I mean, will you really want to build an injection-molding machine for plastic just to have a water jug to use with your car for aesthetic reasons? You would probably just use the rabbit pouch if it worked the same...
Yes i would love to build an injection moulding machine for aesthetic reasons, just like i love to dye my shoes blue.
Come on end game on anything is fashion bro. I got that goofy lookin onion armor on darksouls. A kickass checked beige suit on gta. Griffin armor on witcher. Enchanted noblemans cloths on skyrim. And a cookie monster suit on ark.
Of course i would build an oil well, use byproducts to make plastic, and make a bottle of antifreeze from the blood of a penguin.
Content is all anyone wants if updates were just 100 different plants i could grow i would be thrilled! Even if they all functioned exactly like carrots i would grow them just for kicks.
I think most of us understand your still balancing the game, and thats why i still hold onto hope that this game will be great some day. But honestly i think alot of people just want content.
I get home from a 12 hour shift at work and i wanna do something other than make baskets and smith. I love these parts of the game, but its all im doing. A struggling town says we need a hoe im on it youll have one in a minute, but then someone says...
i need an axe...
the baskets are breaking...
The axe just broke...
Need carts...
F!!!....
FFFFFFF....
and i cant help but to try. I want to help them all be successful. Because i am just a small part of this town. My job is to help pick carrots, smith when needed, raise the right number of kids not too few not too many, make sure seed row is preserved, ward off murderers, make baskets, carts, wheels grab water when im near.
I can't do it all but it seems like in most of my lives i have too. Things used to happen at a much chiller pace. I miss those days...
I hope you figure out how you wanna balance this game soon... i really love playing, but its getting harder and harder to want to spend my evenings hearing..
Kill all boys...
Make me an axe....
Fu..ck...yo...u
We need soil...
We need baskets...
This game is ruined...
Cl...ot...hs?...
Just wanted to end this bit of rant by saying thank you jason for working hard and listening to us. Good luck in development.
Herobrine of OHOL... will also dig 1x2 holes in your carrot feilds
Could they be saying б? It's lowercase Cyrillic b.
What would it mean? Like "f"? I dont know what cyrillic even is...
I can never type numbers... would love to be able to. Mabey numpad? Ive only tried the ones ontop cause im on a laptop

sounds like RL
& about teaching, if you like that, then stop stressing over other things which you deem important but not as much fun as teaching
it's not like the town is actually dying, not even murdered people are actually murdered, they will respawn, that's how this game is at its basis, one life is just a small part, nothing depends on one life, it all comes together because many participate, that's why teaching is even more important than making new basketsyou can have time in this game - take it & do what you like to do
don't waste it on things you don't like as much& i think we will get soon repair of things, so ...
I have yet to find a town in which i have the ability to take time to teach. Kid starves, i starve food runs out. Im not wasting any time im ensuring i survive, and trying to be productive.

The decay has ruined the game IMO.
I'd like to hear what you have to say about what makes the game 'tedious' rather than 'difficult'.
I also wouldn't mind a bit of elaboration on how decay has ruined the game, in your opinion.
One word storage.
I love difficult games. Darksouls is one of my favorite games, but i dont have to cooperate with people learning the game, and if i choose to i can use voicechat, and can spend as much time as i feel teaching.
Ive said it before i love teaching in this game, its cool it fits the theme. But i never have time anymore, and untrained players can kill a town in minutes.
By the time i get one thing up and running i have to go make baskets, or make another hoe, or replant all the milkweed.
I name all my kids potato when im eve. Otherwise i just type random letters... sometimes its cool sometimes its "fe"
Let us right click on our backpack with an item in hand to swap for a different type of item inside please.
Trying to get at that item in the bottom of my bag is a DRAG, I know the ladies gotta do it all the time but I dun want too
Please!
Mabey a bit of both.. 1/40 chance of cracking then 1/20 chance of breaking. That way theres only two objects to generate for, but brand new tools wont just shatter. I know this wont remove the problem, but it would simplify things a bit.
Plus if a tool cracks on the first use its kinda like the smith did a poor job making it.
Also getting say "small steel scrap" from broken tools plus axe would be very appriciated, or even being able to remove the handle and reforge the head. As maintenance.
Steel axe>cracked steel axe
Two items with different RNG
Why not accept bitcoin/crpyto? You dont need to pay someone 8% and you dont need to ask for any personal information.
Also its super easy to make a wallet and just copy and paste the address.
Cashing it out is a bitch and a half and rapidly fluctuating prices can make it tough..
Value went from 8,860 to 8,800 in the last hour... bigger jumps arent unheard of.
Only thing that's really needed is to turn down the decay a few notches. Would also be nice to be able to repair stuff.
And this "everything runs out" thing should be abandoned. It should be replaced with "everything runs out if not maintained" Steel tools should be recyclable. Maybee not one to one, but at least two to one.
Harder composting is ok I guess, as long as it's in principle infinite. So basically - slower decay and ability to grow trees and repair/recycle.
Its technically more infinite to compost now than before cause sheep poop (while hard to get) can be infinite. Wish i could tie a sheep to a pole though... making a pen from scratch can take your whole life, and can be destroyed in a minute with a flint chip...
I haven't gotten it since sunday

Seriously. Not only should they break after one use, they should explode with a 20% chance of blinding or killing everybody in a three-square radius.
Shhhhhh thats something jason would do. Breaking down large stones with a chisel has a chance of blinding you lol. Blinded at twenty says f when hungry for rest of life.
New level of immersion. Mentally handicapped kids lol. Had my fair share of these... dont usually feed them if they dont try to learn..
I thought spawning as eve was supposed to be a fairly uncommon experience. In the whole time ive played it seems like a third or more of my lives im eve.
Take this vote, lets see who is dum!
Mmm cheese.... we need cows ,cheesemaking, and a pasta press. In this game pronto!
Tell me the incentive to make wool products.
Kickass blue suede shoe man! Uses enough iron to keep your civ in hoes for 2 generations, but hey your gonna look pimpin for the rest of your life.... (obviously ironic).
But seriously this is a bug that will probably be fixed this week even the raw changes say its supposed to be 20 uses.
Shouldn't a whole sheeps worth of wool make more than one boot though... i have no experience irl spinning wool, but it seems like you should get more than a tiny ball per sheep.
when to pick milkweed is one of the most important things for a new player to learn. I always pick fruiting milkweed even when I dont need it just in case someone else stumbles across it. when I'm an eve in old age I pick all the branches off trees so whoever settles has plenty of timber/straight shafts too.
I want the current generation of smiths tranining the next generation of smiths.
Teaching is my favorite part though I very rarely have time anymore...
no it will respawn as long as you pick it in fruiting stage. though it is polite to pull a few seeds for the next person who comes by.
Mabey just an offhand slot like when you equip a seal skin
I would really like to see a sign with a carrot seed on it to mark rows.
Overeating makes you fatter and slower is the only realistic way to go. The real question is how to depict fat without having to create new "fat state" clothes. A fat head makes sense, but everyone already has a round face.
Can the body sprites simply be drawn a % wider?
Mabey just pudgy cheeks
Is specialization efficient though? Is it worth the time it takes to tell everyone that there's a farmer/trapper/wagoneer now, and that anyone else doing the same thing will be wasting their time? Or the time it takes to tell everyone where to take the stuff they need from the specialist, and how not to disrupt their work?
I dont think specializing is the best idea. Ive seen that when they die noone takes their place. See something needs done do it.
Did you make sure to delete the old game files properly?
