Griefing is wasting resources, destroying and disrupting society. Generally, the main offenders (other than trolls) are people who do not think before they do something. I think a lot of griefing is done unintentionally when you are not actively seeking out toppling a society by destroying the tools and overeating.
- Pursuing dogs in its current state a prime example of wasting resources and space.
- Depleting rabbit holes.
- Expanding farms when there is no demand. A hot tip is to make another small berry/carrot farm next to the Sheep pen.
- Eating berries as an adult when there are other foods readily available. Learn your surroundings.
- Not working on berry farms the first 5 min as a kid if there is a need.
- Making Large Slow Fires with Logs.
- Making Tinder out of Firewood when you got braches around.
- Building Roads to nowhere. Building roads too close to farms, buildings and resources.
- Building Railroad tracks when there are more immediate concerns for that Iron. (Carts are faster anyways)
- Filling Trash Pits accidentally letting all the animals out.
- Taking bowls and plates quite clearly used at a station like the Bakery, Smithy, Stew crocks, Farms, etc. Make new ones instead, there is always good to have more of them than you think you'll need.
- Not bringing plates back when you've eaten that pie.
- Taking a tool, using it once and not bringing it back. Same goes for breaking it and not telling anyone.
- Making Bonsai Trees when there are other things that need to be done.
- Making a bowl of Carnitas when you're not intending to bake the whole Taco chain.
- Planting Rosebushes in inconvenient areas.
- Not following through with the watering of trees.
- Making Berry Carrot Pies.
- Not taking care of the carrots you planted and now they're all seeds.
- Asking for / making backpacks when all you do is hanging around the berry bushes for easy food. Get an apron instead if you want to have food on you unless you intend to transport a lot of items from point a to point b.
- Making locks on doors and chests. In most cases, the lock serves no purpose other than to annoy your descendants because no one but you know where the key is.
- Not replanting that one last crop when there was still seeds around.
Etc. I'm not against roleplaying. I think its more fun with it but some sort of structure is needed for this game to work. Also wouldn't it be nicer if we tried to make a Fence instead of the trash pit pens?
Dark.
Ew. But that requires joining Reddit. Ew ew ew...
Don't know if I'd trust anyone's suggestion with that view of reddit. So it all works out in the end.
I usually press the lower part of the body to feed when I've got a backpack.
A lot of people with backpacks don't use them efficiently to transport items that benefit society or don't need them, so I'd say it's safer if you don't have a backpack and invest in an apron if you want to have some food on you.
This town is cursed because during my whole life we pooped only one boy
It's almost like the redheads reproduce using cell division.
Better to invest in more stackable items and designated containers for seeds, wheat/flower, vegetables, animal products and other items often found and used in large quantities.
Is this something that is potentially coming up (referenced by jason somewhere) or all just speculation/hope at the moment? I don't know why but I'm really looking forward to a tree planting update...
It's already live. The Storm settlement has a big area dedicated to tree farming.
Don't believe me, then try to stack flat rock together and be amazed how that's a thing now.
I was Saint Toot and married Lee Poot. It is really nice to have two family lines in the same city so that you do not have to inbred so much in your play-pretend marriages.

I'd rather it be something like it takes a few generation to get a full tree but each generation has to be mindful to take care of your trees kind of like a mini bell tower project.
An hour or two would not be unrealistic for a sapling to grow to a full tree. Forestry is a generation project in real life too, as we all know. But having it take more than two generations would be really boring.
Wood and other non-replenishing resources are so finite that it gets boring if you run out and have to go really far to get more. It makes city-building near impossible.
How do you curse a nameless person anyways?
I spawned to an eve that seemed to have found an abandoned town that had a LOT of written notes laying around and broken baskets. I was named Kelsey and had a sister named Timmy. When I was still baby i found a crown and signaled to my mom by using two or three letters to go there and take it. So she followed me and took the crown becoming the first monarch of this new city.
When i grew up I rapidly ,with help of my sister, started watering the crops and bringing new baskets. So i worked hard most of my young years and early adult life by making fire with my really great bro, Heloise. I helped my brother make pies and then told my mom that I was going to build a library to compile important stuff and take some important notes. Then my mom saw that I was working hard and helping so she gave me the crown and a aper that had something written in it that proved legitimacy of the monarch. When I received that I got to work and brought an escaped horse I found. So I started making papers and helping the smith, when i got the papers ready I decided that I was going to make the list of all the monarchs and put it in the library so I wrote my mom´s name as first ruler and myself as second ruler. Then when I was helping my brother Heloise he told me that maybe I should write the laws and put them in the library so I followed his advice and started making some laws. I only got to write only two with help of Heloise because I was getting too old. These two laws were: "Kill all cursed people" and "Show all babies the laws when they are born". Those laws seemed to me very important and I was going to write more but I was almost dead and had to choose an heir so I choose Great Wiza II as new king, and explained him and his sister how library works and about they need to read to the kids the laws of the land. Then I died of old age.
It was a great life I hope people can do this again of recording past events and their kings, queens and laws. Also hope that this family keeps going and that the current king or queen does the right decisions.
I was Heloise the brother, or as you would know me "the Court Poet" and advisor. I didn't get to do more poetry, but I did assist the new ruler after you (poor boy didn't know how to make paper) and made more pies. I tried to educate the new generation, but I did not have enough time to see if the line of succession broke down or not. Well played.
More things need to be made disposable. Can't trash pork and other items with very limited and niche use. That being said, more food combinations with pork and other single-purpose veggies would be good to clear up some of that trash laying around with no efficient use.
Also, more stackable items like piles of seed (for each type). That alone would save a lot of space especially for all that carrot, milkweed and corn that gets spread around.
More stackable items are really necessary for us to stay organised so thank you for the update. Enjoy your vacation.
