Does anyone have it?
I want to post or stream the game but can't without the non-nudity mod. I've been looking on the forums but can't find it.
Most of the hosting sites have non-nudity clauses.
Help appreciated
Productivity is a choice not a obiligation. How you guys so firmed you hold the truth, thats every your words need be pay attention to?
The biggest fact is our eaqual born into the game, why you think who's ignoring is a waste of your time, but you killed a adults' all remaining life is not the biggest waste of her/his life!
As everyone has said, that's not how you play the game if you want to get anywhere.
Even with Gen 15 camps, by then most players give up and just tend the sheep and farms with three or four making clothes/housing/tools. They don't move out and make satellite towns to bring their productivity back up, transferring materials, which eventually kills every town.
If most of us were productive, it would be an imperative for Jason to add higher tech in sooner. I mean, the rate of good players compared to griefers has gotten WAYYYY better the last couple months, but its still not great.
I only name my kid hope if they are the only girl, or the last surviving one.
That way she and her brothers know its all on her to keep our family alive
Cows

Copper upgrades

Cause of the new fan art page, lets see what ya'll got!
I'll start with something I threw together.

Swap it. Work only at camp and ask every kid to go forage and bring back some food if he can. Tell them direction where reed for basket is and where plenty of food is. Works pretty well usually. Bonus points for natural selection. Dumb kids die off. Smart ones bring back food and can help later with camp.
That's what I do most of the time.
There's something to be said for natural selection. Plus, if you get a couple good kids they can get you the range of foods you need to build camp quickly. It was the first strategy that let me make tools as an eve for the first time.
I just wish the new players asked more questions. Especially as kids when you can still hold them.
The amount that don't take advantage of the food bonuses is nuts.
I had two decent kids of the lot.
Just got the farm up and running and the last two grandkids run off because there's "no food".
Lol, with another 45 berry bushes ten seconds walk south, so they take off east into the wilderness with all the tools.

Gotta say, it was a good grief for the grandson to convince the last girl to run off away from the food
Well I can't speak for your experiences, but the few I've had with him he's been a bit of an asshole to me.
Not to mention some of his views are pretty... 1800's. While he explained it better here, it still is based on the same old ideas.
TBH, I hate the race crap. If you are caucasian, you don't notice it, if you aren't, you don't get that option.
The first time my kid got it they were 6. A couple years later and now they recognize it. So I support anyone who (reasonably) calls people out on it.
Edit: aren't and you
Talking about someone who's not in the metaphorical room would constitute "talking behind their back". Since YAHG wasn't in the thread (the room), I believe it was a valid thing to say.
In a public forum, nothing is private. In a forum that is specifically for players and with his time on the boards its more than likely he would see it, its inevitable.
With the second sentence its was "enfeeble your intellect and let yourself be controlled by your feelings". It just doesn't make sense since you would be trying NOT to react to your feelings and reply to the comment.
"Fighting racists means the racists win".
Lol, pretty sure the WW2 generation would disagree with him.
And the survivors.
If you want to wax philosophical, then tolerating racism is the worst thing you can do, and our history shows that repetitively.
Slavery in America, the holocaust, the Armenian genocide, the Tutsi genocide or the Rohingya attacks... Every one of them happened because it entered into the popular culture that these people were lesser somehow.
Its an easy formula that's been repeated again and again. Dehumanize a population and you can act less than human towards them.
There's another, more famous quote you should have heard of by now.
"Evil prevails when good men see it and do nothing."
Maybe it's time for you to rethink what "good" means to you.
Oh, also, this is a public forum for a small group of players, so nothing is said "behind their back"
Also, relearn your vocabulary. You second sentence doesn't make sense.
That explains it
Good solution
I can't figure out where it is coming from.
I sent out an email question to recent buyers, and most of them just said "youtube."
Anyone have any leads on this?
Honeybeargames I'm guessing.
My 8 year old showed me them and asked if that was the game I play and its been on my recommended list before.
forestglade wrote:He wants us to self police.
So what happens next? I spawn in new village. And lo and behold, he is there as well. And was in my game yesterday. And the day before. So I'm achieving absolutely nothing. I have no way to not play with him unless I don't play at all.
And that's exactly what I am talking about. Instead of solving the problem player by killing them, all we are doing is shifting them to be someone ELSE's problem.
Its not hard to ban an IP address.
We've tried the player solutions, they haven't worked since its still happening. Once you add in that its only a small number of players that pull that crap then the solution should be obvious. The game has already lost the majority of its players and if it wants to continue, then it can't afford to lose too many more.
Call me a whiny bitch if you want, but the proof is in the number of current players
This game is free
What are you talking about
What are you on about?
Its literally on the main site page
Still, having to lock it where you have to hope the doc is nearby and sees you kinda defeats the purpose of the pads, doesn't it?
Lately I'm pretty sure there's a couple people griefing constantly. Came across both in the West family today. We had the same thing happen to one of the two bowls of pads, never saw the second one again
Hear me out.
I was in the West family, Love West. I had a son, Kahn who started out alright.
First word was Q, and he was a nice, normal member of society until adulthood. As soon as he hit it he grabbed a knife and started killing. The thing is, I'm pretty sure this is the player that started about a month ago.
When he first started he was swearing all the time and most of us abandoned him, then he started his racist shit. Eventually he caught on that we'd all drop him so stopped his crap until after he passes the 15 minute mark. Normally, I don't give a shit about online crap like that, but he (or someone with the same speech patterns) has spent almost his entire time greifing people and coming out with his crap.
Now, I expect a little greifing, we all do. But there's GOT to be a line somewhere.
Running around trying to screw up people's games constantly and being a piece of shit should get him banned. Let him waste another $20 if he wants to keep it up, but if we want people to actually KEEP playing this game players like him should really be stopped by admin, not the players.
I really hope Jason actually takes notice of this.
And now for the obligatory: KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Griefer can destroy all forge and oven. No clay to fix.
They can cut all tree. No way to plant.
Totally agree about the trees.
How do you destroy forge though? I've been saying for ages we need a sledgehammer or something to break them down.
One of the big attractions of the game was being taught by other players.
Its something that was lost until recently, not long after the farm updates players started teaching each other again. A short tutorial would be nice, but don't give everything away.
Half the challenge is figuring out how to make the harder stuff, like those goddamn pork tacos.
We've had horizontal tech updates, its time for vertical ones.
The extra food is great, it allowing for a little more of the parenting we used to see. That is one of the main focuses of the game, right?
Well since people are starting to get a little downtime due to stew then it also gives them time to explore more of the tech tree. The one that isn't there yet.
When we can start making reasons to have houses and actually settle somewhere for good then we start getting back into rebuilding society. Like with police, merchants, family castes, builders, fighters and so on. But to get there we need the tech trees there to support it and enough of them that it wouldn't be possible for every city to do.
But that's just my take on it
The game has most of that already. The only thing from your list that I haven't seen is people being locked up. The simplest solution to not being murdered is literally just to "git gud".
Someone asked last week about the uses of the lasso. I reckon it would be a good idea to have it so you can lasso someone and they couldn't log out or respawn until the time limit is up. Gives time to decide if to kill the greifer or to lock them up somewhere. It would give another reason to have them near and a reason to start making rooms and even maybe jaildoors.

It's a good idea, but I think it will be too hard to execute. Even if the changes are made to the game, few will build one. Fact is, now the only reasons anyone makes housing now is for storage.I just mentioned this in another thread.
I imagine in the future there could be items that only work inside rooms. Take a leaf out of ECOs book.
Would slow progression which is good, because atm it can be rushed out so quickly its stupid.
Yeah, hopefully. It would help alot of the dynamics in the game.
The biggest issue is that its not really an advantage to have a house. Greifers would be a close second.
people are weird, told my eve mom who had a noob camp that we need desert and water, both were to right, she knew it, she still chuck down the kiln on a green biome cause she had ropes there, and started there or found soil and skewer there, i dont know
other told she knows, but she still settled on green
or i hear questions that do they grow differently?
my answer "no but you are standing on it"
I've started doing that. Putting the kiln in the green and a but further from where I want to farm. Mostly because I end up with kids that don't think about the farm expanding or try to raise kids in the middle of a desert. If you can chuck it a screen away in the green it helps set up a second spot to raise kids. Plus, working in a desert kinda screws your hunger, even naked.
When it comes to starting, I always make sure there's a few extra ponds within a screen of the original few.
Other than that, no where near an ice biome and reasonably far from wilderness. Normally I don't care much about desert, its a perk if you get it but no big loss if there's none around.
I don't think it would work with the way the game is modeled now anyway. It would cost too much in time/resources. Especially since Jason is going to make it harder to grow enough food to keep a village alive.

Another interesting game for food models is UnReal World. There food has carbs, fats and proteins, and you have to get enough of all of them or you waste away. Maybe in OHOL we could have those three meters next to temp, and different foods give different things. Carb bar influences hunger drain rate, protein bar influences max hunger, and fat bar influences both. These bars deplete with hunger. Raw foods are usually fairly pure in one of the components, so you have to constantly rotate them. As you get more advanced foods they start to get more balanced so there's less annoyance of juggling different food types.
Yeah, but we don't want to turn the game into a eating simulator
