Us Lucys were already a dying breed and the surname was almost gone by time I died. It's terrible you were giving us Lucys a bad name, the townsfolk had kindly taken us in when my great-grandmother Eve spawned there. That is how you repay kindness? Killing your own and our rescuers?
I was the Potter lady My Lucy, who everyone just called Lucy. I forged a little but mostly brought clay to make plates for pies and bowls for the farms. I had two kids that I noticed and one that got raised by my sister (never seen her sorry Asia Lucy the first).
The blonde lady with the bow was killing runner babies. I do not really approve of infanticide but I do understand it and it happens so often now that people just don't care. She also had in her mind I think to be a protector as she would often follow me out to the badlands where my clay piles were to see what I was up to. It scared me a little being all alone with a bow pointed my way but she never did kill me.
On a hugely selfish note I'm glad you didn't frame me (also a ginger lady with an apron), maybe we weren't alive quite at the same time as I was your Granny's older Sister. I'm also glad my Marcus and Lucinda lived to old age. I forgot the name of my adopted son who was my Great Nephew, not even sure if he was a Lucy or an Egge but I hope he had a good life as well.
Shame on you Asia Lucy, I see donkeys in your future if you do not mend your ways.
Actually I just realized something really funny. There's a suicide baby in Jason's trailer for the game. At the 1:05 minute mark you see a baby run from behind a tree out into the wilderness alone.

To all my children this life, you really made my day. In all the madness only two of you ran off as babies. We had the murders of your poor Gma (may the respawn be kind), then the crazy Aunts got killed (did one twin really knife the other?) and then the other two ladies. Then the bear came and took one of you away far to early.
Hope your lives weren't to crazy and you had some fun.

Living after disconnect is a great idea but like others have said not for keeping babies but for cases when you are having a great time then get that dreaded message.
However trying to force people to play the way you want them to is just going to lead to more people choosing not to play at all or turning griefer. Donkey Town is great but honestly only a small percentage of griefers get cursed, usually mass murders. Those that break the pen, release the bears, hide the tools, cut all the wheat, pick all the carrots, overeat, dirty the pads etc often go unnoticed.
Lately baby suicide has been an issue but in the past there has been cases of to many kids and parents choosing to let them starve. If babies are made to stay, should parents be made to feed them? Is that the next issue? How is forcing a life on a player but giving others the choice to starve them ok?
We all have limited time to play this game and we all want the best life we can have. Sure this leaves lineages dying out but maybe they weren't meant to continue. After all when the kid gets to four or five and starves after wasting your food and time as, are you going to be mad at them? What's next? Stopping all child death or death before their fertility ends or all death forever?
Another idea to stop the repeated suicide is to lineage ban infants. Say if they die three times before the age of three, they get lineage banned as clearly either they don't want the town or town doesn't want them.
I also like the randomness as I hate Eve runs but I've played a few and been happy to see my line continue and I never would have Eve'd if given the choice.
I was born as a girl into a crazy town where they were stabbing and cursing babies that ran, so I hanged around for my required three minutes and then left to starve. Did anyone notice and curse me? I doubt it. Did my mother have to feed me therefore wasting her time and mine? Yes she did, all thanks to ideas like this one.
Also the reason I decided to respawn was I didn't like the people or their murdering/cursing. I went on to a much better, much more friendlier life.
Yeah babies probably have to be able to jump out of the arms of people who cannot properly feed them (males, old women) to prevent them from starving children to death in their arms.
Not just males and old women but all adults. When I was new to this game my grandma picked me up and told me she'd give me a tour. She was still young enough to feed me and she was my Grandmother, you've got to trust Granny right? She took me to the savannah far away from anyone and dumped me there to starve finally saying "sry".
Had another instance just a few days ago where my early camp mum told me to stay, it was a good spot temperature wise and my Aunty picked me up and tried to run off with me into the swamp. I told my mum when she came back but she didn't believe me as Aunty said she was worried about me and was taking me to the berries to feed, there wasn't any berries in that swamp. I don't know if she killed any of the other boys.
Kids need to jump, it's a life saving tool. Ok most of the time it's not needed but once the griefers know babies are trapped, kidnapping will increase.
The living after disconnect sounds great though.
But they won't be able to jump out of arms at such a young age. Maybe you even need hair to jump out?
What about baby kidnappers? The only way to save your life is to jump out of their arms to get back to your mother.

I also gave Femi the second her knife and to be fair she died not long after you of old age. Thank you for giving me grandbabies and sorry if you felt used, you truly were Precious to your mama.
No idea my record but I had an Eve spawn yesterday with two smart girls and the line continued for 14/15 gens. Thank you all the smart Berrymans.
I rather liked Magic Magi, don't think it's funny though. Once accidentally called a boy Pocahontas by naming him something else (I now can't remember) which made me laugh.
Have to admit I was looking for a black lady and ginger guy in game for a long time after the update and was a lil bit disappointed it wasn't a thing yet.

i say "stabby stab stab" as a trademark. but sometimes i get killed mostly in big civ. that sucks.

I like handing my stuff down to my kids and yes sometimes that means babies. Clothes keep them warm which they need more than adults as they have tiny bars and they can store berries/food in a backpack which could be life or death to your new grandkid even in a large city. Wolf hats/dyed hats/crowns need to go to my line especially if I or my mother or grandmother killed/dyed/forged that hat.
Knifes I pass on to someone who is baking/taking care of sheep/working hard. However if said person ignores me and my bar is down to five I'll pop backpack with knife on a baby just to avoid noobs running off with it after I go to the respawn, after all the baby can't use it and you have time to swap packs and get it from the baby.

Goot points! I dont agree with the "dont walk away from your mother" part. I mostly like to temp run around the village to get a feel for what jobs are needed, you can last long with four bars if you run with perfect temp. This also allows you to start working asap, because you allready know what the village needs.
That's fine but if you end up with me as a mother I'm not going to feed you, sure other people might but I won't (unless I'm the last female AND you are a girl). Seriously it's three minutes are you really so impatient you cant temp run as a child? I like my children to stay in a nice spot or next to where I am working. It's easier for me to feed as I can see you "f" and I don't have to worry about where you are.
I think you can still get poo by feeding unsheared sheep

No clue if it has already been posted but wouldn't it be cool if you could go Ice Fishing. The way I picture it is it works similar to a snare in that you could put you fish lure over an ice hole then come back and collect the fish. I imagine using a rope tied to a short shaft and adding a worm as bait for the fish.
This could add fish to the game without adding in rivers, lakes and oceans. You could also cook it same way as geese and rabbits by putting over hot coals on a skewer.
Animals behind trees and snakes not in the desert are pretty annoying.
Tool hiding is really bad, I had someone hide the shears on me whilst I was making compost/sheparding.
I told her again and again mufflon makes lamb, lamb makes poo, sheep with wool aren't needed so shear them because dead lambs are annoying. She said I was stupid and could feed adult sheep with wool for poo instead of overcrowded the pen. She then tried to kill me with bow and arrow. Had to hide that arrow after it landed on the ground and get more shears from smith. I also learned people are crazy when they have an idea stuck in their head and left one not need sheep with wool PLUS the mufflon to make lambs as I didn't want to get almost killed again. She still wasn't happy I was feeding lambs to get poo though but I was done trying to explain.
Being in an eve camp and you are trying to make plates, bowls and nozzle but your kid keeps covering the kiln making coal. Of course we all starved as we really needed omelettes and no plates, no food.
Also in an eve camp (everything is more annoying when you are at that point) and you collect ropes to make fire tools but your kids made snares out of them, you run out of wild milkweed in near by biomes and you have no way of growing more without said fire tools.
Your only daughter being a role playing noob in an Eve Camp that screams she wants pies and we need to grow wheat whilst I'm trying to plant carrots as fast food to stay alive and berries for the future. Said daughter also will not grow the wheat herself nor make plates nor make an oven. You can't even trust her to feed her kids which is literally her only job and she grabs your son naming him Dog.
Also babies that poke bear caves in an Eve Camp (not so terrible later on but still bad).
Really just being in an Eve camp can be stressful both as the Eve and the first gen.
I just spent a life with a hoe that made people say "I need a hoe tonight" lol
Bowls, you need them for everything. Want a farm? You need a bowl. Want to Smith? Bowl. Want to make dirt? Bowl. Want to run far as a young kid? Bowl of berries. Want some Stew? Bowl.
Never enough of them and how lovely that they stack now, brilliant.
Saturday I had a fun life.
I was born in a fair size town and seen a road for the first time. As soon I got hair I gathered a bowl of berries and I ran on that road, I ran all the way up and all the way down. I did it over and over and over and over, my mother even said "not another road slut". I pretty much only ran on the road that entire life, however I was a girl and I raised three amazing boys Gingerbread Man, Fast Car and Road Rage.
I held on to them and ran up and down the road holding them teaching them that flat stone and floor stakes make road. I felt the joy in being able to type whilst running not something I can usually manage, may have gone a little over board as I sang/recited "You've got a fast car", "Run and run as fast as you can" and "Its all over the front page, you give me road rage" depending on which of my kids I was holding at the time.
If someone would have killed me, I'd for sure have been sad but definitely not mad. In that life it was my time to run and it could have been the life where their patience was short. I think the reason I was spared was that I was a female and it was update day, people do go loopy over the shiny new things.
So I guess my input in this thread is yes it nice to goof off sometimes but yes it can get you killed. As for if it is griefing or not, well that is up to the town you are living in to judge. If they feel you were killed unnecessarily they can always kill/curse.
So you were the annoying dude that was trying to get my toddlers Willow and Rowan married to a pile of bones, I was seriously considering taking you out with a bow lol

Please, please do not do this again. I was born a girl and my mother named me Jason, she also named all my brothers and sisters Jason. She would name random kids Jason and run around saying you are Jason. Of course some of them were griefers and the murder victims would say curse Jason which meant a ton of people cursed me the original Jason and not the Jason insert number who actually did the killings.
It is not fun and it is not clever.
I had a grandma once who was cursed and she worked really hard, was a fairly nice person. I have no idea why she was cursed. In fact of the four cursed adults I've seen in game only one of them did something horrendous in their new life.
The first one I ever seen wasn't a productive member of society but she stayed near the fire and children flocked to her asking for her to speak in her cool black text, which she did for them (her words were not even rude).
I am not someone who would raise a cursed baby, I even let babies that do not talk starve, however not all cursed kids will be evil.
So kill them when young fine, but if you do not then don't murder them for no reason as an adult or even worse curse them for no reason. If you do you are griefing them.
Also if you want to curse someone you can even do it in your next life, doesn't have to be the same town as your killer/griefer just same server.
