feel more useful for colony.
2. The more sophisticated cooking recipe, the bigger calories intake, exceeding the base sum of all ingredients. Just like pies currently, but we need more recipes. It will make people farm different crops just for recipes, the most complicated, the more food sources they need.
3. The greatest meals instead of fullfil hunger gauge at once should have less hunger fill per bite, but more bites (just like corn). This way, people would not worry about eating while hunger bar is in the middle. Pies (with 8 bites instead of 4, like pizza) would be useful for teenagers and almost elders without wasting food, while adults will be eating while hunger is in the middle, without waiting for starvation phase to min/max it.
4. More cooking stations:

Such a soup should fill a grown man with all gulps, while still not wasting food by kids and elders. So maybe 6 spoons/gulps per hot soup? Cold soup would be not so fulfilling, so allow for 2 gulps (you can dring more cold soup per once than hot) for 2 bars (slightly worse than 1 ingredient soup).

How to make it less tedious? Put pot above fire in the wood hanger (2 long shafts + rope) or on the stove. But for this you need bigger pot than bowl and which is not made of skin. Think about potter's wheel and cast iron pot. Such a cast iron can be useful also for fire striker I suggested already in Wider tools variety on low technology level
What about rotating fire pit grills? With meat and many vegetables, maybe some sauce on the plate and fork.
Such a cooking is sophisticated and fun (at least I suppose). Elders and kids would have purpose making gardens (a little of everything) instead of monocultural farming. For gardening it makes sense to carry soil, for farming not. Therefore my suggestion about tilling on bare ground can be abandoned At least, until we create plough
Also, staying at camp would make now much more sense.
I know it is a longterm crafting reference, but for sure so enjoyable for players. And possible fun for Jason, as he seems to enjoy creating new items and creative crafting recipes
